Packers and Movers in Secunderabad

For house shifting in Secunderabad, choose the amount of help you need: a complete move, packing only, or loading and unloading for a vehicle you arrange. Agarwal Logistics Packers and Movers (ALPM) works from its published base in Old Bowenpally, Secunderabad, and plans each booking from the goods and access at both addresses.

Local household shifting starts from about ₹5,500 for 1 BHK, ₹8,500 for 2 BHK and ₹12,500 for 3 BHK. The final quote follows the inventory, packing, floors, lift or stairs and carrying distance. Below you can compare the service options and use a task-by-task checklist when a packing team, driver and receiving crew are different people.

Local Shifting Charges in Secunderabad

Local house shifting in Secunderabad starts from an indicative ₹5,500 for a 1 BHK, ₹8,500 for a 2 BHK and ₹12,500 for a 3 BHK. Each figure is a starting guide for a standard local move between two addresses in the twin-city area. Your written quote replaces it once the inventory and both buildings are known.

Indicative local household starting guide, Secunderabad
Home sizeIndicative starting guideWhat it is meant to represent
1 BHK₹5,500A compact home with a lean inventory and straightforward access at both ends
2 BHK₹8,500A family flat with beds, wardrobes, a kitchen and the usual large appliances
3 BHK₹12,500A larger inventory with more rooms to pack and more handling time
4+ BHK or villaAssessedPriced from the inventory, the access and the number of rooms
Few items or 1 RKAssessedPriced from the item list and the two addresses

What each guide covers

One scope sits behind all three figures: packing labour and materials, loading, road transport, unloading, and the dismantling and reassembly of furniture agreed at the survey. GST appears as its own line in the quote, with the treatment that applies to your booking. Other assessed work, such as a long carry or a walk-up, is shown in the quote as included, as an extra amount or as not applicable, so each item is counted once. How far unpacking and placement go is agreed in writing.

What moves the figure up or down

  • Floors and lifts: a fourth-floor walk-up takes far more handling time than a ground-floor home, and a lift booked for a fixed slot changes how the day is planned.
  • Carry distance: a narrow lane, a gated entrance or road work can leave the vehicle away from the door, so every item travels further on foot.
  • Bulk: a double-door refrigerator, a washing machine or a heavy wardrobe affects labour and vehicle choice more than extra boxes do.
  • Packing grade: books and linen need little protection, while glassware, televisions and polished furniture need more material and time.
  • Dismantling: beds, wardrobes, modular units and dining tables that come apart and go back together add work at both ends.
  • Date: weekends, month-end and busy moving months are in higher demand, so a flexible date opens more options.
  • Extra stops: a second pickup, two drop addresses or a holding stage are scoped separately from a straight move.

Reading two quotes side by side

Two quotes with the same headline can describe different jobs. One may include packing material and unpacking while another covers only loading and transport. Compare the scope lines first: packing, labour, vehicle, dismantling, unpacking, tax and any assessed carry or stair work. The handover register further down this page shows how to split those tasks clearly.

Secunderabad Addresses: Share the Exact Entrance

Secunderabad is a broad label. People search under Marredpally, Begumpet, Tarnaka, Bowenpally, Malkajgiri, Sainikpuri and many other names, but a vehicle arrives at one gate, on one road, at one entrance. Planning needs the colony or building name, the road, the gate or entrance the vehicle will use, the floor and the PIN code of the actual address.

A pickup on SP Road and one in Old Bowenpally need different entrance and approach details. ALPM’s base is in Old Bowenpally, Secunderabad 500011; use the actual PIN for your home rather than treating one Secunderabad PIN as valid everywhere.

Access details to confirm

  • Apartment towers and gated communities: ask the association whether a lift or goods lift must be booked, what move-in hours apply and whether a deposit or gate pass is needed.
  • Independent houses and older lanes: tell us how far the vehicle can stand from the door, because a long carry is planned and quoted differently from a vehicle at the gate.
  • Walk-up buildings: give the number of floors at each address, since stairs affect handling time for every heavy item.
  • Shops and market-area addresses: agree a loading window with the shop or building manager before the day.
  • Campuses, colonies and premises with a gate office: ask the premises manager which entry and timing arrangements apply, then pass the details to us in advance.

For moves near our base, the Bowenpally moving guide covers address and access details. The Malkajgiri moving guide covers inventory and access planning for the north-eastern neighbourhoods, and the Sainikpuri moving guide covers household estimates and preparation by home type.

For a move between Secunderabad and another part of Hyderabad, share both exact addresses and your preferred window so the route and the receiving access can be planned together.

Malkajgiri moving guide

Sainikpuri moving guide

Central streets, residential areas and the final gate

For a shop or home described as the SP Road, SD Road, RP Road, Paradise or Ranigunj side, add the building, floor and actual loading point rather than relying on the main-road name. For Marredpally, Begumpet, Bowenpally, Malkajgiri or Sainikpuri, give the colony and goods entrance as well as the wider locality. A delivery on another street may need a different carrying plan even within the same neighbourhood.

Local Shifting from Secunderabad to Other Parts of Hyderabad

Secunderabad is too broad to assign one distance to every move. Share the full pickup and destination addresses so packing, loading, the drive and receiving access are planned together. These examples describe the decisions to make, rather than a fixed route or journey time.

Where you are movingWhat to settle before the vehicle leaves
Within Bowenpally, Marredpally, Begumpet or central SecunderabadConfirm the two stopping points and floors. A short drive can still include a long carry, stairs or furniture dismantling at both buildings.
Towards Alwal, Kompally, Malkajgiri, Sainikpuri or ECILGive the colony, block and actual goods gate. For apartments, check the permitted lift and receiving slot; for a house, show the compound entrance and steps.
Towards Gachibowli, HITEC City or KondapurAgree the receiving property’s vehicle entry, lift and unloading appointment alongside packing and departure. Select the approach for the actual goods vehicle and conditions.
Towards Kukatpally, KPHB or MiyapurCheck the complete carrying path and furniture fit, and include any second collection or drop point before quoting.
Towards Uppal, Habsiguda, Nacharam, LB Nagar or another destinationName the receiver and confirm keys, permission and the usable path. A destination label alone does not show the final access or total moving work.

For a cross-city move, allow the booking team to align the loaded vehicle’s approach with the accepted unloading window. If the property cannot receive at the proposed time, settle a different slot or assessed holding arrangement before loading.

Complete Move, Handling Only or Packing Only: Which Do You Need?

A Secunderabad move can be booked as three different scopes. A complete household move, handling for a vehicle you arrange yourself, and packing only are priced differently and leave different tasks to be assigned. The usual gap shows on moving day, when nobody was named to secure the load or to receive it at the other end.

Three ways to book a move in Secunderabad
OptionWhat you hand overWhat stays with youUsually suits
Complete household movePacking, loading, road transport, unloading, and unpacking and reassembly where agreedValuables and documents carried personally, building permissions, a receiver at deliveryFull households, buildings with move-in timing, fragile or bulky inventories
Handling only, with your own vehicleCarry and handling at pickup and delivery, with load placement worked out with the driverPacking, the vehicle and driver, confirming who secures the load, and transit terms with the vehicle providerA vehicle and driver you trust, goods already packed, a small or simple inventory
Packing onlyWrapping, boxing and protection, and unpacking if addedNaming a competent crew and a vehicle for carry and transportFragile items, staged moves, goods heading into holding

How to choose

  • Choose a complete move when you want one provider accountable from packing to unpacking, when your building has move-in timing, or when the inventory is easy to damage.
  • Choose handling only when the vehicle and driver are already arranged, the goods are packed, and someone from your side is present at both ends.
  • Choose packing only when you arrange the movement yourself but want fragile and high-value goods protected properly.
  • Combine packing only with handling only for professional hands at both addresses while you keep control of the vehicle.

Scope and vehicle sharing are separate choices

Scope is the list of tasks. Shared or dedicated is how the vehicle space is arranged. Confirm the vehicle arrangement separately wherever transport is part of the booking. A shared load can be a whole home placed on dates that fit the capacity. A part load is a portion of shared capacity, not a third mode, and transport only is a scope, not a mode. Consolidation means your goods are matched to capacity, and a truck does not have to fill to the last carton. A dedicated vehicle is allocated to your goods with agreed pickup and delivery windows. Windows are written into the scope as planning commitments, and actual dispatch and arrival depend on loading, road and receiving conditions.

Which truck should you book?

Choose it after checking the packed inventory, not from a BHK-to-truck chart alone. Sofas and mattresses use space; books and tools add weight quickly. Confirm the actual usable body dimensions, rated payload and access for the assigned vehicle. If a smaller shuttle or additional trip is proposed, agree the transfer, handling and total cost before the day.

Task-by-Task Handover Register

When more than one party touches a move, such as a packing company, a handling crew, your own driver, a receiver and a technician, the gap is rarely the work itself. It is a task nobody accepted. Use this register with any provider, including us. Each task gets a named person, the point at which they take responsibility, and evidence that it is accepted, or the word PENDING with who will resolve it.

Named-party handover register
TaskWho accepts responsibility, and at which pointAccepted or PENDING: evidence and who resolves it
Inventory and parent item IDsA named person at the packing provider, at the survey and again at pickupAccepted when each parent item has an ID, a parent item count and a separate physical package count, a condition note and a protection grade in the written list. PENDING until you and the provider have both agreed the list.
Qualified packing handoverThe packing lead hands over to the loading lead or driver at the pickup addressAccepted when the recorded package count, condition and agreed protection match the item IDs, and any self-packed cartons meet the acceptance and handling terms agreed with the operator. PENDING for unresolved damage, weak packing or unclear terms, resolved by the packing and loading leads with you.
Vehicle fitness, body size and payloadThe vehicle owner or driver, before loading startsAccepted when body size, payload and usable load space are stated and the driver confirms them. PENDING if the vehicle is not yet assigned, resolved by whoever booked it.
Room-to-vehicle carryA named competent handling lead, from the first liftAccepted when the pickup path, stairs, lift and vehicle stop point are confirmed usable. PENDING for a blocked path or an unconfirmed lift slot, resolved by you with the premises manager.
Load placement, padding and securingThe person loading and the driver, each namedAccepted when the driver confirms the load is placed, padded and secured with materials that are on the vehicle. PENDING if nobody is named for securing, so securing must be assigned and completed before departure.
Transport and contactThe driver or transport provider, from departure to arrivalAccepted when driver and receiver contact numbers are exchanged and recorded. PENDING if the receiver’s number is missing, resolved by you.
Destination carry and unloadingA named competent handling lead on the receiving sideAccepted when keys, building permission, a usable path and the accepted slot are in place. PENDING until the receiver and permissions are confirmed.
Unpacking, assembly, appliance and technician workA named party for each jobAccepted when the extent of unpacking, reassembly and any qualified air conditioner, electrical, plumbing, carpentry or IT work is written down against a name. PENDING otherwise, resolved by you.

Heavy carry belongs to a named, competent crew, not to the household. Each provider answers for the tasks they accepted, and the register records who agreed to what when several providers are involved.

Checklist at packing handover or a driver change

  • Parent item IDs, the physical package count, condition and protection for each.
  • Whether each package is fit for transport.
  • Pickup and delivery paths that are usable.
  • Vehicle body size and payload.
  • Securing materials on the vehicle.
  • Each responsibility named and accepted, with any PENDING item written down.

Resolve a PENDING securing or receiving task before loading or departure, as relevant. A name alone is not enough: confirm that the securing work is complete and that the receiving path, crew and slot are ready.

Will It Fit? Measurements at Both Ends

Fit is measured twice, once for the item and once for the route. Take the full packed piece and, where the design allows, its separated panels, and compare width, height and depth with every door opening, the lift entrance and cabin’s width, height and depth, and the stair turns and landings at both ends. Check the lift’s rated limit and usable load for the proposed item and handling arrangement. Separately confirm the vehicle’s actual usable body dimensions and permitted payload. A smaller truck does not make a stairwell wider. When a measurement is unknown, it is taken at the assessment rather than guessed from a photo.

Dismantling and labelling

Where the design permits and the owner agrees, a piece comes apart for the carry. Panels are protected and labelled, fittings go into a bag marked with the parent item, and nothing sticky goes onto a finished surface.

An illustration: third floor, no lift, 60 metre carry

This is a hypothetical example, not a past job. Take a 2 BHK on the third floor of a walk-up building where the vehicle can only stand about 60 metres from the entrance. You have booked your own vehicle, while the packing company and the handling crew are separate parties. Before anything is loaded, the packing lead, the handling lead and the driver need a joint, confirmed handover that names who carries, who loads and who secures.

  • Wardrobe: dismantled only if its design allows and the owner agrees, with a named person doing it.
  • Double-door refrigerator: the packed size is unknown, so the item stays PENDING until it is measured against the door openings and stair turns at both ends.
  • Fitting screws and loose parts: bagged and tied to the parent item.
  • Receiving end: a named receiver for the unload, so the delivery side is not left unassigned.
  • Cost: the long carry and stairs are shown once in the written quote.

If something does not fit

Before loading, choose a safe, permitted alternative assessed by a qualified person, set a new slot or exclude the piece. After loading, an accepted later slot or a confirmed holding arrangement takes the place of abandoning or excluding it.

Home Shifting: 1 RK to Villa

A complete house move brings the agreed packing, handling and transport under one booking. It is planned from your inventory and the access at both buildings, not from a fixed package.

What a complete household move covers

  • An inventory built from a survey, photos or a video call, so the quote reflects what is actually moving.
  • Packing and protection matched to each item type, with furniture dismantled where agreed and large pieces wrapped.
  • Loading in a planned order, road transport and unloading at the delivery address.
  • Unpacking, placement and reassembly to the extent written in the scope.
  • A final check against the inventory before the team leaves.

You set aside valuables, cash, jewellery and important documents to carry yourself, arrange any lift booking or entry permission your building requires, and have someone present at both ends to confirm placement and sign off delivery.

1 RK and few items

A single bed, a refrigerator, a sofa and a few boxes, or the contents of one room, can move without booking a full household service. The quote is built from the item list, the two addresses and the access at each end, so no single figure is shown. Send photos or a short video, the floors and lift details and the vehicle stop distance. Ask for handling and transport together, or handling only if you have your own vehicle.

4+ BHK and villas

Larger homes are assessed from the inventory, the number of rooms and the access, and are not priced from a headline figure. A larger inventory usually benefits from a survey before the quote.

Packing, Appliances and Furniture Handling

Packing is quoted by item type and grade. The protection for a shelf of books is different from the protection for a glass-top table, and a wrap that guards a polished finish does not by itself protect against impact.

Protection approach by item type
ItemTypical protectionWhat to agree at the survey
Glassware, crockery and ceramicsIndividual wrapping, padded cartons and filled gaps so nothing shiftsWhether every piece is wrapped individually
Televisions and monitorsCushioning and rigid outer protection without pressure on the screen; use the maker’s transport orientationWhether a sound original box with matching inserts is available
Wardrobes and polished furnitureFilm wrap for the finish, with foam or blankets and corner protection against impactWhether doors, shelves and mirrors come off
Mattresses and soft furnishingsCovers that keep dust and moisture awayWhether covers are included
Kitchen and loose goodsCartons packed by weight, with heavy items at the bottomWhether cartons are labelled by room
Books, files and documentsSmall, firmly packed cartonsWhether any papers travel with you instead

Self-packed boxes

If you have packed some boxes yourself, agree acceptance, any inspection needed, handling and applicable cover terms with the operator before the carry. Heavily loaded or loosely sealed boxes are easier to sort out at pickup than on the stairs.

Furniture dismantling and reassembly

Beds, wardrobes, dining tables and modular units are often safer in parts when the design allows. Agree who takes them apart, how panels are labelled, how fittings are kept with the parent item and who reassembles at the new address. Furniture with special tools or concealed fixings should be pointed out at the survey.

Appliances

Refrigerators, washing machines and televisions are packed and handled to the agreed scope, with preparation and restart following the model’s manual. A washing machine’s transit bolts, where the model uses them, are fitted correctly for the journey and removed before first use. Disconnecting and refitting air conditioners, geysers, chimneys and water-connected machines is a separate scope for a qualified technician, as is gas, electrical or plumbing work, carpentry and IT cabling. Decide whether that is your own installer, the manufacturer’s service team or another arrangement before moving day.

Unpacking

Where unpacking is in scope, agree whether it includes shelving and cupboard placement and whether cartons and packing waste are taken away afterwards.

Office and Shop Shifting in Secunderabad

Office and shop moves are planned around the building, the working hours and the equipment, not only the volume of furniture. For a local move within Hyderabad, the guide below applies to pickups in Secunderabad as well.

Hyderabad local office moving guide, indicative
Type of local office moveIndicative guide
Some office goods (selected furniture, files and equipment)₹4,500–₹9,500
Complete office₹6,000–₹19,000

This is a local guide for moves within the city. It is not a cap, an intercity rate or a per-employee figure. Shop stock and fixed fixtures need a separate assessment from the office price guide. Larger or complex systems such as server rooms, safes and industrial equipment are quoted after an explicit assessment of the assets and the access.

What shapes an office or shop quote

  • Desks, storage units, files and equipment, and how many must be dismantled.
  • Floors, lifts and when loading is allowed at the building or on the road outside.
  • The window you can work in, such as a weekend, after hours or around opening times.
  • For shops, the stock, shelving, display units and counters, and how long the premises can stay closed.

Assets, IT and authority

List actual asset IDs with parent item and physical package counts separately, condition and packed size, and name the person who authorises release at the old address and the person who receives at the new one. For IT, agree a backup, who disconnects, who reconnects, and who tests and restarts the system, including a suitable power plan, using an agreed qualified person. Allow the time the equipment actually needs rather than a fixed restart schedule. A personal laptop or file stays in the owner’s custody if the owner chooses, while business assets follow the authority named above. Labels can carry item IDs, package counts and the destination room, with no passwords or file contents.

Planning the day

Label desks, cabinets and equipment by destination room, and keep a floor plan of the new space so items can be placed on the first pass. Agree who from your side is on site at each end to direct the labour and sign off delivery.

Quarters, Gated Premises and Employer-Paid Transfers

If you are leaving allotted quarters, a campus address or another property with an entry desk, ask that property’s office what it requires. Confirm the goods gate, permitted vehicle, entry details and timing for the actual booking. Do not assume that one Secunderabad property’s procedure applies across the city.

  • Goods release: distinguish personal goods from borrowed, fixed or institution-owned items. Obtain the relevant owner’s approval before including them.
  • Premises handover: confirm inspection and key return separately from the vehicle entry and goods-release appointment.
  • Reporting and receiving: an employee’s joining date and the date the new home is ready may differ. Name someone who can receive with keys, permission and a usable carrying path.
  • Reimbursement: share the billing entity, GST details and any employer or department format before invoicing. ALPM’s GSTIN is 36FDRPM0957B1ZC. Keep the approved estimate, invoice, receipt and consignment records.

Any approved-provider requirement and reimbursement entitlement come from your employer’s policy. Confirm them before booking; a GST invoice alone does not establish eligibility.

Part Loads, Transfers and Assessed Holding

Dates do not always line up, and loads do not always travel in one vehicle. These arrangements are considered case by case after assessment and are set out in writing.

Part loads

A part load takes a portion of shared capacity. The quote should say how the load is arranged, how it travels, and what happens if the item list changes before dispatch.

Transfers between vehicles or locations

A transfer is arranged only when it has been assessed as lawful and feasible. The written scope names the operator, the location, the crew that carries, unloads and reloads, and any local legs, with the cost shown once. At each handover the item IDs and count, the condition and the change of custody are recorded.

Assessed holding

Holding can bridge a gap such as a delayed possession date. Confirm these points in writing before anything moves in:

  • The operator and the location where goods will be kept.
  • Who has custody, and the item IDs and count recorded at intake.
  • The actual condition of the goods and the access terms.
  • The expected duration, the rate and how it is calculated.
  • The exit terms and the redelivery arrangement.

Condition records and transit cover

Photograph existing marks and agree item IDs and physical package counts at pickup and delivery. If you want transit cover, confirm its availability, declared values, exclusions and claim steps in writing; packing alone does not establish cover. Report any difference promptly with photos and labels under the actual booking terms.

Onward Moves and Vehicle Shifting

This page is about local shifting, so onward moves appear as compact 2 BHK references for three routes. Route pages carry the full detail. Distances are city-corridor references rather than measurements from a particular Secunderabad gate. All figures are indicative, not fixed quotes, and your pickup point, destination, inventory and vehicle all affect routing and the final quote.

Car and bike transport

Vehicle transport is priced by route and model, with no single price for all cars. A vehicle has its own date, condition record and handover point, separate from the household schedule.

Vehicle transport guide by route and model, indicative
VehicleVijayawada corridorVisakhapatnam corridor
Scooter up to 150 cc₹4,000–₹5,000₹5,000–₹6,000
Motorcycle above 150 cc₹5,000–₹6,000₹6,000–₹7,500

Sedan or SUV carrier₹10,500–₹13,000₹13,000–₹16,000

An enclosed carrier is quoted separately and is not assumed in these figures.

What to confirm for a car or bike

  • The exact make and model, including an EV, modification or non-running condition, and whether the carrier you need is available on your date.
  • The collection and delivery points, the protection used, and the loading and unloading scope and cost.
  • Photos of all sides, the odometer reading, the keys and any accessories at handover.
  • Fuel and battery handling as the vehicle maker or the carrier instructs.
  • The vehicle papers the actual carrier asks for, and which items the carrier declines.

Cash, jewellery, medicines and important documents travel with you. Anything the carrier declines, or any unsafe or prohibited goods, stays out of the household load, and declined items need a separate agreed arrangement.

Secunderabad to Bangalore, Chennai and other cities

For moving to Bangalore or Chennai, use the Hyderabad route guidance and include the actual Secunderabad pickup in your enquiry. Mumbai, Delhi and Kolkata moves are also assessed from the route and full inventory. Confirm the household and vehicle dispatch arrangements separately when different carriers or dates are involved.

Moving Day Step by Step

The sequence below suits a complete move. Handling-only and packing-only bookings follow the steps that match their scope.

  1. Share the details: both addresses, floors, lift availability, the vehicle stop distance, the inventory and preferred dates.
  2. Inventory and written quote: built from a survey, photos or a video call and listing what is included.
  3. Confirm the plan: the date, the time window, any lift booking or gate entry, and who is present at both ends.
  4. Packing and protection: goods are packed, and large pieces are dismantled and wrapped where agreed.
  5. Loading and transport: the load is placed in order and secured, and the vehicle goes to the delivery address.
  6. Delivery and unloading: goods are unloaded and placed as you direct.
  7. Unpacking, reassembly and final check: to the extent in scope, with the inventory checked before the team leaves.

Before dispatch

Check that the receiver has the keys and the authority to accept, that any property permission is in place, that the path is usable and that the slot is accepted. Recheck these whenever the expected arrival time changes. A first-room priority works only if the safe loading and unloading sequence allows it. All goods are unloaded safely and placed within the accepted slot first, and unpacking comes later, so nothing is left on the truck.

Delivery checks

Check the delivery promptly against the inventory and report any difference with the help of your photos and labels, especially for fragile and heavy items. Claims follow the terms in your actual booking.

Local timing

A move between two addresses in the twin-city area is normally planned as a single-day job. Bigger homes, several floors without a lift or a building with limited move-in hours can make it longer. Fix the lift slot with your building as soon as the date is set.

Paperwork to keep

  • The written quote with the scope line by line.
  • The booking confirmation with the date, window and addresses.
  • The inventory and the condition notes from pickup and delivery.
  • The invoice, with tax shown as applicable; if your employer reimburses the move, ask for its required format before booking.
  • A delivery acknowledgement noting any exceptions raised on the day.

Dates, weather and local events

Give the earliest and latest dates that work for you, along with any fixed lease, inspection or family ceremony appointment. Confirm availability rather than assuming a weekend or holiday slot. Where an event affects your street, check the relevant notice and the property’s access for that day before finalising the approach. In wet weather, arrange a dry packing space and protected carrying path; outer film does not dry damp contents.

Comparing Packers and Movers in Secunderabad

Most confusion in comparing movers comes from comparing figures that describe different jobs. Start with the type of provider, then compare scope line by line.

Provider types and what to check
Provider typeWhat the figure usually describesWhat to check
App or online platformA price built from the inventory you enter, a booking amount and a scheduled slotWhat the starting price covers, how the booking amount is adjusted and the rescheduling terms
Listing or comparison portalSeveral quotes from movers listed on the siteWhether the mover you chose is the one doing the work, and whether the quote is confirmed in writing
Direct local moverA survey or inventory, a written quote and a team planned around your buildingsHow the scope is itemised and who the named contact is
Labour, or vehicle with helpersHandling help, or a vehicle with helpersWho packs, who secures the load, who receives, and who answers for the goods

Questions to put to every provider

  • What does the quoted figure include: packing material, labour, vehicle, dismantling, unpacking and tax?
  • Is the quote based on a survey, photos or a video call, or only on the BHK size?
  • What happens to the price if the inventory, floors or access differ on the day?
  • Who is responsible for the goods in transit, and is any cover written into the quote?
  • Is the team the provider’s own or arranged through others, and who is the named contact on the day?
  • What are the rescheduling terms, and how are delivery and condition recorded?

FAQs: Packers and Movers in Secunderabad

How much do local packers and movers charge in Secunderabad?
Indicative local starting guides are ₹5,500 for a 1 BHK, ₹8,500 for a 2 BHK and ₹12,500 for a 3 BHK. A 4+ BHK home, a villa or a few-items move is assessed from the inventory and access. The written quote follows the inventory, the floors and lift at both ends, how close the vehicle can stand to each door, the packing grade, any dismantling and your date.
What is the difference between a complete move, handling only and packing only?
A complete move covers packing, loading, road transport and unloading, plus unpacking and reassembly where agreed, under one provider. Handling only covers the carry and handling of packed goods at both addresses for a vehicle you arrange. Packing only covers wrapping, boxing and protection, with the vehicle and the handling arranged separately. Ask for the division of tasks in writing, and use the handover register on this page to name who accepts each one.
Can I hire only loading and unloading labour for my own vehicle in Secunderabad?
Yes. Handling for a vehicle you arrange is available as a separate scope, covering the carry and handling at pickup and delivery. You arrange the vehicle and driver, and you confirm transit terms with that provider. It works best when the goods are packed, the vehicle’s body size and payload are known, and someone from your side is present at both ends.
Who secures the load when I bring my own vehicle and driver?
Name who places, pads and secures the load, and agree the securing materials and checks with the driver. Confirm that the work is complete before departure. If the task remains PENDING, resolve it before proceeding; merely adding a name does not make the load ready.
If one company packs and my own vehicle carries, who is responsible at the packing handover?
Agree a named packing lead and loading lead or driver at pickup. Match item IDs, physical package counts, condition and protection at that handover. For self-packed boxes, agree operator acceptance, any inspection needed, handling and cover terms beforehand; an unopened carton is not automatically rejected. Resolve weak packing, damage or unclear responsibility before loading.
What do the starting figures include?
One scope sits behind them: packing labour and materials, loading, road transport, unloading and the dismantling and reassembly of furniture agreed at the survey. GST is a separate line in the quote, shown as it applies to your booking. Other assessed work, such as a long carry or a walk-up, is shown in the quote as included, as an extra amount or as not applicable. How far unpacking and placement go is agreed in writing.
How is an office or shop move in Secunderabad priced?
For a local move within Hyderabad, the indicative guide is ₹4,500–₹9,500 for some office goods and ₹6,000–₹19,000 for a complete office. It is not an intercity rate and not a per-employee figure. The quote depends on furniture, files and equipment, the floors and lifts, your working window and how IT is handled. Server rooms, safes and industrial equipment are quoted after an explicit assessment. The office guide is not a cap. Shop stock and fixed fixtures need their own assessment.
Can you move just a few items or a single appliance?
Yes. A few-items move is quoted from the item list, the two addresses and the access at each end, so there is no single headline figure. Share photos or a short video, the floors and lift details and the vehicle stop distance. You can ask for handling and transport together, or handling only if you have your own vehicle.
Will my wardrobe or refrigerator fit through the stairs and doors?
Compare the full packed piece and any separately protected panels with the whole carrying path at both ends: door and lift entrances, lift cabin width, height, depth and usable load, stair turns and landings. Check vehicle body dimensions and payload separately. Unknown dimensions or weight need measurement or competent assessment. Dismantling must suit the design and have owner agreement. Before loading agree a feasible alternative, another slot or exclusion; after loading confirm a later accepted slot or suitable holding.
Can goods be held between pickup and delivery?
Holding can be arranged after the goods and the duration have been assessed, and the terms are written down. Confirm the operator, the location, who has custody, the item IDs and count, the condition at intake, the access terms, the duration, the rate, the exit and the redelivery arrangement. Nothing is assumed, so each point is stated in the written scope.
How long do onward moves take, and can a car or bike be shifted?
For a 2 BHK, a dedicated vehicle is about 2–3 days to Pune and 2–4 days to Visakhapatnam, and a shared load about 4–6 and 5–7 days, counted after dispatch. Vijayawada dedicated is provisionally same or next day once loading is done, the vehicle has dispatched and the receiver is ready, and shared timing is confirmed against the calendar before booking. Car and bike transport is priced by route and model: on the Vijayawada corridor a scooter up to 150 cc is ₹4,000–₹5,000, a motorcycle above 150 cc ₹5,000–₹6,000, a hatchback on an open carrier ₹8,500–₹10,500 and a sedan or SUV carrier ₹10,500–₹13,000. On the Visakhapatnam corridor the same classes are ₹5,000–₹6,000, ₹6,000–₹7,500, ₹10,500–₹13,000 and ₹13,000–₹16,000. All are indicative, and an enclosed carrier is quoted separately.
Who disconnects air conditioners and other fitted appliances?
Agree it before moving day. Air conditioners, geysers, chimneys and water-connected machines need a qualified technician for disconnection and refitting, and gas, electrical, plumbing, carpentry and IT work is a separate scope. Decide whether it will be your own installer, the manufacturer’s service team or another arrangement, and mention it at the survey. For a washing machine, ask whether the model uses transit bolts and who will remove them before first use.
Do you have a base in Secunderabad?
Yes. ALPM’s published base is H.No. 5-85/134, Bhavani Nagar, Old Bowenpally, Secunderabad, Telangana 500011. Share the actual pickup and destination, including each property’s own PIN and entrance, so the quote reflects the work at your addresses.
What does a 2 BHK move from Secunderabad to Gachibowli cost?
The local 2 BHK starting guide is about ₹8,500. The final quote depends on your inventory, packing, furniture work, both buildings’ floors and carrying paths and the accepted receiving slot. Send both addresses and a complete list or walkthrough for the amount.
Can a Sunday, holiday or short-notice move be arranged?
Ask the booking team about your preferred date and an alternative. Confirm permitted movement hours at both properties. A suitable team, vehicle and compatible loading and receiving slots must be available before the appointment is confirmed.
What paperwork should I request for a department or company reimbursement?
First check your employer’s provider requirements and claim policy. Share the billing name, GST details where applicable, approved scope and document format before invoicing. Retain the estimate, invoice, payment receipt, consignment record and inventory; reimbursement approval rests with your employer.
