Chennai to Erode Packers and Movers Charges
Guide ranges as of October 2026 apply to an ordinary, normally packed household with normal access. The final price follows the actual inventory, access and agreed work. Your inventory moves a price more than the BHK label does.

A few-items move is priced from the actual sizes and counts of what you send. Shared or consolidated space is used where inventory and dates fit. A dedicated whole vehicle, a heavy inventory or a narrow delivery slot is assessed separately.
What the base price counts once
Packing, loading, road transport, unloading and any agreed assembly are counted once. Every line of your estimate should say included, extra or not applicable, so nothing is counted twice or left to guesswork.

Textile stock and physical office goods are inventoried and quoted on their own lists, so they are not included in these BHK bands.
Choose vehicle space from the packed inventory
Ask the surveyor to show how the packed furniture, cartons and any accepted business bundles fit the proposed vehicle. A truck's advertised length does not describe its complete usable capacity. Include door height, heavy pieces, dismantled panels and any separately accepted bike in the assessment rather than assigning a fixed truck size to every 2BHK.
Compare shared space and a dedicated vehicle for the same list. A smaller load with flexible dates can suit shared transport; a fixed receiving appointment needs a clear dispatch plan. Declutter before the survey and agree any owner-packed cartons so the lower quote reflects less work, rather than missing unloading or protection.
Chennai Pickup: Plan the City Leg Before the Erode Journey
Your pickup address is where the packing team starts work. Give the flat number, street, landmark and gate location rather than only a Chennai locality name. A video of the largest furniture and the route from the room to the loading point helps identify work that a carton count can miss.
Western Chennai: Porur, Poonamallee, Avadi and Ambattur
Include beds, steel cupboards, balcony contents and loft storage in the survey. If the home and goods vehicle use different entrances, share both gates. For independent houses, check the staircase turn and doorway before deciding whether a wardrobe can travel assembled.
Central and southern pickups
For an Anna Nagar or T Nagar flat, confirm the building's loading space and lift appointment. A pickup from Velachery, OMR or Tambaram also needs its own Chennai approach before the highway journey. Book your packing slot around the actual address and permitted access, rather than treating the road-distance figure as the complete moving schedule.
Moving a rented room or selected furniture
If only a bed, fridge, desk and cartons are going, send dimensions and photographs of those pieces. Ask for the minimum charge, packing scope and shared dispatch window. You do not need a full-house estimate for a selected load; equally, a few large pieces may occupy more space than several small cartons.
Route, Distance and Transit Time
Both ends are in Tamil Nadu, so this is an intrastate move with no state border to plan around. Map routing gives about 410 km: 409 km via NH48, 405 km via NH48 and Polur Road, or 399 km via NH48 and NH179A. The road your goods actually take depends on the carrier, your pickup door and the day, so treat 410 km as a planning figure.
An illustrative path runs Chennai, Salem, Erode, joined by national highway stretches. It does not mean the whole journey stays on one highway or passes fixed towns.

Why goods do not match the passenger drive
A passenger car is routed at roughly seven hours fifteen minutes to eight hours thirty-five minutes. That is not a goods ETA. Goods also need packing, loading, loading checks, unloading and a count at the other end.

Shared space is not only for small moves
A part load is a portion of shared space, not a third mode. A whole house can also share a vehicle where capacity and dates fit. If your dates are tight or the inventory is heavy, ask for a dedicated vehicle to be assessed instead.
Household Clothing and Saleable Textile Stock: Keep Two Lists
Keep personal boxes separate from business stock
A truck full of cartons tells you little about ownership or contents. The stacked boxes in this photo show why two consignments should be distinguishable without opening them.
If your Chennai to Erode move includes household goods and business stock, make separate lists and use different outer label references. Tell the mover what each group contains so packing, documentation and handling can be assessed. Keep personal clothes distinct from saleable textile inventory.
Check both lists before dispatch and give the Erode receiver the same references. If the groups have different delivery doors, agree the stop sequence and unloading arrangements in writing.
Erode is known for textile trading, so some moves mix a family home with a shop or small business. Family clothes, bedding and daily wear belong on the household list. State both numbers on the list: 10 outer handling units, including textile stock with 24 declared inner packs. The household cartons remain four outer units; their contents are not part of that stock-piece count. There are not 28 outer packages.
When the total looks right but does not reconcile
Suppose ten outer units arrive, but T04 is missing and another unit carries a repeated or wrong ID. The total of ten still does not reconcile. Compare each ID with the loading list and record the unmatched labels and visible condition. Contact the coordinator to establish whether this is a labelling error, an extra package or a missing unit before recording a reconciled handover. Correct the inventory version and retain the discrepancy note; a duplicate label alone does not establish which contents are missing. This records what arrived. It is not automatic compensation.
Counting what is inside
Where the owner can, record inner counts before sealing. If a bundle is already sealed, the sender declares the quantity. The crew does not verify the contents of closed bundles. If your receiver needs inner pieces checked, name the authorised person and agree how, where and when a bundle is opened, counted and recorded before the move is agreed.
Pack goods dry. Wrapping reduces dust and light splashes, but it is not a waterproof guarantee.
Delivery in Erode, Perundurai, Bhavani and Gobichettipalayam
A flat in Erode city, a house in Perundurai, a home in Bhavani and a shop in Gobichettipalayam are different jobs. Road width, gate rules and where a vehicle can stand all change the work. We assess the actual address, not a stereotype of the town or one city price.

Home and stock shop on the same move
If goods go to a home and a stock shop, you may have two final doors. That can mean two unloading stops or appointments. A second stop is not a free extra.
Busy commercial and textile market areas can be crowded, so arrival timing is planned with your receiver. We do not promise a fixed access hour.
If the home or shop is not ready
A backup receiver only helps if the gate, lift, crew and rooms are available. Otherwise we agree a new slot or a permitted, assessed holding arrangement with terms in writing. Agree any waiting and holding costs first, and confirm storage availability before relying on it.

Keep the receiving address separate from the broad destination name on your enquiry. A home in Thindal and a stock delivery in a commercial street need different information, even when both are described as Erode.

For a house and shop delivery together, load in the agreed drop order and keep the two lists with their receivers. Before the first stop is closed, record what has been handed over and what remains in the vehicle for the second address. The original total alone cannot show which door received each package.

Fit checks before packing
Large furniture has to get out of one building and into another. Measure doors, stairs and the lift cabin, and check the lift's capacity. Send photos from both ends. Beds and wardrobes that need dismantling and reassembly are agreed on the estimate. Fixed carpentry and special handling are assessed separately.
Materials matched to what is being packed

- Rigid packing or a crate for a screen, if assessed as needed
Who packs what
Ordinary goods can be packed by you or by the crew. Fragile items need more care in either case. If you pack them yourself, ask how that affects cover terms. Placing cartons and furniture in the right rooms is a different job from unpacking their contents, so say which you want.
Appliances
Follow the appliance manual. A refrigerator is usually defrosted and dried, and a washing machine drained, with transit restraints fitted if the manual requires them. A qualified technician disconnects and installs, and that is quoted separately. There is no universal waiting time before an appliance is switched on, so follow the maker's instruction.
Office Relocation: Desks, Files and Boxed Computers
For offices we move physical goods: desks, chairs, cabinets, files and boxed computers. Agree the following before packing day.
- Asset or department labels on every item, so goods land in the right place
- A named person releasing goods at the Chennai end and a named receiver in Erode
- Your own qualified IT team backing up data and disconnecting and reconnecting systems and the network
Schedule the physical delivery and IT reconnection separately so the office restart is planned around both. If the same move includes saleable textile stock, it is inventoried and quoted separately from office and home goods.

Storage, Transit Cover and Claims Basics
Storage
If you need storage between homes, ask for the actual operator and location, availability, how goods are logged at intake with IDs and condition, access, duration, rate, exit and redelivery. Confirm those arrangements before dispatch so custody and redelivery responsibilities are clear.
Transit cover
Cover is optional. Read the actual insurer's policy in writing: declared value, exclusions, deductible and how a problem is reported. It sits alongside the carrier's own liability, and neither is automatic full compensation.
If you want empty cartons collected or packing waste removed, confirm availability and whether that work is included.
Booking, Changes and Updates on the Road
How booking works
- Send your enquiry with the route, home size, floors and preferred date.
- Share a photo or video inventory and details of access at both addresses, with any bike, car, office goods or stock listed separately.
- Receive an itemised written estimate showing what is included, extra or not applicable.
- Agree the contact person and update window for the move.
- Confirm the date and any advance stated in the estimate.
- On packing day, the crew packs and numbers cartons and outer packages, and you check the IDs and visible condition.
- At the destination, goods are unloaded at the agreed door and checked against the same list.
Changes
Advance payment, cancellation and rescheduling follow the written terms of your estimate. Do not assume a free change policy, and ask for the terms to be written down before you confirm.
Updates
Updates come through the agreed contact and window. Agree the dispatch record to be shared, when a revised arrival estimate is needed, and who checks with the receiver before arrival.

Used personal clothes and goods being sent for sale are different consignments. For textile stock, have the consignor or accounts team confirm the invoice or delivery challan and any applicable e-way bill before collection. Give the carrier the correct consignor, consignee and delivery details. Do not rely on a personal-household list to describe saleable stock.
Rain and fixed family dates
For an October–December move, check the forecast close to packing day and arrange a dry place to pack and load. Let washed clothes and textile bundles dry before sealing them. If moving around Pongal, Deepavali or a housewarming, check the actual available date and receiving appointment early. Carry the clothes, medicines, papers and cooking essentials needed before the full load is unpacked.
