Packers and Movers Pune to Amritsar
Moving from Pune or PCMC to Amritsar means roughly 1,880 km by road, and the final price follows your inventory, floors and delivery address. A 2 BHK on a shared load is typically planned at ₹24,000–₹30,000 before GST and optional cover; a dedicated vehicle costs more. For timing, plan 5–7 days after dispatch for a dedicated vehicle and 7–10 days for a shared load, plus time before dispatch.

Pune to Amritsar shifting charges for a household move
Treat these as planning bands for a move of about 1,880 km, not fixed tariffs. Each band is one figure that covers packing labour, packing materials, loading, road transport, unloading and any furniture work agreed on the quote. GST is not folded in; it appears as its own line on the written quote, and optional transit cover is separate.
| Home size | Shared load | Dedicated vehicle |
|---|---|---|
| 1 BHK | ₹17,000–₹22,000 | ₹22,000–₹27,000 |
| 2 BHK | ₹24,000–₹30,000 | ₹30,000–₹38,000 |
| 3 BHK | ₹32,000–₹42,000 | ₹42,000–₹52,000 |
| 4 BHK or villa | ₹42,000–₹55,000 | ₹55,000–₹70,000 |
Shared load means your goods travel with other customers' goods and are consolidated before dispatch. Dedicated means a vehicle booked for your goods alone. These two labels belong to household moves; cars and bikes are priced by vehicle category in their own section.
What moves the price inside a band
- The real inventory: the number of wardrobes, bed sizes, appliances and boxed items, not the BHK label alone.
- Floors and lifts at both ends, and how far the vehicle has to stand from the entrance.
- How much we pack and how much you pack yourself.
- Furniture dismantling and refitting you ask for, and any item that needs an assessed crate.
- Your dispatch date and how flexible it is.
Send a room-by-room list or a short walk-through video. The quote should name the mode, state who packs and dismantles what, and list every extra with its amount or mark it not applicable.
Pune to Amritsar moving cost range selector
Select your household size or vehicle category. These planning ranges help compare scope; the final quote needs your inventory, both addresses and booking dates.
Confirm the inventory, access, included work, GST and any cover or additional handling in writing.
Pune to Amritsar distance and transit time
Road-distance guides for this pair of cities land around 1,870–1,880 km, and we use about 1,880 km as a planning figure. It is not a measured trip: your pickup address in Pune or PCMC, your Amritsar address and the corridor the operator chooses to run north will all shift the real number. Confirm the proposed truck route and the departure window when booking.
| Mode | On the road after dispatch | Before dispatch |
|---|---|---|
| Dedicated vehicle | About 5–7 days | Loading and dispatch dates are agreed with you at booking |
| Shared load | About 7–10 days | Extra days can pass while the load is consolidated; ask for the expected dispatch window |
These are planning ranges, not a guaranteed delivery date. Rain, road works, a breakdown or a winter slowdown can all move the arrival. Ask how you will get position and weather updates, and offer the receiving side a window of a day or so rather than one fixed hour.
House shifting from Pune to Amritsar: what the quote should cover
A good quote reads like a checklist you can tick. Each service appears once, as included, extra with an amount, or not applicable.
| Service | How it appears on the quote |
|---|---|
| Packing labour and materials | Included in the band |
| Loading at Pune or PCMC | Included |
| Road transport to Amritsar | Included |
| Unloading and placing at Amritsar | Included, within the accepted slot |
| Dismantling and refitting of agreed furniture | Included for the items listed |
| Assessed crate for a fragile or heavy piece | Extra, with an amount stated per item |
| Long hand-carry or no-lift stair carry at delivery | Extra, with an amount stated after assessment |
| AC removal, gas, electrical and plumbing work | Not applicable to the packing crew; use a qualified technician |
| Unpacking and assembly | Stated on the quote; it starts only after everything is unloaded and placed |
Packing protection
Fragile items get cushioning and rigid protection, such as corner guards and board panels around glass, mirrors and screens. Pieces that need more are assessed for a crate. Wrapping reduces scuffs and abrasion; it is not a promise against heavy impact or extremes of temperature.
Appliances: prepare from the manual
- Check your model's manual before the move.
- A washing machine with transit bolts needs them fitted for the journey if the model requires it, and removed before first use.
- A refrigerator should rest after transit for the time its manual gives before you switch it on.
- Empty water lines and drain trays before packing.
Work for a qualified technician
Air-conditioner removal and refitting, gas handling, electrical work and plumbing disconnects need a qualified technician at each end. Book one for both dates.
Pickup in Pune and PCMC
Check your society's rules on move timings, lift booking and where a long vehicle may stand, and tell us so the crew arrives with the right plan.

Delivering in Amritsar: from landmark to your gate
If your Amritsar address is described by a landmark—near the Golden Temple, off Hall Bazaar or behind a market—add the building and entry details. A landmark helps the driver find the area; it does not say where the vehicle may stop or how the goods reach your door. Before dispatch, settle these five things with the receiving side.
- The actual lane or gate entry: the point where your lane or society gate meets the road, shared as a map pin or photo.
- The lawful truck stop: where a vehicle of the booked size can legally stop, and for how long.
- Indoor fit: whether the packed furniture will go through the door, lift or stairs (see the furniture-fit section).
- Permission for the crew: any society, building or neighbour permission, and who holds the keys.
- An accepted slot: a day and time window the receiver has agreed, with a backup person named.
Recheck the ETA when the vehicle is dispatched and again as it nears Amritsar, and tell the receiver if the slot needs to move.
Same city, different questions
| Address type | Gate-specific checks |
|---|---|
| House or flat in Ranjit Avenue, Basant Avenue, White Avenue or Kabir Park | Which gate or lane serves your block, whether the colony or building needs prior permission or has timing rules, and where the vehicle can stand without blocking neighbours |
| Majitha Road or the GT Road corridor | Whether your frontage lets a long vehicle stop, or whether the stop is on a service road or side lane, and how far that is from your entrance |
| Old city near the Golden Temple or Hall Bazaar | Whether the lane takes anything beyond a handcart on the day, where the nearest lawful stop is, and the carry distance from it |
None of this assumes every road is wide or every lane is closed. It means the answer is recorded for your gate rather than guessed from the area name.

Big days at the Golden Temple
Gurpurabs, Diwali and Bandi Chhor Divas, and Baisakhi bring major celebrations around the Golden Temple. If your address is in or near the old city, ask the receiver about the approach and available unloading slot for your particular day before dispatch. If that slot cannot be confirmed, agree another receiving day. Do not assume the same access conditions apply to a home in a newer colony.
Towns near Amritsar that are separate endpoints
Tarn Taran, Ajnala, Batala, Gurdaspur and addresses towards Attari are separate endpoints, even when an enquiry describes them as Amritsar. Give the actual town, PIN and final gate so the distance and approach are quoted for that place. For defence or border-area housing, obtain the gate and authorisation requirements from the receiving office.
Will your furniture fit? Handling at both ends
Fit problems are cheaper to solve before loading than after. Measure the packed width, height and depth of your biggest pieces, such as the wardrobe, bed, sofa and refrigerator, and compare them with the openings at both ends.
- Doorways and entrance gates.
- Lift doorway, usable cabin dimensions and load limit.
- Stair width and the turns on each landing, in Pune and in Amritsar.
Wardrobes and beds with removable panels are dismantled only if the design allows it and the owner agrees. Lifting a piece over a balcony or through a window with ropes is never assumed; it is considered only after a qualified person has assessed it as feasible and safe at that site.
If a piece will not fit
- Before loading: look at a feasible alternative with qualified people, agree a new delivery slot, or leave the piece out of the load.
- After loading: arrange a feasible accepted delivery slot or confirmed holding with the operator, and agree custody and any extra handling costs before another transfer.
Worked example: an old-city delivery near Hall Bazaar (hypothetical)
This is an illustration of how a quote reads. It is not a past job and not a tariff. A family is moving a 2 BHK on a shared load to a third-floor flat in a lane off Hall Bazaar. There is no lift, and the receiver's photos show a lane that fits a handcart. Neighbours and local contacts confirm that a vehicle of the booked size can stop lawfully at the outer end of the lane, about 200 metres away.
| Item | Status | Amount |
|---|---|---|
| 2 BHK shared-load move, within the shared band | Included in base | ₹27,000 |
| Hand-carry from the truck stop to the lane, three handlers, about three hours | Extra | ₹2,400 |
| Stair carry to the third floor, no lift | Extra | ₹1,200 |
| Smaller-vehicle transfer | Not applicable | None |
| Holding | Not applicable, slot confirmed | None |
| Subtotal before GST and cover | Total of the lines above | ₹30,600 |
| GST | Separate line at the rate on the quote | As quoted |
| Transit cover | Optional, separate, from the provider on declared value | Provider's quote |
Counts are agreed in advance too: 64 numbered cartons and 11 furniture pieces, each with a number on the inventory and each checked at the truck stop. If furniture is dismantled into separate packages, label and count those packages too.
The receiving plan
- Before dispatch, the receiver names a key holder and a backup, gets the lane's permission for the crew, and accepts a delivery window.
- The crew checks the physical package IDs, counts and condition at the truck stop and again at the flat; the sheet records who has custody during the local carry.
- All goods are unloaded and placed inside the slot before any unpacking or assembly begins.
- Damage or missing items are written on the receiving sheet before anyone signs.
If a smaller vehicle is suggested instead
A long hand-carry is not the same as a smaller-vehicle transfer. A transfer is considered only when it has been assessed as lawful and feasible. The quote then names the operator, the transfer location, the crew, each local leg, the item numbers and counts, their condition at handover, who has custody, and the cost, stated once.
Winter timing: decide before dispatch, adjust after
Winter fog and cold-weather slowdowns can stretch a northern run, but no fixed number of extra days applies to every move. What helps is deciding in advance how you will respond.
Before dispatch
- Pick a dispatch date with some give, and tell the operator how flexible the receiving date is.
- Decide whether a later arrival would leave your Amritsar home unready. If so, agree a holding option in writing now rather than at the last minute.
- Ask how the operator will tell you about road and weather delays.
After dispatch
- Check the ETA at dispatch and again as the vehicle gets close, and move the slot if the ETA has moved.
- If the slot cannot move, use the holding arrangement you agreed in writing.
- Keep the receiver and the backup reachable on the day.
Arriving in an Amritsar winter
For a December or January arrival, keep warm clothes and enough bedding for the first several nights in your own luggage. Your family may reach before the household load, so check what your temporary accommodation provides rather than packing every blanket into the truck. Keep medicines, documents and chargers with you as well; the household delivery estimate is counted from dispatch, not from your own travel date.
Car and bike transport from Pune to Amritsar
Vehicles are priced by vehicle category, not by the shared and dedicated labels used for household goods. These are planning bands before tax and cover.
| Vehicle | Planning band |
|---|---|
| Bike up to 150cc | ₹6,000–₹9,000 |
| Premium bike above 150cc | ₹8,500–₹13,000 |
| Hatchback | ₹13,000–₹19,000 |
| Sedan or SUV | ₹16,500–₹25,000 |
The exact figure depends on the model, the carrier that accepts it and the carrier's calendar for Pune departures and Amritsar arrivals. Tax and cover are separate lines. The quote should name the actual carrier and its type rather than assuming one.
Details to send
- Make, model and variant.
- Any modification, such as lowered suspension or wide tyres.
- Whether the vehicle is electric or non-running; say so up front, since a carrier may not accept it.
- The pickup point in Pune and the collection point in Amritsar.
- Photos at handover, the odometer reading, and a list of keys and accessories.
- Any preparation steps and documents the maker or carrier asks for.
Transfer moves: employer documents and campus receiving
If your employer reimburses the move, its policy decides what paperwork it accepts, independent of any mover. Before booking, ask your HR or admin team which quote, invoice and receipt formats the policy requires, and whether it needs quotes from more than one mover. Share that with us so we can tell you what we can and cannot issue. Acceptance stays your employer's decision, and nothing here guarantees approval.
Receiving at a campus, cantonment or office compound
- Find out who authorises a goods vehicle to enter, through which gate and at what hours.
- Give the gate the vehicle and crew details it asks for before the day.
- Name the receiver and a backup, as for any Amritsar address.
- Confirm whether the vehicle can reach your door or must stop at a designated point, then plan the carry like any other gate.
Few-item and office relocation
Not every move needs a full vehicle. For a few pieces or a small office we price by item list rather than BHK band, so no standard band is published here. Send the list and the quote will state the mode and the amount.
Few items
- List each piece with its approximate size, and count boxed items.
- Give floors and lift details at both ends.
- Say how flexible your dates are, since that decides whether the items can go in a shared load.
Office physical assets
- Match each asset's tag or ID to a list.
- Count packages and accessories, such as chargers and cables, and note condition.
- Record the packed size of larger pieces.
- Name a release authority in Pune who signs items out, and a receiver and a backup in Amritsar who sign them in.
Our crew handles packing, labelling and transport. Disconnecting, reconnecting and power-testing IT equipment is done by qualified IT and electrical people the office arranges, so it is not part of the crew's work. Keep a separate window for the office’s IT team to reconnect and test before staff resume work.
Temporary holding if your Amritsar home is not ready
Holding is something to agree in writing before the goods leave Pune, not a fallback to improvise. Any holding availability, charge or concession needs written confirmation for your move. The quote either names an arrangement with a rate, or holding is not available for that move.
A written holding arrangement states:
- The named operator and the location where goods will be kept.
- Who has custody and who can open the space.
- The item numbers and physical counts, with their condition recorded at handover.
- How and when you can access them.
- The duration and the rate for it.
- How you exit, and the cost of redelivery to your Amritsar address.
If any of these are missing, treat holding as not agreed.
Packing protection and transit cover
Two things are easy to mix up: how your goods are packed, and what happens if something is still damaged.
Packing protection
The band includes cushioning and rigid protection around fragile items, with an assessed crate as a priced extra where one is needed. This lowers the risk of damage; it does not guarantee against impact or temperature.
Transit cover
- Cover is optional and appears on the quote as a separate line from the provider, based on the value you declare.
- Ask for the provider's name, the policy terms, the exclusions and the claim steps in writing.
- Declare the value honestly, since an under-declared value may limit a claim.
- Vehicle cover is a separate line from household cover.
If something arrives damaged
- Write it on the receiving sheet before you sign.
- Photograph the item and the packing.
- Keep the inventory and the item numbers.
- Follow the provider's claim steps and time limit.
How to choose a mover and book with ALPM
Whichever mover you pick, compare quotes on the same basis: the same inventory list, the same mode, the same floors and gate details. A useful quote names the mode, the scope, each extra with its amount, the GST line, the cover terms and any holding arrangement.
- Ask for the business name, GST registration and an address you can verify.
- Ask which documents the operator will carry for your consignment.
- Ask whether goods stay on one vehicle all the way.
- Read the advance and cancellation terms before you pay.
