Society Timings, Silk Board Traffic and How Long a Move Takes
Apartment associations may limit shifting to daytime slots and restrict Sundays or holidays. Every society has its own rule, so please check with your facility manager a few days before and get the move-out form signed. We'll plan the packing so that loading falls inside the allowed slot.
For an independent house or builder floor, check the owner’s access arrangements and local stopping rules. An early permitted start may help with Silk Board and Agara traffic, but the destination slot still matters.
How long it takes, roughly:
- PG / 1 RK within HSR or to Koramangala, BTM, Bellandur: allow roughly half a day for a straightforward small load.
- 1 BHK or 2 BHK locally: often planned within a day when packing, access and traffic allow.
- 3 BHK and above, or a far area like Hebbal or Yelahanka: it can stretch to late evening. Consider a staged packing and delivery plan where the permitted hours are too short.
Packing and Carrying Tall Furniture, TVs and Fragile Goods
Use suitable surface cushioning, impact protection and corner guards according to the item. Strong cartons and dividers help keep kitchen glassware separate from heavy objects. Large screens, stone tops or delicate artwork may need an assessed crate; one blanket packing specification does not suit every object.
Allow for the extra width of packing when measuring furniture. Label shelves and fittings with the main piece, protect polished surfaces from direct tape and keep a condition photo. Check the receiving path too, so a safely loaded piece can reach its destination room.
For workstations, back up files, label cables and use appropriate screen support. Defrost the fridge and drain the washing machine before loading; follow manufacturer guidance for transport fittings.

Moving Out of HSR Layout? A Simple Checklist
These are the things people in HSR usually remember only on the last day:
- Tell your owner in writing as per the notice period in your rental agreement, and ask in advance what will be deducted from the deposit – painting and cleaning charges are common in Bangalore.
- Clear maintenance dues and get the move-out / no-dues slip from the society office. Check whether clearance is required for your building’s gate pass.
- Pay the final BESCOM and water bill, and take photos of the meter readings on the last day.
- Gas cylinder – we don't carry filled cylinders. Get it disconnected and transferred through your gas agency, and follow the agency’s collection or transfer arrangements.
- Internet and DTH – book the shifting request a week before; installation slots in new buildings get delayed.
- Defrost the fridge and drain the washing machine the night before.
- Keep one bag aside with chargers, medicines, documents, keys and a change of clothes. That bag travels with you, not in the truck.
- Update your address for Aadhaar, bank and office records once you've settled.

If Something Gets Damaged
We pack carefully, but on a long move a scratch or a broken glass can still happen. If it does, here is what you should do:
- Check the items while unloading and note anything damaged on the delivery copy before signing.
- Take clear photos of the item and the carton it came in.
- Report it promptly through the booking contact and within the issued policy’s reporting deadlines.
If you've taken transit insurance, the claim is made with the insurance company as per the policy terms, and we help you with the paperwork. Insurance is optional and the premium depends on the declared value of your goods.
Things We Don't Load in the Truck
For safety reasons, we don't carry filled gas cylinders, petrol or diesel cans, firecrackers, paint thinners, acids or other flammable liquids. Cash, gold jewellery and important documents should stay with you, not in the cartons.
