Why the range is wide
Where a quote falls inside a range depends on four things: the volume and weight of the goods, whether the vehicle is shared or dedicated, where exactly in the Mumbai region the pickup is and which Agra address is the delivery point, and the work at each end such as floors, stair carry and parking. A heavily furnished 1BHK can cost more than a lean 2BHK, so send an inventory instead of choosing by BHK alone.

Share the particular loading address whether it is in Andheri, Goregaon, Malad, Kandivali, Borivali, Bandra, Powai, Chembur, Ghatkopar, Mulund or Dadar. A locality name helps locate the enquiry; the building, floor and goods entrance set the actual packing and carrying work.
For Thane, Kalyan, Dombivli, Mira Road or Bhayandar, give the full address and PIN before comparing the route estimate. For Navi Mumbai, include the node, sector and building for Vashi, Nerul, Belapur, Kharghar, Airoli, Ghansoli or Panvel. Do not assume every Mumbai-region pickup has the same approach distance or price.
Permissions before the long-haul dispatch

Road sources give different distances, from about 1,200 km to about 1,400 km. The difference comes from the starting point in the Mumbai region, the route chosen and the Agra address, so plan on roughly 1,200 to 1,400 km and treat any single figure as approximate.

The traditional road corridor runs from Mumbai or Thane through Nashik, Dhule, Indore, Gwalior and Dholpur to Agra. Buffers worth keeping
Heavy rain in Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh, winter fog in the north and summer heat can all slow a long haul, as can roadworks. Date-specific restrictions on heavy vehicles can apply on some days or in some places and can change, so ask how the mover will handle them for your dates instead of assuming a fixed rule. At the Agra end, keep a day of flexibility if the keys, society permission or the receiver are not yet certain.
The Mumbai pickup slot

Area by area: what to confirm
These are planning checks, not a statement about every lane in the city. Access can differ between two addresses in the same locality.
- Sikandra and Dayalbagh: confirm the colony gate you will use and whether the internal roads allow a larger vehicle to turn.
- Kamla Nagar and Lohamandi: confirm the actual approach to your building, since main roads and internal lanes in the same locality can differ a lot.
- Fatehabad Road and Tajganj: say exactly which lane or approach road the building is on, and share a photo.
- Agra Cantt: identify the residential gate or building. Do not use the railway station or a landmark as the delivery point.
Addresses close to the Taj Mahal
Official visitor guidance restricts polluting vehicles, including petrol and diesel vehicles, within about 500 metres of the Taj Mahal. The restriction applies in the monument's vicinity, not across all of Tajganj or all of Agra. Still, an address near the Taj needs an exact pin and an approach check, and the handover may have to happen at a point outside the restricted area, with a vehicle or hand carry that is permitted there. A small vehicle is not an automatic answer, so confirm what is allowed for your exact address before you book.
More Agra addresses to identify precisely
For Shastripuram, Awas Vikas Colony, Khandari, Balkeshwar, Bodla, Sanjay Place, Civil Lines or Shahganj, send the block, building, floor, PIN and goods entrance. An office address in Sanjay Place and a family home elsewhere are separate receiving points unless the booking says otherwise.
For Kalindi Vihar, Trans Yamuna Colony, Rambagh or an Etmadpur-side address, share the actual approach and nearest useful landmark. Let the operator assess the connection for the allocated vehicle rather than assuming a particular bridge is suitable. At a controlled residential compound, ask that property office about its entry requirements and name the person who can receive.
If the destination is Mathura, Firozabad, Fatehpur Sikri or Shikohabad, state the actual town before the quote. Availability, route distance, handling and delivery price need assessment for that place. An Agra city quote does not automatically include another town or a second drop.
Second-vehicle custody and count sheet for the last stretch
Sometimes the vehicle that makes the long haul cannot reach the building. The goods are then moved to a smaller vehicle or carried by hand for the last stretch. Each extra handover is another point where a carton count can go wrong, so it is worth deciding in advance whether a transfer is needed and how it will be recorded.
When a transfer is needed, and when direct unloading is better
A transfer is likely when the exact pin and approach photo show that the larger vehicle cannot stand near the entrance, for example in a narrow lane, near a restricted area, or where stopping is not permitted. Direct unloading is better whenever the vehicle can stand near the entrance with a clear path, because it avoids a second round of lifting and a second count. Decide this before booking, using the pin and photos, not at the roadside on delivery day.

Where you can, be at the transfer point or name a person who can be. Send the inventory and carton ID photos to that person before the day. Count before the main vehicle leaves and again after the last carton is delivered, and note any difference on the receipt before you sign it.

Both totals fall inside the 2BHK guide range above. The first looks cheaper, but it leaves two items unsettled until delivery day, when the goods are already in Agra and the options are few. The second shows the full cost and the plan up front. If the pin check had shown that the main vehicle could unload directly near the entrance, the second-vehicle line would disappear, which is why the check comes before the quote. Whether a particular vehicle is allowed close to the Taj Mahal depends on the restriction and the exact address, as described above.

Carrier handover is not the same as a home drop
A carrier may load at an agreed point instead of at your gate, and it may deliver to a main road or an agreed point in Agra instead of to your door, particularly where the approach is narrow. Ask where the vehicle will be handed over in the Mumbai region, where it will be delivered in Agra, and whether door delivery is possible at your address.
