Car and Bike Transport from Chennai to Indore
A car or bike travels on a carrier whose model and schedule are separate from your household truck. Do not assume the vehicle reaches Indore on the same day as your furniture.

Update contact and revised window
Agree up front who will be called when the vehicle is dispatched, and who will get a revised arrival window if the plan changes. Confirm the update method and contact window with the coordinator, including a call to the receiver before arrival.

Follow the maker's manual for steps such as defrosting and drying a refrigerator or securing the drum of a washing machine for transit. There is no universal day-before rule. Removing and refitting an AC and any electrical work belong to a qualified technician and are quoted separately.

A few items
Send the count, dimensions, weight and volume of each piece, plus access details at both ends. Ask what the charging basis is and whether a minimum applies. Photographs with measurements of large pieces help the estimate match what you are actually sending.
Physical office goods
- Count desks, chairs, cabinets, files and boxed computers by item.
- Label by department or asset so each lot can be released to a named receiver.
- Your own qualified IT person should back up data and disconnect networks. Do not expect zero downtime.
- Stock and machinery are not included automatically and are assessed separately.
Office quotes are based on the physical inventory and not on a BHK size.

Chennai areas and loading access
For OMR, Sholinganallur, Perungudi, Velachery or Tambaram, include your tower, floor and goods gate with the room-wise inventory video. For Porur, Poonamallee, Anna Nagar, Ambattur or Avadi, show the same carrying route and stopping point. The Chennai city leg is planned from your actual pickup, rather than from a branch-to-city distance.
Check what your new home already provides before the survey. If the Indore property is furnished, ask for estimates with and without furniture you might leave behind. Reducing an unnecessary large item changes packed volume; cutting cushioning for a screen is a different choice and can leave the item poorly protected.

IIM Indore and IIT Indore need different destination details
IIM Indore is on Rau–Pithampur Road, while IIT Indore is at Simrol on Khandwa Road. If your move is connected with either institute, confirm the actual residence, staff quarter or room and its goods entrance. A campus name or an office contact is not enough to schedule household unloading. Check room allotment, possession and receiving permission before dispatch.
Receiving at the Indore End
Before a vehicle is allocated, give the actual gate, building, floor, lift cabin capacity, any permission needed, the carry distance, the unloading slot and a named receiver. A city or landmark pin is not enough for a loaded vehicle. Check the society's move-in slots and lift booking rules.
Dewas and Pithampur
These are separate destinations and not automatically the Indore city rate. Tell us at the start and confirm the door pin and cost scope separately.
If the receiver or home is not ready
A backup receiver helps only if the gate, lift, crew and rooms are also available. Otherwise agree a new slot, or an assessed holding arrangement. A holding arrangement needs the operator and location, availability, custody, package IDs and condition, access, duration, rate, exit and redelivery written down. Waiting and storage are not automatically free.

Check a carton's contents before sending it out as packaging. A matching outer ID and sound-looking carton do not establish that the contents have been checked or removed. Cartons and crates go back only when that was agreed and inspection permits. Confirm the collection provider and any charge before arranging material removal.

Retain the approved estimate, signed inventory, consignment reference, full addresses and requested booking ID copies. For an employee move, settle the invoice name, company GST details and reimbursement papers before billing. Have the accounts team confirm applicable movement documents for business assets or stock; those goods need their own declared list.
For a vehicle, prepare the RC, insurance, applicable PUC and owner details requested by the carrier, keeping originals with you. If the vehicle will stay in Madhya Pradesh long term, check registration reassignment, NOC and tax requirements with the transport authorities. A carrier delivery does not update the registration.
