Packers and Movers Pune to Bhopal: Charges, Timeline and Receiving Plan
Pune to Bhopal is about 820 km by road. As a planning guide, a 2 BHK move costs ₹14,500–19,500 on a shared load and ₹21,500–26,000 on a dedicated truck, with roughly 3–5 days shared or 2–3 days dedicated after actual dispatch. Your final quote depends on your inventory and access at both ends.

How far is Pune to Bhopal, and which route does the truck take?
Allow about 820 km as a road planning figure. The exact distance depends on the selected truck corridor and both addresses. A pickup in Hinjewadi and a delivery in Misrod will not cover the same distance as Nigdi to MP Nagar, so treat the number as a planning guide and not a measured trip.
The route is confirmed, not assumed
There is no single fixed itinerary to promise. One possible western highway corridor runs through the Nashik and Dhule side, then Indore, before the approach to Bhopal. The truck’s actual route, the dispatch date and the delivery addresses are confirmed with you by the operator before loading, and the route is rechecked close to the day. You should not expect a set list of city halts, and any highway toll is included in the transport line or listed once separately in your written quote.
What is settled before dispatch
- The exact pickup address in Pune or Pimpri-Chinchwad, including floor, lift and where the truck can stand.
- The exact delivery address in Bhopal, including the building, gate and lift details.
- The dispatch day and the receiving window you want in Bhopal.
- Who will be present at each end to hand over and receive.
How long does Pune to Bhopal shifting take?
Use these windows when planning your move. They are counted from the day the truck actually leaves Pune, not from the day you book or the day packing starts.
| Mode | Planning estimate | What can change it |
|---|---|---|
| Shared load | 3–5 days | The route on the day, other delivery stops and agreed receiving access |
| Dedicated truck | About 2–3 days | The route on the day, driving breaks and the receiving window you agreed |
Packing and consolidation before dispatch are separate from these figures and can add time. A large 3 BHK or 4 BHK home may need more than one packing day. A shared load waits until the consolidated load is ready to go. If your Bhopal date is firm, say so when you enquire, so the dispatch day is planned backwards from your receiving window and not forwards from loading day.
A faster estimate does not guarantee the goods reach your door on a particular morning. Roads, weather and delivery access can all move the arrival, which is why the receiving window is agreed in writing and the route is rechecked close to dispatch.
Shared load, dedicated truck or a few items: which fits?
The right mode depends on how much you are moving and how much your Bhopal date matters. The carrier type and timing for your move are stated in the written scope.
Shared load
Your goods travel with other consignments in one truck. A shared load suits households that can accept a wider arrival range of 3–5 days after dispatch and have a flexible receiving date. It is generally the lower-cost option for a 1 BHK or 2 BHK. It asks more of you in planning, because dispatch depends on the combined load and other consignments may have delivery stops before yours.
Dedicated truck
The truck carries only your goods, so loading, dispatch and the receiving window are planned around you. This suits larger homes, a tight Bhopal date, awkward furniture, or a move where you need the unloading time to be agreed in advance.
A few items
If you are moving a bed, a few appliances and some cartons, a full BHK price is the wrong comparison. There is no fixed band on this page for few-item moves. They are quoted from a list with photos and measurements, and the same questions on access and receiving apply.
A quick way to decide
- A fixed Bhopal date or a lift booking: look at a dedicated truck.
- A flexible date and a smaller home: a shared load may be enough.
- Only a handful of items: send the list for a few-item quote.
Pune to Bhopal house shifting charges
These are guide ranges for a household move from Pune to Bhopal. The final figure depends on your actual inventory and access, not on the BHK label alone.
| Home size | Shared load | Dedicated truck |
|---|---|---|
| 1 BHK | ₹10,500–15,000 | ₹16,500–20,500 |
| 2 BHK | ₹14,500–19,500 | ₹21,500–26,000 |
| 3 BHK | ₹20,000–26,500 | ₹29,500–35,000 |
| 4 BHK | ₹26,000–33,000 | ₹38,000–47,000+ |
What the figures cover
Each range assumes the packing, packing material, labour, loading, road transport and unloading that are agreed in your written scope. Furniture work such as dismantling and reassembly is included only where the scope lists it. Not every job is automatically part of a price.
What is separate
GST is shown separately. Optional transit cover is also separate and depends on the provider’s terms. Extra items such as floor or lift work, long carries and holding are assessed from your inventory and addresses. Have each applicable extra shown once with its amount, alongside the final payable total, before booking.
A starting price from another site may exclude packing, unloading or furniture work, so compare the scope line by line and not the headline number.
What moves your quote up or down
Two homes of the same size can end up at different ends of a range. These are the things that usually decide it.
- Volume and weight: books, tools, kitchenware and a full store room add more than the BHK label suggests.
- Access at Pune: floor, lift or stairs, how far the truck stands from the door, and whether the gate allows a large truck.
- Access at Bhopal: the same questions at the delivery building. Many societies have their own lift booking and goods-entry rules.
- Furniture work: wardrobes, beds and modular units that need dismantling and reassembly are assessed item by item.
- Appliances: items that need a technician for removal or reinstallation are separate from the move itself.
- Packing level: boxing everything is different from packing only fragile items.
- Dates: a fixed receiving window or a peak-season date changes the planning.
- Holding: if the flat is not ready, any holding is assessed separately and is not assumed.
Sending room-by-room photos and the floor and lift details for both addresses is the quickest way to move from a range to a written figure.
How a Pune to Bhopal booking works
The aim is a written scope that matches your inventory and your access at both ends. The steps are in this order.
- Send your inventory by phone or the quote form on this page: room-by-room items, photos of large furniture, the floor, lift and truck parking at both addresses, and the name and number of whoever will receive in Bhopal.
- Review the written scope. It should state what is packed, which materials are used, which furniture is dismantled, the mode, and what is separate.
- Confirm the expected dispatch window, flat keys, named receiver and a slot long enough to unload and place every package. Read the advance, cancellation and rescheduling terms before paying.
- On packing and loading day, check the package count against the inventory and note any item that was already damaged.
- For the road leg, confirm the truck route and date with the operator, and recheck close to dispatch.
- At Bhopal, unload and place goods in the agreed slot, count packages and record condition as they are received. Unpack and assemble after unloading and placement, within the agreed work scope.
Papers to keep ready
- The inventory list and the written scope.
- Your ID and the receiver’s name and mobile number.
- Any society permission or lift-booking confirmation at either end.
- For a vehicle: its registration papers, insurance and the owner’s ID.
Ask the operator which goods-movement paperwork applies to your particular consignment. It is confirmed for your move and is not a blanket rule printed here.
Furniture and appliances: what to check before loading
Furniture that fits through the door in Pune may not fit through the one in Bhopal, so the check is done at both ends before the truck is loaded.
Measure before you decide
- Packed width, height and depth of wardrobes, beds, sofas, dining tables and large appliances.
- The usable width of doors in the new flat, not just the main door.
- The usable lift door opening, cabin size and load limit, and any stair turns if there is no lift.
- Whether a piece must be dismantled to get out of Pune and to get into Bhopal.
The crew assesses feasibility before loading. If a piece cannot pass, agree assessed dismantling or another safe, permitted handling method before accepting it. Dismantling is quoted item by item, and fittings are kept in labelled bags with the piece they belong to.
Appliances
- Follow each appliance’s manual for transit preparation and for how long to wait before restarting. This matters most for refrigerators and air conditioners.
- If a washing machine uses transit bolts, fit them before the move and remove them before first use.
- Use a qualified technician for AC gas work, electrical connections, plumbing and IT or network setup. The packers do not replace them.

Receiving in Bhopal: stations, addresses and gates
Two things are easy to mix up on arrival: which station the family reaches, and which gate the truck needs. They are separate, and neither station is the destination for the goods.
Two Bhopal stations
| Station | Also known as | Remember |
|---|---|---|
| Bhopal Junction (BPL) | Bhopal Junction, near Hamidia Road | A separate station from Rani Kamalapati |
| Rani Kamalapati | Formerly Habibganj | The older name may still be used in directions; check your current ticket |
A family’s train arrival is not a truck appointment. The truck needs a building gate, a contact person and a time, and the station does not give any of those.
Address details that help the delivery
| Area | Details to share | Confirm at the receiving end |
|---|---|---|
| MP Nagar | Zone number, building name and the service or goods gate | Whether the lift can be reserved and the goods-entry timing |
| Arera Colony | The E-sector, block or house number and the nearest landmark | Where the truck can stand and how far it is to the door |
| Kolar Road | The actual society name and the turn from the main road | The society’s goods-entry rules and the correct gate |
| Misrod and Katara Hills | The exact project or society gate, not just the area name | The gate for goods and the receiver’s number at that gate |
| Airport and Bairagarh side | State clearly that the delivery is on this side of the city | Confirm the gate pin and approach separately from a Misrod or Katara Hills delivery |
| Govindpura (office) | The unit, the gate and the person authorised to receive physical assets | Who signs for receipt and the goods-entry hours |
Society and building rules on goods entry, lift use and timing vary, so ask the society office instead of assuming a citywide rule. Give the receiver’s mobile number so the driver can reach someone at the gate.
Government quarters, the BHEL township and the old city
For a move into an allotted quarter, the BHEL township or an old-city home, add the following details to the receiving address:
- Allotted government quarters (for example in the TT Nagar, Char Imli or Shivaji Nagar side): the allotment letter is not the same as possession. Confirm that the keys have actually been handed over, the quarter type and block number, and whether the colony gate needs any intimation before a truck comes in. If possession is still pending, use the arrival-before-keys planning example rather than booking the truck on the joining date.
- BHEL township (Piplani and the township sectors near Govindpura): give the sector, quarter or house number and the road name, not only "BHEL". The residential delivery gate may differ from the office or factory gate, so say clearly which one the goods are going to.
- Old Bhopal (around Chowk, Peer Gate, Ibrahimpura and nearby): the actual lane and entrance determine whether the booked truck can reach the door. Share photos of the lane and the nearest point where a vehicle can stand, so a long carry can be assessed and priced before dispatch. A smaller-vehicle transfer is a separate option only if assessed as lawful and feasible; name the operator, transfer point, crew, local legs, physical package IDs and counts, condition, custody and cost once in the quote.
A planning example: the family arrives before the flat keys
This illustrative plan shows why the family’s arrival and the truck’s receiving appointment need separate decisions.
A family of four is moving a 2 BHK from Pune to a flat near Arera Colony on a dedicated truck. Their train reaches Rani Kamalapati early on Day 4, but the flat keys, the lift booking and a receiver at the building are only available on Day 5.
| Day | Pune | Bhopal |
|---|---|---|
| Day 1 | Packing at the flat; packages counted against the inventory | Nothing yet |
| Day 2 | Loading and dispatch in the evening, which is the actual dispatch day | Nothing yet |
| Day 3 | Truck on the road; the family boards the train | Nothing yet |
| Day 4 | Complete | Family reaches Rani Kamalapati; keys are not yet available; a dedicated truck could already be due on the 2–3 day estimate |
| Day 5 | Complete | Keys expected at 11 am; confirm a long enough afternoon unloading-and-placement slot |
The decision to make before loading
The 2–3 day estimate means the truck could be ready to unload on Day 4 or 5, but the building is ready only on Day 5. There are two sensible choices, and they should be made before loading, not at the gate.
- Ask whether later dispatch can fit a receiving window starting on Day 5. Allow for a later arrival too, and plan temporary essentials or accommodation for that possibility.
- Keep the Day 2 dispatch and agree a receiving window for the afternoon of Day 5, with a confirmed holding arrangement for goods that arrive early (see the holding section).
What the family carries and what is labelled
- Carried personally: medicines, documents, laptops and chargers, and valuables. These do not go in the truck.
- Four bags with a couple of days of clothes for the four of them.
- Three labelled first-night cartons marked ‘First night: open first’: bedding, a few utensils, toiletries and the children’s essentials. The crew is asked to place them so they come off first, if the loading plan allows.
Budget separately for temporary accommodation if needed. Keep first-night cartons in the package count; personally carried bags stay off the truck inventory.
If the flat is not ready: holding goods in transit
If your Bhopal home is not ready when the goods arrive, holding may be an option. It is arranged only when it is confirmed for your consignment. It is not assumed, and it is not automatically free or at a warehouse owned by the mover.
Ask for these in writing before dispatch
- Where the goods will be held, and which operator is responsible for the place.
- Who has custody of the goods and who can release them.
- The package IDs and the physical count at the time goods go in, and their condition.
- Who can access the goods and under what conditions.
- The agreed duration and rate, including any further handling and redelivery charge.
- How the goods leave: the exit process and the redelivery to your flat.
Decide this before loading and not on the day of arrival. If key handover changes after dispatch, contact the operator before arrival so custody, count and condition can still be recorded at any agreed holding point. No fixed holding rate is stated on this page. It is quoted after assessment for your move.
Car and bike transport from Pune to Bhopal
Car and bike transport uses an accepted carrier arrangement rather than assuming the vehicle is driven between the cities. Confirm any local collection or handover movement separately. A vehicle may travel on a different carrier and date from your household load, so the calendar for it is confirmed separately.
| Vehicle | Guide price |
|---|---|
| 100–150cc bike or scooty | ₹3,000–5,000 |
| 350cc+ cruiser | ₹5,000–7,500 |
| Hatchback | ₹8,500–11,500 |
| Sedan or SUV | ₹12,000–17,500 |
A bike above 150cc and below 350cc, an electric vehicle, or a vehicle that does not run is quoted from an exact model assessment. Share the exact model and condition for those cases.
Before the carrier arrives
- Share the make, model, variant and whether it starts and rolls.
- Follow the carrier’s preparation instructions for your vehicle, including fuel level, battery and keys.
- Remove personal items and loose fittings.
- Take dated photos of the vehicle’s condition, and note existing marks, odometer reading, keys and supplied accessories on the handover sheet.
- Keep the registration papers and insurance ready.
Acceptance of a particular model, an EV or a non-running vehicle is confirmed before booking, not at pickup.
Office relocation from Pune to Bhopal
An office move here means moving physical assets: desks, chairs, cabinets, files and IT equipment. Plan data backup, disconnection and setup separately with your IT team.
What an office move needs
- An asset list with a physical ID or tag for each item, and the physical package and accessory counts: cables, chargers, keyboards and mice.
- A condition note for each item at handover.
- A named person at the Pune office who authorises release of the assets.
- A named receiver at the Bhopal office, such as the receiving authority at a Govindpura unit, with a backup receiver, the gate and goods-entry details.
- A qualified IT technician to disconnect, reconnect and test servers, networks and workstations.
Plan the Bhopal setup as its own task. Furniture can be placed against a floor plan, but connections, testing and any downtime are planned with your IT provider. Timing and mode follow the same logic as a home move, and the dispatch day and receiving window are fixed before the truck is loaded.
Packing, labelling and what stays with you
Packing is matched to the item. Fragile glass, crockery and showpieces need different material from clothes and linen, and the written scope states what is used. Assess cushioning and edge protection for glass, screens and furniture; use a suitable rigid box or crate where needed. Label every carton with the room and a short content note, such as ‘Kitchen: fragile’. That helps the crew place boxes in the right room at Bhopal.
Keep these with you
- Cash, jewellery and other valuables.
- Medicines, including anything you need on the first night.
- Identity papers, property papers and other documents.
- Laptops, phones and chargers.
Not carried
- Fuel and LPG cylinders.
- Fireworks and other flammable or explosive items.
Plants
Declare any plants when you enquire. Acceptance is confirmed for your move, because a long road trip is hard on them and not every plant can be taken.
Why choose ALPM, and what to check before booking
Questions to ask any mover
- Who actually moves the goods, and who is responsible at each end?
- What exactly is in the written scope, and what is separate?
- How is the dispatch day set, and how is the receiving window agreed?
- What happens if the building is not ready, and how is holding handled?
- How are counts and condition recorded at loading and delivery?

Optional cover
Transit cover is optional and follows the provider’s own terms. Read what is covered, how value is declared, the exclusions and claim steps before you accept it. Keep condition photos and inventory records, note damage or missing packages on delivery paperwork, and report it promptly through the agreed contact.
