Packers and movers charges in Chennai
These October 2026 figures are indicative budget guides for normal packing and ordinary access. Your accepted written quote sets the payable amount. The written quote you receive after we have seen your inventory is the figure that counts.
| Home size | Budget range |
|---|---|
| 1RK | ₹3,500–5,500 |
| 1BHK | ₹5,000–8,500 |
| 2BHK | ₹8,000–13,000 |
| 3BHK | ₹11,500–19,000 |
| 4BHK or villa | ₹17,000–28,000+ |
Larger inventories are assessed individually. Local quotes use the vehicle and crew we actually schedule for your load, not a single city-wide tariff.
What moves the price
- The volume of goods and the number of heavy pieces, such as a fridge, washing machine, wardrobes, bureau or treadmill.
- Floor, lift availability and the carry from door to vehicle at both addresses.
- Distance between the two addresses and whether the vehicle can reach the entrance.
- How much we pack and which materials that needs.
- The date. Month-end and weekends are popular, so a flexible date can help.
- Vehicle size and, for vehicle transport, the carrier type and model.
What the base household quote covers
For a household move, packing, loading, road transport, unloading and any agreed assembly are counted once, together, in the base scope. GST is shown as a separate line. Vehicle transport has its own base scope, written separately. Other work and charges are marked included, extra or not applicable, so the same task is not billed twice.
| Item | How it appears |
|---|---|
| Packing, loading, road transport, unloading, agreed assembly | Included in the base household scope |
| GST | Separate line |
| Optional transit cover | Extra, only if you choose it |
| Tolls and parking | Included, extra or not applicable, stated before booking |
| Stairs or a long carry | Included, extra or not applicable after access review |
| Crates for fragile or large items | Included, extra or not applicable as agreed |
| Waiting time | Written allowance or extra rate and when it applies |
| Holding or storage | Extra, by assessment |
| Transfer to another vehicle | Extra, only if needed |
| Technical work such as AC or electrical | Extra, arranged and priced separately |
| Unpacking of contents | Included, extra or not applicable as agreed |
| Removal of packing material | Included, extra or not applicable as agreed |
| Fittings that stay with the landlord | N/A, left off the inventory |
Mini Truck or Larger Vehicle: Choose From Your Inventory
A Tata Ace or similar mini-truck enquiry and a request for a 14 ft, 17 ft or 19 ft truck describe vehicle options to assess, not a fixed size for every home. Availability and usable capacity need confirmation for your dates. Send room photos, the carton count and the packed dimensions of the largest pieces.
- Few items: list each bed panel, appliance and carton. A small-looking load can still contain an oversized piece.
- A furnished flat: include wardrobes, sofa sections, dining furniture and appliances, with anything dismantled shown as packed pieces.
- A narrow approach: check the vehicle stopping point and whether one trip, multiple trips or an assessed transfer is practical.
- A large home: compare the complete carrying and packing work, vehicle capacity and any additional trip rather than choosing from the BHK label alone.
The two-address worksheet below ties this capacity decision to the actual doors and lift windows. A smaller truck can help with road access, but it does not make an oversized bureau fit around a staircase turn.
Two-gate inventory and handover worksheet
Count the shapes, then write the list
A room count is a starting point. It does not tell the loading team how many separate pieces they will handle. This photo shows why: tall packages, smaller pieces and an irregular item all need their own place on the inventory.
For your Chennai move, give each package a simple number and keep that number on the written list. If a bed becomes several panels, record the panels and the fittings bag as separate packages linked to the same bed.
Share the final list with the person receiving the goods. A photo helps with identification, but the numbered list is what you can count against at both gates.
A missing lift booking or an unmeasured doorway can change the work at either address, so we plan both with equal care. Before the quote is final, we put the facts about each gate next to the inventory so you can see what the price assumes. Keep it with the accepted estimate so the crew and receiver use the same plan.
What we note at both addresses
| Detail | What we note | Who confirms |
|---|---|---|
| Inventory version | A dated list with photos, numbered v1, v2 and so on, so every change is visible | You send it; we read it back |
| Items that stay | Fittings and appliances owned by the landlord or society, plus the owned items you have accepted for the move, each with an ID | You |
| Address and PIN | Both full addresses with block or tower and PIN code | You |
| Goods entrance | Which gate or entrance the vehicle will use and where it can lawfully stop | You, with building security if needed |
| Carry path | Width of doors and passages, turns, steps and the distance from the vehicle to the room | You send photos; we check |
| Stairs and lift | Floor, lift size and whether a goods lift slot must be booked | You or the building |
| Bulky pieces | Packed height, width and depth of the bureau, wardrobe or pooja unit, and the full path they must take | You measure; we confirm the handling |
| Time windows | The window allowed for packing and loading at pickup, and the window for the goods lift or unloading at delivery | You, with the building |
| Receiver | Who receives the goods, a backup person, keys, permission and the room being ready | You |
Two windows, not one ETA
A map can tell you roughly when a vehicle reaches an area. It cannot tell you whether packing finished in time, whether the pickup society allowed loading when you needed it, or whether the delivery building has a goods lift free. We therefore treat the pickup packing and loading window and the destination unloading window as separate items, and we assess packing, carry and travel time ourselves instead of relying on a map estimate alone.
Sample: Velachery 2BHK to Sholinganallur
In this hypothetical planning example, picture a third-floor 2BHK in Velachery moving to a tower in Sholinganallur.
- Version v1 lists two beds, wardrobes, a fridge, a washing machine (W01), a sofa, a TV, kitchen items and cartons.
- The washing machine W01 belongs to the landlord and stays. It is marked DROP, and the revised inventory is used to reassess the scope and quote.
- A steel bureau (B01) turns up. It is added with its packed size and marked PENDING until the full carry path, from the room to the vehicle and into the new tower, is confirmed as workable.
- The goods lift booking at the destination tower is PENDING. We do not assume that reaching the road means the load is ready to unload.
- A new dated v2, with the accepted list, becomes the basis of an updated quote.
The decision before loading
Before loading starts we confirm the actual lift permission and a safe carry path, with a buffer for packing and travel time. If something differs on the day, you choose one of three routes. First, confirm the permission and carry path and proceed. Second, approve an assessed written alternative carry, but only where it is safe and any permission is obtained and its cost quoted. Third, reschedule, take a new slot, or arrange holding, with availability stated clearly. Any alternative stair carry or transfer needs a safe method, the required permission and an agreed price. A smaller vehicle cannot solve a bureau that will not turn on the stairs.
One record for everyone
The approved, dated record goes to you, our coordinator, the crew and the driver, and it names the person actually ready to receive, a backup, the keys, the permission and the room that will be ready. That keeps the day practical: nobody has to guess what was agreed.
At final handover
At delivery we check the IDs on the list against the goods in front of you, and we check the visible condition of those goods too. A matching ID is not proof that the item arrived undamaged, so the condition is recorded along with the ID.
Moving services we quote in Chennai
We handle household shifting within Chennai and to other cities, selected furniture and small loads, office goods, bikes and cars. The exact scope of every job is written into your quote, so you know where our work starts and ends.
House shifting, local and intercity
Full-house moves run from a 1RK flat to an independent house or villa: packing, loading, transport, unloading and, if you want it, unpacking. Local moves cover the city, OMR, ECR and the suburbs. Intercity moves cover the routes listed further down the page, and other cities on request.
Selected furniture and small loads
If you are moving a bed, a sofa, a fridge and a few cartons, you do not need a full-home booking. Send the item list and photos and we quote the vehicle and handling for just those pieces.
Office goods
Desks, chairs, cabinets, files and boxed equipment for small offices. IT work is covered in the office section below.
Bike and car transport
Two-wheelers and cars can travel on their own or alongside a household move. The carrier type and the vehicle model are quoted separately.
Packing, materials, loading and unloading
Packing, materials, loading and unloading can be booked as a package or in parts. Storage is available by assessment.
Items we discuss first
International moves, pets, industrial equipment and specialist lifting need a conversation before anything is promised. Tell us what is involved and we will say plainly whether and how we can take it on.
Labour-only, vehicle-only or full service
Many people compare quotes that describe different jobs. Decide first which of these you actually need.
| Option | Suits | Who packs | Who loads and drives | Watch for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Labour-only within a building or compound | Flat-to-flat shifts in one complex, or moving furniture between floors | You | Our team carries; no long-distance vehicle | Everything must be packed before we arrive; stair or lift carry |
| Few items, vehicle only | A handful of furniture pieces, appliances or cartons | You, or add packing | Vehicle and loading as quoted | Confirm who loads and who unloads |
| Complete packing and moving, local | Whole flats and houses across Chennai | We pack with materials | We load, transport and unload; unpacking is optional | The widest scope, so inventory accuracy drives the quote |
| Interstate, shared vehicle | Smaller loads, or a whole home if capacity and dates fit, with flexible delivery | You or us | Vehicle shared with other loads | Delivery timing depends on the vehicle's other stops |
| Interstate, dedicated vehicle | Larger homes and closer control of dispatch | You or us | Vehicle carries only your goods | Quoted by vehicle and date; closer control is not an arrival guarantee |
Vehicle only versus full service
A vehicle-only booking costs less. It suits you if you can pack well and have helpers at both ends. The trade-off is that packing quality, time and loose-item risk are yours. Full service makes more sense when you have fragile or heavy items, little time, or two addresses that both need careful handling. If you book loading only for a vehicle you arrange yourself, we quote it separately and write down who is responsible for what.
Chennai local guide: OMR, ECR, towers, lanes and monsoon
OMR and ECR are different approaches
Old Mahabalipuram Road (OMR) runs south from Madhya Kailash through Perungudi, Thoraipakkam and Sholinganallur, with many apartment towers and gated communities along it. East Coast Road (ECR) is the coastal road that runs south from the Thiruvanmiyur and Neelankarai side towards Puducherry, with a mix of independent houses, villas and smaller communities, often on inner lanes. Tell us the exact stretch you are on, not just OMR or ECR, and for towers the block, the goods entrance and the lift size. We do not assume that one rule or one level of access applies to a whole corridor.
Towers and gated communities
Name the tower or block, the entrance the vehicle will use and whether a goods lift is bookable. Some associations want notice before a move; ask yours, because rules differ from building to building.
Narrow streets in Mylapore, George Town and similar areas
Entrances in older neighbourhoods are checked one by one. A street that looks fine on a map may not take a vehicle. A photo or location pin of the entrance and the narrowest point is worth more than a description. If the vehicle has to stop short, we plan a hand carry and say so in the quote.
Independent houses and suburbs
Areas such as Tambaram, Porur, Ambattur, Avadi and Medavakkam often have outside staircases, narrow gates or parked cars on the lane. Tell us about steps, gate width and anything overhead, and we will plan the carry.
Monsoon moves, October to December
The northeast monsoon season is a good time to keep dates flexible. Ask for a dry loading point at both ends, keep cartons off wet floors and check the forecast closer to the date. If weather makes loading unsafe, we would rather discuss a new date than load furniture in a downpour.
Chennai areas to include in your enquiry
For a mover near your Chennai address, send the actual street, PIN and both entrances. Our branch is in Senneerkuppam; a locality name helps place the enquiry but does not establish the available crew or a fixed arrival time.
| Part of Chennai | Examples | Useful detail to send |
|---|---|---|
| North | Royapuram, Tondiarpet, Perambur, Kolathur, Madhavaram, Red Hills | Street, goods entrance and where the vehicle can lawfully stop |
| Central | Anna Nagar, T Nagar, Nungambakkam, Kilpauk, Mylapore, Alwarpet | Floor, lift dimensions, stair turns and any carry from the stopping point |
| South and suburbs | Adyar, Velachery, Madipakkam, Medavakkam, Pallavaram, Tambaram | Building, block, room readiness and the permitted receiving window |
| West | Porur, Valasaravakkam, Mogappair, Ambattur, Avadi, Poonamallee | Exact lane and gate, not just a main-road landmark |
| OMR and ECR | Perungudi, Thoraipakkam, Sholinganallur, Navalur; Neelankarai, Injambakkam, Uthandi | Which corridor, society or tower and the actual goods entrance |
If the destination is beyond these examples, send the full address for an availability and price assessment. Access is checked for the particular property; a neighbourhood does not have one universal lift rule or truck entry arrangement.
Moving out of and into Chennai: routes and shared or dedicated vehicles
These are 2BHK household budget guides for moves from Chennai. Your destination address, load and the shared or dedicated choice decide the final quote and delivery window. Figures marked From are starting points, not ceilings.
| Destination | 2BHK budget range |
|---|---|
| Bangalore | From ₹20,500 |
| Hyderabad | ₹18,000–29,000 |
| Mumbai | ₹36,500–55,500 |
| Delhi | ₹20,000–35,500 |
| Coimbatore | From ₹20,500 |
| Madurai | ₹19,500–27,500 |
| Pune | ₹28,500–40,500 |
| Kolkata | ₹19,500–27,500 |
These are normal shared-vehicle budgets unless the route guide for that destination says otherwise. A dedicated vehicle is assessed and quoted separately. No single price or time applies to every route, so use the route guide for your destination for distance and its own delivery clock.
Shared, part load and dedicated
A shared vehicle usually costs less, and its delivery depends on the other loads it carries. A shared load can take a whole home when capacity and dates fit. A part load is simply a smaller portion of a shared vehicle, not a third kind of service. A dedicated vehicle carries only your goods and gives closer control over dispatch, but it does not guarantee an arrival time.
How timing is counted
Check the starting milestone in the specific route guide: packing, pickup and dispatch describe different points in the move. Where a window is stated after dispatch, packing, loading and consolidation happen before it starts. The unloading slot at the delivery address is agreed before departure and reconfirmed as the vehicle nears its ETA, and the agreed schedule depends on the vehicle, receiving appointment and actual route. Use the destination guide for its distance and timing basis.
Moving into Chennai
The same worksheet applies in reverse. Send the pickup address in your current city and the Chennai delivery details, including the tower, goods entrance and lift. The Chennai gate matters as much as the loading end, so we plan it from the start.
Use the destination guide for its own quote basis
For a move within Tamil Nadu, compare the Coimbatore shifting guide or the Madurai route and charges. For Maharashtra, see Chennai to Pune moving options; for West Bengal, see the Kolkata route guide. Each explains its own distance, dispatch clock and receiving arrangements. A local Chennai tariff is not an intercity price.
Bike and car transport from Chennai
The carrier type and the exact vehicle model change the price, so tell us the make and model when you ask. These are budget guides for two routes. For other routes, ask and we will quote it.
| Vehicle | Budget range |
|---|---|
| Bike | From ₹5,500 |
| Hatchback | ₹9,500–11,500 |
| Sedan | ₹10,000–14,000 |
| SUV | ₹12,000–18,000 |
| Vehicle | Budget range |
|---|---|
| Standard bike | ₹4,000–7,500 |
| Standard car | ₹8,000–14,500 |
| SUV, premium vehicle or closed carrier | Quoted separately |
What the vehicle quote shows
We state the actual vehicle model and whether the carrier is open or enclosed. The collection and delivery points are written in the quote. The vehicle’s separate base scope, wrapping, collection, delivery, loading, unloading and optional cover are marked included, extra or not applicable, with GST shown separately, so you can see what is in and what is extra.
Before the vehicle goes
- Take dated photos of the vehicle, the odometer reading, keys and any accessories.
- Keep copies of the papers the quote asks for.
- Follow the maker's and the carrier's guidance on fuel and battery. There is no universal fuel level that suits every vehicle.
A car or bike can follow a different carrier window from the household load. Confirm its collection and delivery dates, authorised receiver and condition record separately; vehicle arrival does not complete the household inventory.
Moving a bike or car within Chennai
For a local vehicle enquiry, send the make, model, running condition and both exact points. Confirm the available transport arrangement and whether loading, collection and delivery are included. A non-running vehicle or one with low ground clearance needs assessment. Do not apply an interstate carrier price to a short city move or assume the household vehicle can automatically take the bike.
How we pack and prepare different items
Packing is the part you cannot redo once the vehicle leaves, so it is worth knowing how different things are usually handled. The exact materials are listed in your quote.
- Beds and wardrobes: dismantled only where the design allows it, with detachable panels protected separately and fittings labelled and bagged, and assembly at the new address as agreed.
- Kitchen items: crockery and glassware are wrapped one by one and boxed with dividers and cushioning. Keep spice and oil containers sealed and upright.
- TVs and screens: kept upright and protected on all sides. If you still have the original box, keep it out for us. For large or especially fragile screens, assess whether a crate is needed.
- Steel bureaus and almirahs: emptied and measured first. Doors are secured and the piece is wrapped to prevent scratches during the carry.
- Pooja units and idols: measure the unit, and tell us if you would rather pack the idols yourself. Many families do.
- Books, files and small appliances: smaller cartons, not oversized ones, so no box becomes too heavy to carry safely.
- Fridge and washing machine: empty and prepare them as the maker's manual says, including defrosting and drying the fridge and fitting transit bolts or restraints on the washer if the model needs them. There is no universal rule about days before or restarting, so follow your model's manual. Disconnection of AC or electrical connections is done by a qualified technician, quoted separately.
- Mattresses and sofas: wrapped to stay clean and dry, which matters more in the monsoon months.
- Plants: ask before booking. Whether they can travel depends on the plant, the distance and the weather.
If you pack some items yourself, tell us. Owner-packed cartons are carried on terms we agree and write into the quote, because we cannot vouch for what was packed inside.

Office, tenant and few-item moves
Office relocation in Chennai
For moves around Guindy, Perungudi, Ambattur or similar areas, list desks, cabinets, files and boxed equipment by team or destination room, and give each physical asset an ID. Name one person to release the goods and another to receive them. Mention any weekend or after-hours access window before booking.
IT work needs its own plan. Backup, disconnection, reconnection and testing are done by your own qualified IT team, or by a technician we arrange separately, subject to availability and priced apart from the move. Specialist machinery is assessed separately. Allow time for reconnection and testing before normal operations resume.
Tenants and single movers
For a 1RK or small 1BHK, photos and a complete inventory are more useful than the home size alone. Tell us which fittings belong to the landlord, what you will pack yourself and whether you need a vehicle or only carrying help in the same building.
Few-item moves
A few items are priced on the actual count, the packed size, the weight and volume, and the charging basis, and a minimum charge can apply. A large 4BHK or a dedicated vehicle is assessed separately. If your list grows towards a whole home, we say so and reassess the volume, vehicle capacity and scope; a full household can still use shared transport where capacity and dates fit.
PG, hostel and furnished-room moves
Ask what the new room already supplies before sending a bed, cupboard or appliance. For a PG near Guindy, Tambaram or an OMR campus, confirm whether furniture is accepted, where the vehicle may stop and who can receive the cartons. Quote the actual list, not a full-home package just because the address is in a large building.
Family pieces and the first evening
Flag a heavy steel bureau, wet grinder, pooja unit or old wooden cot during the survey. Keep originals and valuables out of the furniture before it is packed. If you need to use one room first, label its bedding, basic kitchen items and clothing separately and agree placement at the receiving home.
Same-Day, Sunday and Housewarming-Date Moves
For local shifting, ask for the packing-and-loading window and the receiving window separately. Packing volume, the travel between addresses, stairs, long carry and a booked goods lift all affect when the job can finish. Do not plan a local 2 BHK from driving time alone.
Fix the date around both homes
If you have a housewarming or muhurtham date, tell the coordinator whether that is the day furniture must arrive or a separate ceremony. Keep the receiving room and access ready for the agreed unloading slot. Do not assume a month such as Aadi automatically brings a discount; compare the arrangements actually available on your dates.
For Sunday, a holiday, or a same-day or next-day request, confirm crew and vehicle availability as well as both buildings' permissions before committing to the rental handover. Offer alternative dates if you can, but use the quoted availability and price rather than assuming a weekday will always be cheaper.
During the northeast monsoon period, check forecasts near the date and arrange a dry staging point at both ends. If conditions or a lift booking change, agree a revised slot or other feasible plan before loading rather than letting a road arrival become an unplanned wait.
How a Chennai move works
- Call or use the enquiry form with both addresses, the floor at each, the rough size of the home and your preferred date.
- Send photos or a short video walkthrough of each room. For a large or tricky move we may ask for more photos or a closer look.
- We prepare the dated inventory and ask the access questions from the two-gate worksheet.
- You receive a written quote covering the scope, the vehicle, the date and the price.
- You approve the quote, and we fix the date and window.
- On the day, packing and loading happen as scoped, with items checked against the list, and we update you through dispatch.
- The vehicle goes to the delivery address and unloading starts at the agreed point. If unpacking is booked, we do that; otherwise we place items as agreed. At handover you check the IDs and the condition of the goods against the inventory.
Transit cover, storage, transfer and holding
Optional transit cover
Transit cover can be added to a quote. Ask for the actual insurer's policy in writing, with the declared value, exclusions, deductible and the steps for reporting a claim. It sits alongside the carrier's liability. Confirm the offered premium and claim terms against the actual policy.
Storage
Storage is offered only when it is needed and feasible. We confirm the operator, the location, availability, custody arrangements, how items are identified, the condition of goods, access, duration, rate and how exit and redelivery work. Confirm the actual facility and any required storage conditions before handing goods over.
Transfer between vehicles
Transfer is used only when needed and lawful: for example, when a large vehicle cannot enter a lane and goods need to move to a smaller one. The operator and location must be permitted and available, and the crew handles unloading, reloading and carrying. The local leg is costed once, and the IDs and the visible condition of the goods are recorded, not just the IDs.
Backup receiver and holding
A backup receiver needs keys and authority to receive the goods, with gate permission, lift or stairs, crew access and the receiving room ready. If they are not, we write down a new slot, or an assessed holding arrangement, instead of unloading into an unready room.
Advance, cancellation and rescheduling
Ask for stage payments, cancellation and rescheduling terms in writing before you book or pay an advance.
Paperwork, valuables and restricted items
E-way bill and documents
Confirm the documents required for your actual shipment with the operator before loading. For business goods, new equipment or stock, have your accountant confirm any invoice and e-way-bill requirements. Share the billing details early so the paperwork matches the goods being moved.
Employer reimbursement
Whether your employer reimburses a move, and which paperwork they accept, depends on the employer. Ask your HR team what they need before you book, and tell us in advance so we can discuss what billing details we can provide.
Valuables and documents
Keep cash, jewellery and original documents with you. Do not pack them in boxes that go on the vehicle.
Pets, plants and hazardous items
Pets are not household cargo, so plan their travel separately. Plants need an assessment. Gas cylinders, flammables and chemicals are not ordinary cargo, and we discuss whether they can be accepted before booking. Whatever is agreed goes into the quote.
How to compare quotes properly
Two quotes for the same flat can differ by thousands of rupees and still both be honest, because they often describe different jobs. Compare scope before you compare totals.
| Question | Why it changes the price |
|---|---|
| Is packing and material included? | Packing is a large share of the work on a full-house move |
| Is unloading and placing at the new address included? | Some quotes stop at the vehicle |
| Is dismantling and reassembly of beds and wardrobes included? | It takes time and sometimes a carpenter |
| What vehicle model or size is quoted? | A smaller vehicle is cheaper but may not fit the load |
| What have they assumed about the street, doors and lift? | Access assumptions change the crew time and carry |
| Which date and time window does the quote cover? | The price can change if the date moves |
| How is the delivery clock counted? | Days may be counted after the vehicle leaves, not from booking |
| What is shown for GST and optional cover? | They change the final payable total |
Write each answer down for each quote and compare the payable totals on the same scope. If a lower quote leaves out unpacking or the vehicle size, it is a smaller job, not the same job at a lower price.
Why use ALPM for a Chennai move
ALPM, Agarwal Logistics Packers and Movers, is an independent packing and moving service. Our Chennai branch is at SF 88/3B-15, Shop No. 21, Jeevan Prakash Nagar, Senneerkuppam, Chennai - 600056, and you can speak to us directly on +91 94671 86002 about your load or to follow up on a quote.
- We scope the work from your actual inventory and photos, not from a guess based on BHK size.
- Vehicle model and date are quoted separately, so you can see what each choice does to the price.
- Pickup and delivery access get equal attention, so permissions, carrying work and receiving arrangements are assessed at both ends.
- You get a written quote, an inventory version you can check, and an agreed record that your coordinator, crew and driver all work from.
Common mistakes and a pre-move checklist
Common mistakes
- Booking by BHK size alone, without an inventory or photos.
- Not mentioning the lift, stairs or the distance from the gate to the door.
- Giving full details for the old address and forgetting the new one.
- Not measuring the bureau, pooja unit or treadmill before moving day.
- Comparing prices without comparing packing, unloading, dismantling and vehicle size.
- Paying a large advance without a written scope.
- Leaving cash, jewellery or documents in cartons.
- Adding items on the day without telling the team.
Pre-move checklist
- Count and photograph every room and large item.
- Mark which fittings and appliances stay with the landlord.
- Measure bulky furniture and the doors and turns it must pass through.
- Confirm the lift slot, parking and goods entrance at both addresses.
- Ask both societies whether they need advance notice.
- Prepare the fridge and washing machine as their manuals say, and arrange qualified disconnection where needed.
- Pack cash, jewellery and original documents separately and carry them yourself.
- Choose a flexible date if it is monsoon season.
- Read the written quote for scope, vehicle, date, GST and extras.
- Keep the inventory handy and check IDs and condition at delivery.
