Packers and Movers in Gurgaon for Local, Office and Intercity Moves
Agarwal (ALPM) helps plan house shifting, office relocation and intercity moves from Gurgaon and Gurugram. Compare local moving budgets, decide what needs packing and check access at both addresses before booking. A short sector-to-sector drive can still need two lift bookings or a different loading point. Start with your inventory and both building entrances; the written estimate can then cover the vehicle, handling and delivery arrangements your move actually needs.

What Decides the Cost and Timing of a Gurgaon Move
Two flats with the same BHK label can need very different moves. In Gurgaon, both the distance and the access matter. A loaded truck, a lift and a crew need a permitted route to your door and enough time to finish the work.
Settle these six points before you compare any price:
- Which kind of address you are leaving and arriving at: high-rise society, builder floor, newer-sector tower or Manesar.
- Who controls the lift and the gate at each end, and whether a lift slot must be booked.
- The real height and width of the vehicle that will come, set against the real gate and approach.
- What you own, room by room. Bulky items often decide the vehicle more than the BHK label does.
- Whether either end gives you a hard time window.
- Whether the route stays inside Gurgaon, crosses into Delhi or the wider NCR, or goes intercity.
Confirm these details at both properties so the estimate covers the actual work.
Gurgaon Address Types and What to Confirm for Each
Gurgaon addresses fall into a few practical types. This grouping is a planning aid, not a boundary map, and no row tells you what your own building will allow.
| Address type | Where you often find it | What usually needs deciding first | What to confirm in writing |
|---|---|---|---|
| High-rise societies | DLF phases, Golf Course Road and nearby, parts of Sohna Road | Service lift booking, crew entry formalities, protection for lifts and corridors | Slot start and end time, the crew details the gate needs, whether a move deposit applies |
| Builder floors and older sectors | Old Gurgaon, Civil Lines, Palam Vihar | Stairs, narrow lanes, parked cars, where the truck can stand | Number of flights, whether bulky items can turn on the landing, distance from truck to door |
| Newer-sector addresses | Recently delivered towers and societies in the newer parts of the city | Which gate and lane the vehicle must use, and map pins that may not match the tower | The exact gate, tower and service-lane entry, confirmed with the society office |
| Manesar | Residential and industrial pockets in and around Manesar | A different distance and approach from a city-sector move | The precise address, approach road and entry arrangements |
Societies write their own rules. A DLF tower and a Sohna Road society can differ as much as either differs from a builder floor, so ask the estate office or RWA for the move rules and pass them to us.
The district’s official administrative page lists Gurugram and Manesar as separate subdivisions with separate municipal corporations. That is one more reason to treat a Manesar address as its own destination. We keep separate pages for moves in Palam Vihar, Civil Lines and Manesar if your address falls in one of them.
Local Packers and Movers Charges in Gurgaon
Use these indicative ranges to budget for a local move. Your final written quotation follows an inventory and access assessment.
| Home size | Indicative range | Inventory this assumes |
|---|---|---|
| 1 RK | Rs.3,800 to 6,900 | One room, a bed, a small appliance or two, a modest number of cartons |
| 1 BHK | Rs.5,800 to 10,500 | Bedroom and living room, one wardrobe, fridge, washing machine, TV, kitchen basics |
| 2 BHK | Rs.8,500 to 15,500 | Two bedrooms, beds, wardrobes, sofa, dining set, main appliances, full kitchen |
| 3 BHK | Rs.12,500 to 22,000 | Three bedrooms, a larger furniture set, several appliances, balcony and storeroom items |
| 4 BHK | Rs.18,000 to 35,000 | Large homes with bulky furniture and many fragile items |
Every row assumes ordinary household goods, a distance of up to about 20 km inside Gurgaon, a usable approved lift at both ends, planned truck access to each building, and a standard scope of packing, loading, road transport and unloading.
Check whether applicable taxes, selected transit cover, specialist work, extra carrying, storage and tolls are included or additional. Any society deposit is a separate building requirement, not automatically a mover charge. Count each item once when comparing the total.
Your inventory overrides the label. A 2 BHK with one mattress and few cartons can sit near the lower end. A 2 BHK with a large wardrobe set, two refrigerators and a glassware collection can move toward or above the upper end.
What Moves the Price More Than the BHK Label
Quotes shift for reasons a BHK label hides. These are worth asking about:
- Volume and bulk: a storage bed, a big wardrobe set, a double-door fridge or a sofa that will not turn on a landing each add handling time.
- Carry distance: the walk from your door to the lift, and from the lift lobby to wherever the truck can stand.
- Floor and lift: a working service lift, a shared lift with a queue, or none.
- Packing scope: full packing, fragile items only, or loading only, plus any dismantling and reassembly.
- Date: weekends and month-end are busy for movers generally, so a flexible date can change what is on offer. Ask whether a different available date changes your estimate.
- Window length: a short lift slot may need more hands or a second slot.
Dedicated or shared vehicle matters too. A dedicated vehicle reserves the agreed space for your goods; its schedule still depends on access, road conditions and the agreed delivery window. Shared or consolidated loading can lower the budget on a long route but ties dispatch and delivery to other loads. Ask which one your quote assumes, local or intercity.
Comparing Three Quotes for the Same Home
Headline prices are hard to compare because each mover bundles different things. The figures below are an illustrative comparison, not actual offers from ALPM or other movers. Imagine the same 2 BHK, where the lift path needs one extra shuttle trip from the lift lobby to a truck standing outside.
| Line | Quote A | Quote B | Quote C |
|---|---|---|---|
| Headline price | 11,500 | 9,800 | 12,400 |
| Packing materials | Included | 2,600 extra | Included |
| Loading, transport, unloading | Included | Included | Included |
| Shuttle trip for the access problem | Not included, add 1,500 | Not included, add 1,500 | Included |
| Like-for-like total before tax | 13,000 | 13,900 | 12,400 |
| Taxes, cover, deposits | Compare separately | Compare separately | Compare separately |
Quote B looked cheapest, Rs.1,700 below A and Rs.2,600 below C. Once each missing item is added once, B is Rs.900 above A and Rs.1,500 above C. Do not add the shuttle to Quote C again, because it is already inside. Ask for the price of any missing work before adding it to your comparison; do not treat an unknown cost as zero.
Questions that make quotes comparable:
- Is packing material included, and what is it?
- Who carries from the lift lobby to the truck?
- What changes in the price if the truck cannot reach the gate?
- Are tax, cover and deposits shown as separate lines?
Pickup and Delivery Timing: A Worked Schedule
A move day runs on three clocks that people often merge into one: when packing starts, when the truck arrives, and when the last item is placed. They differ because packing can begin before the truck is allowed in, and unloading cannot begin until the destination lets you in.
The example below is illustrative, not a completed job. It assumes a 2 BHK moving between two societies about 12 km apart. The pickup service lift is available from 11:00 to 15:00. For this example, all delivery handling, placement and reassembly must finish within a 14:30 to 18:30 moving slot.
| Step | Time | Working |
|---|---|---|
| Crew reaches pickup gate, entry checks | 8:30 to 8:50 | 20 minutes at the gate |
| Packing and dismantling | 8:50 to 11:00 | 2 hours 10 minutes |
| Truck arrives as the lift slot opens | 11:00 | Pickup window starts |
| Loading through the service lift | 11:00 to 13:00 | 2 hours, including lift waits |
| Securing the load | 13:00 to 13:20 | 20 minutes |
| Road travel and destination gate check | 13:20 to 14:25 | 50 minutes driving plus 15 minutes at the gate |
| Wait for the destination window | 14:25 to 14:30 | 5 minutes |
| Unloading | 14:30 to 17:00 | 2 hours 30 minutes |
| Placement and reassembly | 17:00 to 17:45 | 45 minutes |
| Destination window closes | 18:30 | 45 minutes spare |
Read it this way: packing starts at 8:50, the truck arrives at 11:00 and the day ends at 17:45. That is nine hours and fifteen minutes from first gate arrival to last placement, although the vehicle is on the road for about an hour. A quote that mentions only a few hours of transit is not describing your day.
For a move into Delhi, Noida or Faridabad, reassess the road and gate allowance for the actual addresses. Ask which travel allowance the estimate assumed and what happens if traffic or a check on the way uses it up.
When pickup clearance comes later than the delivery slot
Use two formulas. Latest departure equals the delivery slot end minus all destination handling and reassembly time minus travel and gate allowance. Earliest departure equals the pickup lift start plus loading time plus securing time.
Suppose the pickup lift is free only from 13:00 to 17:00, while the delivery society requires all handling to finish within a 10:00 to 15:00 slot. Unloading takes 2 hours 30 minutes, placement and reassembly take another 45 minutes, and travel plus gate takes 1 hour 5 minutes. Latest departure is 15:00 minus 3:15 minus 1:05, which is 10:40. Earliest departure is 13:00 plus 2:00 plus 0:20, which is 15:20. The plan misses the latest departure by 4 hours 40 minutes; it needs a different slot or a different arrangement, rather than a rushed promise.
Options to raise with the society offices before the date is fixed:
- Ask the pickup society whether packed cartons may use the lift earlier, even if furniture waits for the slot.
- Ask the delivery society to extend or shift its window, and get the change confirmed in writing.
- Pick a date on which the two windows overlap properly.
- Hold the goods in storage between the two steps, if storage can be arranged, and plan a second access check at redelivery.
- Keep the loaded vehicle overnight and unload the next morning, only if the operator agrees to that in the written scope with the cost and risk stated.
Rain-day travel and the remaining lift-slot margin
Check the forecast and the actual approach roads before moving, then ask the operator to revisit the travel allowance if heavy rain affects the planned run. The worked schedule above allows 50 minutes driving, 15 minutes at the gate and 45 minutes spare before the destination slot closes. If the road leg takes 70 rather than 50 minutes and every other stage stays the same, completion moves from 17:45 to 18:05 and the spare margin falls to 25 minutes. That is arithmetic for the example, not a rainy-day travel forecast.
Tell the destination society when the revised arrival no longer leaves enough time for the agreed unloading and reassembly. Confirm a revised slot or an accepted waiting and later-unloading plan with its cost before arrival; do not solve a late ETA by assuming the lift booking will extend. Check whether both loading bays and the carry path offer dry staging, and keep bedding and cartons off wet ground. Wrapping does not make an exposed waiting area suitable for storing packed goods.
Truck, Gate and Lift Access Worksheet
Give the loading crew a usable window
Loading needs more than a vehicle reaching the gate. In this photograph, several people are working around large packages at the rear of the truck. They need space to carry, count and position the goods.
For a Gurgaon move, confirm the permitted loading window, goods lift and lawful stopping point with the actual building. Send photographs of the route between the room and vehicle, including steps or a long basement carry. Have the inventory and packing scope ready before that window starts.
If access changes on the day, tell the coordinator before goods are brought out. Agree the revised carry and any cost while there is still time to make a workable plan.
Do not rely on the nominal length of a truck’s load body, such as a 14 ft body. At the gate what matters is the overall height and width of the vehicle that actually comes, set against the barrier, the internal road and the turn into the loading area. Ask the operator for those overall dimensions and the vehicle type, and confirm the clear route with building management.
| Check | What to measure or ask | If it fits | If it does not fit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Gate and barrier | Clear height and width, and any bar or sign | Vehicle enters as planned | Vehicle stands outside, carry distance is reassessed and priced |
| Internal road and turns | Width, turning space, parked cars | Truck reaches the loading bay | Loading moves to another bay, or to a smaller vehicle only if one is available |
| Basement or low cover | Posted clearance and whether entry is permitted | Entry only with the society’s permission | A safe external bay is agreed and the carry is reassessed |
| Loading bay | Where the truck can stand and for how long | Direct loading from the lift lobby | Longer trolley route, with the extra time and crew counted |
| Lift cabin | Door width, depth, height, weight limit | Assess the protected item against the door, cabin and rated load | Assess safe dismantling or another approved route; follow appliance handling guidance |
| Stairs on builder floors | Flights, landing width, railings | Items carried as one piece | Assess whether safe dismantling or another approved method is possible |
| Second trip or shuttle | Whether a smaller vehicle exists and what each trip costs | Not needed | Shuttle scope stated: vehicle, number of trips, whether lift slots cover it |
Be careful with basements. If the posted clearance is lower than the vehicle, the answer is not automatically a free shuttle. The options are a smaller vehicle if one can be arranged, a safe external bay with a longer carry, or a different date. Whichever applies, the extra trip or carry should appear as its own line in your quote.
Record each change in four steps: baseline quote, access finding, new line, new total. For example, with round numbers chosen only to show the arithmetic, a baseline of Rs.12,000 plus a shuttle line of Rs.1,800 gives Rs.13,800. If the larger vehicle can safely reach the bay and the society permits it, the shuttle line comes off and the total returns to Rs.12,000.
Builder Floors, Stairs and Bulky Furniture
For a builder-floor move in Old Gurgaon, Civil Lines or Palam Vihar, first check whether a usable lift is available. Without one, assess the complete staircase route. Timing can be more flexible than in a society with a booking system, but lanes, parked cars and neighbours still shape the day.
Measure before moving day:
- The number of flights, and the width of each landing and turn.
- Your tallest and widest furniture item against the narrowest part of the stairs.
- Any steep or winding section.
- Where the truck can stand, and whether a parked car can be moved.
Sofa sets, wardrobes with fixed mirrors, glass or stone table tops and double-door refrigerators most often need a decision. If an item will not pass whole, the estimate should say whether it is dismantled, who reassembles it and what that adds. Mention narrow turns and tight railings when you describe the flat. A photo of the staircase helps.
Packing Scope, Materials and Fragile Items
Full home shifting or just a few items
A full household move can include beds, wardrobes, kitchen cartons and appliances; agree dismantling and room placement in the inventory. For a bed, fridge and a few boxes, list those items individually so you can compare a smaller load with a full-home estimate. Shared intercity space may suit flexible dates, while a local vehicle plan depends on the actual load and access.
Materials and handling scope
Packing scope is a choice, and the quote should say which one you made: full packing by the crew, packing of fragile and kitchen items only while you box soft goods, or loading and transport only.
Whatever the scope, the estimate should name the materials so you know what the price covers, such as cartons, corrugated sheets, bubble wrap, stretch film, tape and blankets for furniture. Protect screens and furniture edges; follow the television or appliance manufacturer’s transport instructions. Glassware and crockery are wrapped one piece at a time. Mirrors and glass tops need edge protection.
From assessment to delivery
A move runs best in this order:
- Share your inventory room by room, with both addresses.
- Answer the access questions in the worksheet above.
- Receive a written scope and price.
- Packing, with an itemised inventory prepared as items go into cartons.
- Loading, road transport and unloading within the agreed windows.
- Placement, a check against the inventory, and a note of any damage before you sign.
Keep documents, jewellery, medicines, chargers and anything irreplaceable with you. Ask about pets, plants and any restricted items before the date, and we will say plainly what we will and will not carry.
Intercity Packers and Movers from Gurgaon
These are conditional household budgeting guides, not fixed rates by distance. The price depends on inventory, floor and lift access at both ends, the vehicle arrangement and the date.
| Destination | 1 BHK | 2 BHK | 3 BHK |
|---|---|---|---|
| Gurgaon to Mumbai | Rs.13,500 to 24,000 | Rs.22,000 to 38,000 | Rs.32,000 to 52,000 |
| Gurgaon to Bangalore | Rs.22,500 to 30,500 | Rs.36,500 to 50,500 | Rs.60,500 to 85,500 |
| Gurgaon to Hyderabad | Rs.20,500 to 32,500 | Rs.34,500 to 52,500 | Rs.52,500 to 75,500 |
| Gurgaon to Pune | Rs.14,000 to 24,500 | Rs.22,500 to 38,500 | Rs.32,500 to 53,000 |
What to check on an intercity quote:
- Whether the vehicle is dedicated or shared with other loads.
- The dispatch window and the delivery window, written down.
- What happens if the destination is not open to the vehicle on arrival, including any waiting or redelivery charge.
- The access rules at the destination society, which are a second set of rules you also need to check.
Dispatch and delivery are separate milestones: shared loads may need consolidation before departure, and unloading follows destination access. Ask for a written window covering these stages. Route pages for Gurgaon to Mumbai, Gurgaon to Bangalore, Gurgaon to Hyderabad and Gurgaon to Pune carry more detail. For any other destination, ask for a quote based on your inventory.

Car and Bike Transport from Gurgaon
Vehicle transport depends on the route, so one number for every city would mislead. Use these route-specific market budgeting ranges as a starting point; they are estimates, and your final quotation depends on the model, carrier arrangement, date and pickup and delivery access.
| Route | Hatchback | Sedan | SUV | Commuter bike |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Gurgaon to Mumbai | 14,500 to 24,500 | 18,500 to 30,500 | 24,500 to 40,500 | 6,000 to 11,500 |
| Gurgaon to Bangalore | 18,500 to 30,500 | 22,500 to 36,500 | 30,500 to 48,500 | 7,000 to 14,000 |
| Gurgaon to Hyderabad | 13,500 to 17,500 (open) | 17,500 to 21,500 (open) | 21,500 to 24,500 (open) | 7,000 to 8,500 |
For cars, compare the same transport mode: an open carrier slot, enclosed transport and a driven collection leg have different costs and handover conditions. Agree which arrangement is available and included.
Kept outside the budget and shown as separate lines: taxes, any cover you select, a crate for a bike if one is needed, and doorstep collection or delivery that falls outside the quoted carrier scope, for example when a meeting point or a smaller vehicle is needed.
The carrier type and permitted collection and delivery points are agreed in the written scope after assessment. Before handover, photograph the vehicle from every side, note the odometer, fuel level and existing marks, keep the registration and insurance papers ready, and ask what documents the operator needs for your route.
Winter Pollution Rules, Vehicle Category and Delhi Entry
Winter air-quality measures can change which vehicles may run and when. The Commission for Air Quality Management issued a revised GRAP schedule on 29 September 2026. It treats goods vehicles by category and sets conditions by stage, including conditions for entering Delhi.
That means there is no safe blanket answer such as ‘all trucks are allowed.’ Before you fix a winter date, ask for:
- The category of the vehicle that is planned.
- Its fuel and emission standard.
- Its registration.
- Whether your route enters Delhi.
- What the order in force says for your move date.
Check again close to the date, because stage conditions can change at short notice. Confirm the planned vehicle and any required change before dispatch. If a restriction affects the arrangement, agree a permitted alternative or a revised date.
Office and Small-Business Relocation in Gurgaon
For an office move in Cyber City, Udyog Vihar, Sector 44 or Manesar, separate the furniture and equipment list from the IT shutdown plan. Desks, chairs, cabinets, monitors and packed records can be assessed for physical relocation; your IT contact should own backups, disconnection, configuration and testing. Heavy industrial machinery needs a separate handling assessment.
An office move is a series of small decisions made in advance. Many commercial buildings set their own goods-lift rules and loading windows, so the first call is to the building office at both ends.
- Get the loading window and any permission requirements in writing from both buildings.
- Label every desk, cabinet and cable bundle, and keep a floor plan of the new layout.
- Back up data yourself and carry drives, laptops and anything confidential rather than sending them on the truck.
- Keep records in sealed, numbered boxes, in order.
- List monitors, printers, servers and network gear separately so their packing can be specified.
- Decide on weekend or after-hours timing, and book the lift slot to match.
- Agree who packs what: the mover or your staff.
Use the quote comparison method above, with desks, chairs, storage units and IT equipment as the lines. Tell us the billing name and GST details before the date, so the invoice matches your accounts.
Cover, Damage Reporting and Storage Holding
Do not assume any move is covered. Ask what cover applies, who provides it, the value it is based on and what it excludes, and have the answer in the written quote. If you want separate goods-in-transit cover, ask for its terms in writing and treat its cost as its own line. Cover is not the same as careful handling, and neither replaces a good inventory.
If something is damaged:
- Check each item against the inventory at unloading, before the crew leaves.
- Photograph the damage straight away and note it on the sheet you sign.
- Report it to the mover in writing with photographs, the item’s description and its value.
- Keep the packaging until the matter is settled.
Ask before booking how a claim is reported and by when.
Storage is handled as a request. Location, period, handling in and out, and the access check at redelivery are agreed in writing before goods are held. We do not publish a standing storage rate on this page, and availability is agreed for your move. If your new home is not ready, give us the expected dates and the redelivery address, so the plan covers two access checks rather than one.
Invoices, Documents and Employer Reimbursement
Employees and small businesses often need paperwork that matches a reimbursement rule or an accounts entry. Settle these before booking:
- Whether the invoice should be in your name or your employer’s, and which GST details it should carry.
- Whether your employer wants a lump sum or an itemised bill.
- Whether your policy asks for a transport document, a packing list or proof of payment.
Which transport documents apply depends on the goods and the move, so ask the operator to state what it will issue rather than assuming. We can tell you what ALPM will provide in writing. Whether a claim is accepted is decided by your employer or accountant, and we cannot promise it.
Why Choose ALPM for a Gurgaon Move — and What to Check
AGARWAL LOGISTICS PACKERS AND MOVERS trades as Agarwal (ALPM) Packers and Movers. It is a registered business with GST number 36FDRPM0957B1ZC and trademark 7901417, and its registered location is Old Bowenpally, Secunderabad, Telangana. When you enquire, you deal with that named business directly on +91 94671 86002. We plan from an itemised inventory and a stated scope, and we would rather raise an access problem now than on the day. The final vehicle, scope and availability for your move are agreed in writing.
Whoever you hire, run this checklist:
- Is the business named, with GST details and a contact you can call back?
- Has someone asked about both addresses, floors, lifts, gates and vehicle height, not just BHK?
- Is the inventory itemised or described room by room?
- Is the scope written down: packing, materials, dismantling, loading, transport, unloading, placement?
- Are taxes, cover, deposits and extra carry shown as separate lines?
- Are pickup and delivery windows written, with what happens if either slips?
- Do you know who will do the work on the day and in which vehicle?
- Do you know how a damage claim is reported and by when?
- For winter dates, has the vehicle category and route been checked?
