Packers and Movers Gurgaon to Bangalore: Route, Cost and Delivery Planning
Plan a Gurgaon to Bangalore move over roughly 2,100–2,240 km. Allow an estimated 5–7 days from pickup to unloading for a dedicated truck or 7–10 days for a shared load. A 2 BHK household planning budget is ₹36,500–50,500. Your inventory, packing scope and Bangalore delivery address determine the final quote—especially if you are moving into temporary accommodation or a furnished flat.

Gurgaon to Bangalore shifting charges by home size
These market-informed planning ranges cover a household move from Gurgaon to Bangalore with packing, loading, transport and unloading in the agreed core scope. The final quote depends on your actual inventory, transport mode and access at both addresses.
| Home size | Planning range |
|---|---|
| 1 BHK | ₹22,500 to ₹30,500 |
| 2 BHK | ₹36,500 to ₹50,500 |
| 3 BHK | ₹60,500 to ₹85,500 |
| 4 BHK, villa, few-item load or office | Assessed from the inventory |
What sits inside and outside these ranges
Packing, loading, transport and unloading are the agreed core. The quote should also say whether the transport is a shared load or a dedicated truck, because that choice alone can move the figure. Several items are not automatically included and should appear as their own lines if you need them: GST, any transit cover you choose, appliance work such as AC removal and refitting, building lift fees, extra carry from the vehicle to your door, and holding charges if goods must wait. Confirm whether tolls are included in transport or shown separately, and count them once in the payable total.
Why you will see lower starting prices elsewhere
Comparison sites often show a 1 BHK or bike ‘starting from’ figure well below the table above. A starting price alone does not show the inventory or every inclusion. Check the load size, shared or dedicated mode, packing and unloading scope, and applicable extras. Ask each provider to quote the same list and scope; a lower price does not by itself prove that work is excluded.
A worked example, with its limits
This shows how the pieces add up. It is an illustration, not a record of a real trip. Say a 2 BHK is quoted at ₹43,000 for the core move, and a pre-move access check identifies a need for a smaller feeder vehicle, separately agreed at ₹2,500.
| Line | Amount |
|---|---|
| 2 BHK core move (an illustrative figure inside the 2 BHK range) | ₹43,000 |
| Feeder vehicle or extra unloading, only when agreed as necessary | ₹2,500 |
| Subtotal before GST and any cover you select | ₹45,500 |
The feeder line is conditional. It applies only if that feeder arrangement is needed and accepted. Other access work should have its own agreed scope; GST and selected cover are added only where applicable and excluded from the core figure.
The route: 2,100 to 2,240 km and three ways to drive it
Gurgaon and Gurugram refer to the same origin, just as Bangalore and Bengaluru refer to the same destination here. Google Maps driving mode, checked on 18 October 2026 between the selected city points, showed these alternatives.
| Route | Distance | Map car time |
|---|---|---|
| NH52 | 2,106 km | About 37 hours |
| NH50 | 2,233 km | About 47 hours |
| NE4 | 2,103 km | About 37 hours |
Two things follow. NH52 and NE4 are within a few kilometres of each other, but similar distance does not mean identical road conditions or vehicle eligibility. Ask the operator to confirm the planned truck corridor and how a diversion would affect the schedule. NH50 adds about ten hours even for a car. Treat 2,100 to 2,240 km as a working range, since the real figure shifts with your Gurgaon pickup sector and your Bangalore address. A kilometre count by itself does not set the price. Inventory, scope and the shared or dedicated choice do.
Please do not read the map time as the move time. Thirty-seven hours is a car being driven. A packed household also needs loading, driver rest and an unloading slot at the other end, which the next section turns into days. The driver must use roads permitted for the booked vehicle, so confirm the truck plan separately from these car-driving estimates.
How long the move takes: three clocks, not one
Customers usually ask for a single number. It is more useful to track three dates.
- Pickup: the day packing or loading starts in Gurgaon. For larger homes, packing can happen a day earlier, so confirm which date your clock starts from.
- Dispatch: the day the vehicle actually leaves. Agree the dispatch window for the booked vehicle. A shared load can need consolidation before dispatch, so ask when the delivery estimate starts.
- Delivery: the day unloading is completed in Bangalore, inside an unloading window you have agreed with your building or landlord.
As planning estimates, a dedicated truck takes about 5 to 7 days from pickup to completed unloading, and a shared load about 7 to 10 days including consolidation. Use these as planning allowances and confirm the pickup, dispatch and delivery windows for your booking. Traffic, consolidation and receiving access can change the final schedule.
A few things stretch a timeline without anyone doing anything wrong: keys that are not ready, an unloading window the building has not confirmed, or a feeder arrangement decided at the gate instead of beforehand. Settle those points before dispatch to reduce avoidable waiting and extra handling.
Shared load or dedicated truck
A shared load combines your goods with other consignments heading towards Bangalore. A dedicated truck reserves the vehicle for your household goods. The right one depends on how much you are moving and how firm your dates are.
| Factor | Shared load | Dedicated truck |
|---|---|---|
| Who is on the vehicle | Several customers | Only your goods |
| Dispatch date | Depends on consolidation | Agreed with loading, subject to availability |
| Delivery window | Wider | Narrower |
| Usually suits | A bed, a few boxes, a bike, flexible dates | Fuller inventories or tighter agreed schedules |
| Watch for | Longer timeline, less control over the exact day | Higher cost for a small load |
A professional with a mattress, a few cartons and a desk may find better value in a shared load. A family with a full 3 BHK and a lease starting on a fixed date may prefer a dedicated truck, though even then you get an agreed window rather than a guarantee.
Temporary stay or final flat: decide before dispatch
If you are starting a job in Bangalore before your permanent flat is ready, decide where your belongings will wait. A serviced apartment or short stay may suit you without being able to receive a full household. Compare these arrangements before booking, subject to service and storage availability.
- Final flat ready, keys in hand at delivery: one unloading at the final address. This avoids an additional temporary-home move.
- Temporary place first: goods are unloaded once into a short-stay home, then moved again later. That is two handlings, so obtain written permission and check space at the temporary property first.
- Hold the goods and deliver later: the goods wait until the final flat is ready. Where they wait and what each extra day costs must be agreed, not assumed.
- Split delivery: essentials go to the temporary place and the rest goes to the final flat on its keys date. This needs the inventory divided before packing, with cartons labelled by destination.
The decision record
Write down five things and share them when you ask for the quote.
- The delivery address, and whether it is temporary or final.
- The date the keys are ready and who will hold them.
- The unloading window you have agreed with the building.
- How many unloadings the plan involves.
- If goods may have to be held: how many days, the rate for each extra day, and what starts and stops the count.
If you do not yet know the final flat, say so. A conditional plan priced up front is better than two unloadings and a holding bill discovered on arrival.
Moving into a furnished Bangalore rental: the room-fit list
If your Bangalore rental is furnished or semi-furnished, check exactly which items are included. If you quote volume from everything in your Gurgaon flat, you may pay to carry a bed, wardrobe or fridge that the new flat already has, or that will not fit. Build a room-fit list before the volume is fixed, using the landlord’s or broker’s inventory list, the room dimensions and the keys-ready date.
| Item | Confirm in the Bangalore flat | What it changes |
|---|---|---|
| Beds and mattresses | Is one already provided? Does yours fit the bedroom? | Whether it travels at all, and dismantling time |
| Wardrobes | Built-in, loose or none? Ceiling height against yours | Dismantling and reassembly, or leaving it behind |
| Refrigerator and washing machine | Provided? Space and plumbing point available? | Two of the bulkiest items, so the load can shrink noticeably |
| AC units | Already fitted? Which wall points? | Removal and refitting, priced as separate work |
| Sofa, dining table, bulky furniture | Lift inner size, door width, any tight stair turn | Whether it goes in the lift or is carried |
| Keys and entry date | When can the flat be entered, and can furniture be placed before the lease starts? | The unloading window |
Then sort every large item into one of four groups: take, sell or donate in Gurgaon, store, or leave behind. Send that final list, not the old one. Measure the widest piece you own, the main door and the lift’s inner width and depth. A sofa that clears the flat door but not the lift corner is an easy surprise to avoid.
Receiving in Bangalore: Electronic City, Whitefield and other areas
Electronic City shows clearly why a locality name is not an address. Addresses there carry layers: a phase, a side label such as East or West, an avenue or road, and a plot or building number. A notice from the township’s own authority, for example, writes its address with a plot number, an avenue and a West phase label. Local area descriptions also treat Phase 1 and Phase 2 differently in relation to Hosur Road, so two flats both called Electronic City can have quite different approaches.
For a move, give the phase, side, avenue and building, and ask your community or building which gate is open to a moving vehicle. We do not assume township-wide rules for trucks. The building’s own confirmation is what counts. If the main vehicle cannot use the confirmed gate or lane, decide before dispatch whether a smaller feeder vehicle will cover the last leg. If it will, it appears once in the quote as a single extra-handling line, as in the worked example above, rather than being negotiated at the gate.
| Area | Detail to confirm | Decision it changes |
|---|---|---|
| Whitefield, Kadugodi, ITPL side | Community or building name, tower or block, and the entrance assigned for goods vehicles | Whether the main vehicle reaches the tower or goods are carried |
| Electronic City East and West phases | Phase, side, avenue, plot or building, and the confirmed gate | Main vehicle or feeder, counted once |
| Sarjapur Road and Bellandur | Community name and its goods gate, along with the full road address and PIN | Gate used and carry distance |
| HSR Layout and Koramangala | Sector or block, cross road, lane approach, lift availability | Vehicle size and carry |
| Hebbal and Yelahanka | Apartment or independent house, lane access, who will receive | Unloading plan and carry |
One more term worth settling: carry is the distance goods are moved by hand or trolley between the vehicle and your door. Ask whether it is inside the quote for your tower, and if a carry limit triggers a charge, get that figure in writing.
Packing and loading before the truck leaves Gurgaon
Check the lower edges before the sofa leaves the room
The sofa in this photograph is being covered while it is still indoors. That is the right moment to discuss its exposed corners, lower edges and the parts that will be held during the carry.
For Gurgaon to Bangalore shifting, tell the team about delicate upholstery or existing marks before they are covered. Check that the fabric is dry, and ask which surfaces need cushioning as well as an outer layer. Measure the sofa and the narrowest doors or turns at both homes.
Agree whether any legs or sections can be removed and who will reassemble them. Keep the protection in place until the final carry into the Bengaluru room is finished.
Long-distance packing is built for days of vibration and handling, not a ride across town. A typical sequence looks like this.
- Inventory walk-through: every large item listed with approximate size, with fragile and high-value pieces flagged. Photos help.
- Materials matched to items: corrugated cartons for books and kitchenware, bubble wrap and foam for glass, screens and decor, stretch film and padding for furniture, covers for mattresses.
- Dismantling: beds, wardrobes and tables taken apart, with screws and fittings bagged and attached to the piece they belong to.
- Labelling: by room, and by destination if you are splitting delivery.
- Loading: heavy items low, furniture secured, condition notes recorded against the inventory.
- Unloading: goods placed in the agreed rooms. Unpacking and reassembly happen only if they are in the agreed scope.
Keep documents, jewellery, cash, medicines and the laptop you need out of cartons, and ask the crew which items they will not carry, such as flammables and perishables. Follow the appliance manufacturer’s instructions for defrosting, draining, transport bolts and restart time. Agree any technician work separately. Your Gurgaon society may have its own move-out paperwork, so ask its office in writing instead of assuming.
Car transport and bike transport, Gurgaon to Bangalore
Use these conditional category guides to budget for vehicle transport. They are market-informed planning figures for this route, not fixed rates, and a confirmed price needs the exact model, running condition, carrier mode and the collection and handover points.
| Vehicle | Planning guide |
|---|---|
| Hatchback | ₹18,500 to ₹30,500 |
| Sedan | ₹22,500 to ₹36,500 |
| Standard SUV | ₹30,500 to ₹48,500 |
| Commuter bike or scooter | ₹7,000 to ₹14,000 |
| Heavy bike | Assessed individually |
| Premium, enclosed, EV, luxury or non-running vehicle | Assessed individually |
What moves the figure
- The model and size of the vehicle, which decide how much carrier space it takes.
- Whether it runs, since a non-running vehicle needs different loading.
- The carrier mode. These guides assume a standard arrangement; an enclosed carrier is not included unless it is agreed and priced.
- The collection and handover points, and whether doorstep collection or delivery is within the carrier's scope or needs a meeting point.
- The date, and whether the carrier accepts the vehicle for it.
Taxes, any cover you select, a crate for a bike if one is needed, and collection or delivery outside the quoted carrier scope should each appear once as their own line, not be assumed inside the guide.
Keep a separate vehicle calendar
Plan the car or bike on its own dates. It may not be collected on the same day as your household goods, or travel on the same vehicle. Collection in Gurgaon and handover in Bangalore each need a window, someone who can sign, and the keys. Decide how you will get around in the gap, because for a few days you may have no car at either end. At collection, take dated photos of every side, note the odometer, remove personal items and record accessories on a signed handover sheet.
Road tax and registration are separate from carriage
The papers a carrier needs to move the vehicle are one matter. Typically that means a copy of the registration certificate, insurance details and your ID, but confirm exactly what your arrangement requires. Road tax, a no-objection certificate and re-registration in Karnataka are a different matter handled by the RTO. How long an out-of-state vehicle can run before tax and re-registration, and whether any tax is refunded, depends on current rules and your case. We do not quote a tax-free period or promise a refund or registration outcome. If you are relocating for the long term, ask the RTO what NOC, reassignment and tax steps apply now, and treat the carrier’s document requirements as a separate question.
Office relocation and storage on request
Office relocation from Gurgaon to Bangalore covers physical assets such as workstations, chairs, cabinets, IT equipment and records you are moving rather than replacing. The most useful first step is an asset register listing item, quantity, tag and destination floor. Without one, a quote has to guess and unloading turns into a search. Assess the packed volume and delivery deadline before choosing shared or dedicated transport. For a larger office, agree whether departments need phased delivery. Confirm loading windows, lift access and any building deposits at both ends. Back up IT equipment, authorise the release of company assets and assign a receiver who can match tags and quantities at delivery.
Storage is a request, not an assumption
If your Bangalore flat is not ready or you want some items held back, ask about storage. Whether it is available for your dates, where, for how long and at what charge is agreed for that particular move. It sits alongside the options in the temporary-stay decision above.
Paperwork, e-way bills and damage claims
E-way bill
Used household effects that qualify fall under an exemption in the official list, which is distinct from transporting new purchases or business goods. New purchases, business stock and company assets are different, so classification should be checked rather than inferred from the wrapping or value alone. Have your transporter and accountant confirm those items before loading.
Transit cover and claims
The carrier’s liability and transit insurance are different things, and neither is automatic. If you choose cover, ask for the terms in writing before loading: the declared value, the exclusions, what proof is needed after damage and how soon it must be reported. Some policies expect specific evidence such as photographs or video at unpacking. There is no single universal deadline or format, so read your actual policy rather than relying on a number you saw online. On your side, ask for condition notes on the inventory, take dated photos of high-value items before packing, and keep original boxes for televisions and screens.
Choosing a mover and what to expect from ALPM
When you compare quotes, compare what each one commits to doing: shared or dedicated, whether unloading and carry are included, which items appear as separate lines, and whether the inventory behind the price is a written list or just ‘a 2 BHK’. A clear scope lets you compare the payable totals and spot missing work.
