These are budget guides for October 2026, not a fixed tariff. Use them to plan the budget before the inventory and access assessment. The figure you pay comes from a written quote based on your inventory, photos and both addresses.

House shifting charges Hyderabad to Bangalore

A normal household quote covers ordinary packing, loading, road transport, unloading and agreed furniture assembly, each counted once. Tax is shown as its own separate line. Work outside that ordinary scope should be written against each item as included, extra or not applicable, so nothing is charged twice. This covers transit cover, tolls, parking, stairs, long carries, crates, waiting time, holding, transfers, technical work, unpacking of contents, material removal and storage.

Bike and car transport charges

A vehicle quote stands on its own. It should state the exact collection and delivery points, the protection used, and who handles loading and unloading. Mark those tasks as included or extra in the vehicle quote rather than assuming they sit inside the household price. Model, running condition, open or enclosed carrier and your date window also affect the figure. Electric, non-running, oversized and crated vehicles are quoted individually.

What moves the price

• The inventory itself, especially large and heavy pieces, and how much you want the crew to pack.
• Floors, lift availability, carry distance and whether a vehicle can reach each door.
• Whether the load is shared or dedicated, and how flexible your dates are.
• For vehicles, the model, its condition, the carrier type and the exact collection and delivery points.

Illustrative arithmetic: 2 BHK plus a hatchback

This is an example to show how two separate quotes add up. It is not an invoice or a bundle. A 2 BHK household range of ₹20,500 to ₹31,500 plus a hatchback range of ₹9,000 to ₹11,500 comes to ₹29,500 to ₹43,000 before tax. Each part would still be quoted, scheduled and recorded separately.

Few items, 4+ BHK, offices and storage

A few items are priced on the actual count, packed size, weight and volume, and on the charging basis and any minimum the quote states. They are not priced from a BHK-only figure. Larger homes, small offices and storage need an inventory before any number is given.

Moving Out of a Furnished Rental: Take, Stay, Return and Pending

In a furnished or semi-furnished flat, the quote goes wrong at the first step if the list mixes your belongings with the landlord's. Sort the list before anyone assesses the load. Give each item an ID, a count, its condition, the fittings and accessories that go with it, and a note on who owns it and who has agreed to what.

TAKE means you own the item or its owner has authorised this move to the stated destination, so it goes on the accepted load. STAY means it belongs to the landlord, or to the flat under your lease, and is not packed. RETURN means the item goes back to its owner, such as a friend, employer or rental company. Agree the return place, date and authorised receiver separately. If it must be handed back in Hyderabad before dispatch, keep it off the Bengaluru load; any extra collection or drop needs its own agreed scope.

PENDING means ownership is not settled. Do not pack it first and sort it out later. Keep it off the take list until the owner or another authorised person confirms the item, destination and permission to move it. The latest accepted list sets the load and the quote. When the list changes, the volume and quote are updated, and the receiving flat in Bengaluru should be told what is actually arriving.

Choosing the Service: Full Packing, Truck Hire, Part Load or Few Items

Two separate questions often get mixed together in quotes. One is how much of the work is done for you. The other is how your goods travel. Settle both before you compare prices.

Full packers and movers service

Full service, often called door-to-door relocation, covers packing, loading, road transport and unloading in Bengaluru. Confirm furniture dismantling and agreed assembly in the scope, counted once. Unpacking of contents and qualified technical work can be selected separately; each should be marked included, extra or not applicable. It suits households that want the crew to do the handling, and it makes the quote easy to check against your inventory.

Truck or lorry hire

A vehicle-only quote moves your goods and leaves packing, protection, loading and unloading to you or to people you hire separately. It can cost less on paper, but it covers less work. Compare it only with other vehicle-only quotes, and compare full-service quotes only with other full-service quotes, so you are weighing like against like.

Part load and a few items

If you are moving a few cartons, one or two furniture pieces or the contents of a single room, a part load is usually the better starting point. The price is built from the number of items, their packed size, weight and volume, and the charging basis and any minimum stated in the quote. It is not built from a BHK-only figure. List each item with its size and say what stays behind.

Shared load or dedicated vehicle

A shared load can carry a few items or a full home when the space available and your dates fit the other consignments. Dispatch depends on how the load is combined, and that wait comes before the transit days. A dedicated vehicle gives you more agreed control over dispatch and loading, but it is not a guarantee of arrival. Your BHK count alone does not decide this. The inventory and your dates do.

Truck capacity

Goods vehicles are commonly described as 14 ft, 17 ft or 19 ft, but those names do not map to a fixed home size. What matters is the actual body size of the vehicle assigned, the packed volume and weight of your goods, the space needed to protect fragile items, and whether the vehicle can enter your lane and gate. Ask for the vehicle to be named in your written quote once your inventory is final.

Moving to Bangalore for a New Job or Company Transfer

A move from the HITEC City or Gachibowli side to a job in Whitefield, Bellandur or the Outer Ring Road corridor needs two plans: when you report to work and when your home is ready to receive the goods. These dates do not always match. Sort out the employer’s claim requirements before choosing the service.

Check your relocation allowance first

Many companies pay for shifting, either fully or up to a fixed limit. Before you book anything, ask HR what they need for the claim. Usually it is a GST invoice in your name, sometimes two or three competing quotes, and sometimes a lorry receipt or delivery proof. Plan around your joining date

Avoid leaving delivery and unpacking to the same weekend as your joining date. Keep a buffer. If you join on a Monday, try to have the goods picked up in Hyderabad by the previous Wednesday or Thursday, and check that the agreed delivery window leaves room before your first week at work. Shared-load consolidation may need a longer lead time.

Staying in a PG or company guest house for a while?

If the Bangalore flat is not finalised yet, you have two options. You can move only a few essentials now and send the rest once the flat is ready, or keep the household goods in storage for a few weeks. Both are quoted separately, so tell us early which way you want to go. Agree the storage location, availability, handling, duration and redelivery cost before sending the load.

Hyderabad to Bangalore Route: NH44, Distance and Timing

A current map shows about 575 km between Hyderabad and Bengaluru via NH44, with a passenger car drive of roughly ten hours. That figure describes a car journey and is not a delivery promise for goods. The real distance varies with your exact pickup and drop addresses and with the road the carrier chooses.

For household goods, plan on about 1 to 3 days after dispatch. Confirm the expected dispatch and delivery windows for your booking. Traffic, weather and access at the Bengaluru building can move it.

The work around dispatch matters as much as the road. Packing, loading and any consolidation happen in Hyderabad before the vehicle leaves, and none of it is counted in the 1 to 3 days. In a shared arrangement the wait for the vehicle to be filled is separate again. Ask for the expected dispatch date in the quote, and not only for the transit estimate.

3. Consolidation, if the load is shared or combined.

The unloading slot should be agreed before departure and reconfirmed when the expected arrival is known. A bike or car travels on its own carrier and its own window, so it may arrive on a different day from your goods.

The NH44 corridor and the Bengaluru city leg

The usual highway corridor runs south from Hyderabad through the Kurnool and Anantapur side towards Bengaluru. The quoted distance is a planning reference: your exact pickup, delivery gate and the carrier’s permitted approach determine the actual road journey.

Reaching Bengaluru’s northern approach is not the same as reaching an apartment in Whitefield, Bellandur, Sarjapur Road or Electronic City. Leave time for the city leg and unloading. The carrier must check current goods-vehicle restrictions for its vehicle and approach rather than promise a universal city entry time.

When to Book a Hyderabad to Bangalore Move

Start with the dates you cannot change: your lease handover, joining day and the receiving society’s unloading slot. Then compare two or three possible pickup dates. An apparently cheaper date is little help if it leaves the goods arriving before you can accept them.

• Month-end and weekends: ask about availability early. If your lease allows a mid-month weekday move, compare that option with your preferred date using the same inventory and service scope.
• School and job changes: for a March–June family move, allow time for the survey, disposal of unwanted furniture and school paperwork. Do not leave all three until packing day.
• Festival weeks: confirm crew, carrier dispatch and the receiving property’s working days before paying an advance. A confirmed pickup date alone does not fix a shared-load dispatch date.
• Rain on moving day: agree protection for the loading and unloading stretch outside the vehicle. Keep electrical items and cartons away from wet ground, and leave a buffer if outdoor handling must pause.

As a planning target, enquire about a week before an ordinary move and roughly 10–15 days ahead for a busy date or a large home. These are preparation guidelines, not an availability promise.

Hyderabad Pickup: Access, Lifts and Gates

We take enquiries from across Hyderabad, and whether a particular address can be served is confirmed when we assess it. A society name alone does not tell the crew where to stop or how to carry. For each pickup, send the details below.

• Gachibowli, Kondapur, HITEC City and Madhapur: the community or tower name, the gate to use, the floor, and whether there is a service lift or a goods lift.
• Kukatpally: the KPHB phase and road number where applicable, or your colony name. For Miyapur, give the actual apartment or colony and a nearby main-road or metro landmark.
• Ameerpet, Secunderabad, Attapur and LB Nagar: the colony or building name, the floor, and the nearest point where a vehicle can stop.

Add a map pin and a photo of where the vehicle will stand, the entrance and the narrowest point on the carry path. If goods are collected from two addresses, each is assessed on its own, so ask whether they can be combined in one visit. Tell us about stairs, long carries and tight parking before the quote, because they affect crew time and which vehicle can reach you.

Society Permissions Before Leaving Hyderabad and Entering Bangalore

Confirm permissions with both property managers before dispatch. A Hyderabad move-out pass and a Bengaluru move-in permission are separate tasks; approval at one end does not cover the other.

Before leaving Hyderabad

For a gated community in Gachibowli, Kondapur, Narsingi, Kokapet or Kukatpally, ask whether the property requires a gate pass, landlord or association approval, cleared dues, vehicle registration details or a service-lift booking. Get the actual allowed hours for your building and share them with the packing team.

Before entering the Bengaluru property

Ask the facility manager about unloading hours, service-lift reservations, lift protection, vehicle clearance, visitor or crew entry, and any move-in fee or refundable deposit. Check whether your chosen day has a restriction. Rules differ between societies, including properties in Whitefield, Bellandur, Sarjapur Road and Electronic City.

If a large truck cannot enter, measure the gate-to-tower distance and share photos of the route. Agree whether carrying from the stopping point is practical or a smaller transfer vehicle is needed, and price that work before arrival. This is separate from checking whether the furniture fits the lift and stairs.

Delivering in Bengaluru: Block, Stage, Sector, Phase and Gate

NH44 reaches Bengaluru from the north, so Yelahanka sits near the entry. Electronics City, Sarjapur Road and Whitefield mean a longer run across the city. An area name alone does not tell the crew where to go. Write the address as it appears on your lease, and add a map pin.

• Koramangala: the block, then the cross and main road, the apartment name and the floor.
• Indiranagar: the stage, the main and cross roads, and the building name.
• HSR Layout: the sector number, the main and cross roads, and the building name.
• Marathahalli, Bellandur and Sarjapur Road: the society and tower, the gate the vehicle should enter, and the nearest junction or landmark.
• Whitefield: the pocket you are in, such as the ITPL side, Hoodi, Kadugodi or Varthur, plus the community and tower.
• Yelahanka: Old Town or New Town, the layout, and the building name.

Electronics City

Electronics City lies on the Bengaluru to Hosur highway, and the township itself describes two phases. A township name does not tell a driver which entrance to use, and we do not assume one entry rule for the whole area. Write the phase, the street, the building or tower and the floor. Add a photo of the actual gate and any pass or approval the society needs for a goods vehicle.

First-night cartons

Pack one set of cartons you can open first and mark them for the crew. Useful contents are bedding and towels, toiletries, a change of clothes, a kettle, basic kitchen items, chargers, a torch, cleaning supplies and the tools needed to reassemble the bed.

Packing, Furniture and Appliances: What Gets Done and Who Does It

Ordinary household packing means furniture wrapping, cartons for crockery and clothes, and protection for the rest. The more specific the inventory, the more accurate the quote.

Furniture and the packed-size check

A bed or wardrobe can be dismantled only if its design allows it. Protect and label each separated panel, and bag the fittings under the matching furniture ID. Where it does not, or where we cannot tell, we assess it. A lawful, qualified alternative, a new time slot or leaving the item out of the move are the other options. The question to answer is whether the item, in its packed form, fits through every door, lift cabin and stair turn at both ends. A smaller truck does not fix a wardrobe turn. Measure the whole item and every panel as packed, and compare it with the openings.

Fragile items

Fragile items need rigid protection with cushioning, not cushioning alone. A crate is used only after assessment. If you pack some items yourself, ask whether the crew will accept them as packed. Do not assume it, and get the answer in writing.

Refrigerators, washing machines and other appliances

Follow the manufacturer's manual for your exact model. Depending on the model, this may mean defrosting and drying a fridge or securing washer transit bolts. There is no universal day-before routine. The manual decides what the appliance needs.

Qualified technicians

AC removal and refitting, gas, plumbing, electrical work, carpentry and IT work are done by qualified technicians. They are arranged and priced separately, even if booked with the move, and the ordinary shifting crew is not assumed to do them. A balcony rope lift is considered only when it is assessed separately and a qualified operator can confirm it. It also needs lawful permission and a feasible setup. It is not a standing capability.

What to keep out of the packed load

Carry work laptops, joining papers, original vehicle documents, valuables and daily medicines with you. Tell the booking team about live plants, aquariums, liquids and unusual items before packing day; do not assume that a household-goods carrier accepts them. Arrange any specialist transport separately.

Loading, Transit and Unloading Day

On loading day, furniture is tagged, cartons are counted and visible condition is photographed against your inventory. The loading scope covers the listed household goods and the goods vehicle. Car or bike transport has its own collection, protection, loading and delivery scope. Do not leave belongings inside a car for transport unless the carrier has agreed in writing.

After dispatch, updates come from the contact named in your booking. At the other end, the receiver counts the items, checks visible condition and directs the crew room by room. Set aside the documents, medicines and valuables you choose to carry yourself, leave them outside the crew inventory and keep keys accessible.

Transfers

A transfer from one vehicle to another is used only when it is needed, lawful, feasible and confirmed with the operator. It needs a permitted location, available crew, and a clear local carry, unload and reload leg. Mark the actual carrying, unloading, reloading and local leg as included or extra once. Match item IDs and record goods condition at each handover. A transfer will not fix a wardrobe that does not fit a stair turn. It is for an assessed operational need, not a way around a fit problem.

Long wrapped pieces need their own handover record

The photo shows several shapes in one load: cartons, long rectangular packages and wrapped cylindrical pieces. A carton-only count would miss part of it.

For a Hyderabad to Bangalore move, record long and rolled items separately and link any matching parts. Ask how they will be supported and kept apart from boxes during transit. Confirm how package identification is checked if the service includes a transfer or shared loading.

Send the same inventory to your Bangalore receiving contact before dispatch. Check that tall packages will fit through the actual gate, lift and doorway. Count the separate pieces before opening covers so they remain easy to identify.

Small Office Moves from Hyderabad to Bangalore

For a small office, the physical move covers desks, chairs, cabinets, cartons and similar assets. Tell us the physical IDs of the items released, who is authorised to release them in Hyderabad, and who receives them in Bengaluru. Record goods condition at both ends.

Computers, servers, network equipment and phone systems need more than a van. Backup, disconnecting, reconnecting and testing are done by your own qualified IT person or by a qualified technician arranged and priced separately. Plan a restart sequence for the first working day, and do not expect zero downtime. Machinery is separate and is assessed individually.

Bike and Car Transport from Hyderabad to Bangalore

A vehicle is its own job, with its own quote, carrier, collection and delivery points and date. It may not arrive with your goods, so treat it as a second move running alongside the first.

What to tell us

• The make, the exact model and whether it runs normally.
• Whether it is electric, non-running, oversized or a bike that needs a crate.
• The actual collection point in Hyderabad and the delivery address in Bengaluru, each with a map pin.
• Basement parking, tight lots and gated complexes, with a photo of the spot and the way out.

Ask the Bengaluru society whether and when a large carrier may enter, and share the slot it confirms. The carrier type, open or enclosed, is quoted for each vehicle and should be named in the quote.

Handover record

• Dated photos of every side and of the odometer.
• A written note of existing marks.
• The keys, the accessories that stay in the vehicle and anything you removed.
• The papers the carrier requires, with copies kept by you.

Fuel level and battery handling follow the manufacturer's and the carrier's instructions. There is no universal rule to drain or disconnect anything yourself. If you may re-register the vehicle in Karnataka, ask your registering transport office about any no-objection certificate.

Bike by train parcel or by road carrier?

Compare the complete job, not just the freight. Railway parcel involves taking the bike to a booking station, arranging proper packing and collecting it at the destination station. Confirm that the chosen stations accept the booking and check the current charges and collection arrangements. Indian Railways distinguishes parcel from luggage: luggage booking is for someone travelling on the same train, subject to available space. It asks for registration and government ID copies, proper packing and an empty petrol tank for a petrol two-wheeler.

A road-carrier quote can include pickup and delivery at the agreed addresses, subject to vehicle access. Compare those local legs, packing, handling and your own time with the station option. Do not apply railway fuel instructions automatically to a road carrier; follow the chosen carrier’s instructions for your model.

Paperwork, Payment and Transit Cover

Keep copies of your inventory, the written scope, the payment and cancellation terms and the invoice. The invoice should show tax and any optional cover as they apply to your booking.

Consignment note

For the road leg, the transporter normally issues a consignment note, also called an LR or lorry receipt. It records the sender, receiver, goods description and vehicle number. Ask for a copy or a photo and keep it until the goods are delivered and checked.

E-way bill

An e-way bill is a GST document that applies to prescribed cases of goods movement, and the rules carry exemptions. Not every move needs one, and not every interstate move is exempt. Separate your used belongings from new purchases, goods bought for resale and business stock, and keep purchase invoices for the latter. Ask the transporter to confirm what documents your actual load needs.

Payment and cancellation

Advance payment, stage payments, cancellation and rescheduling terms should be in writing before you book.

Transit cover

Cover is not assumed. If it is offered, ask for the actual insurer's policy, the declared value, exclusions, the deductible and how and when to report a claim, alongside the carrier's own liability. Do not expect a fixed percentage or a guaranteed full payout.

Give every provider the same inventory, addresses and dates, then compare what comes back.

• Price and scope: does the figure say who packs, what access it assumes, and whether unpacking, refitting, tax and optional cover are included?
• Transport: is it shared or dedicated, and for a car, open or enclosed?
• Identity: do the business name, address and GST details on the invoice match what the company publishes?
• Contacts and claims: who gives updates and who handles a complaint?
• Payment and cancellation: what are the advance and cancellation conditions, and where are they written?

A lower figure may simply cover less work, so compare scope before you compare price.

Receiver Readiness, Holding and Storage

Before the goods leave Hyderabad, make sure the Bengaluru end is ready. That means someone holds the keys and has the authority to receive, and the gate permission for a goods vehicle is in hand. It also means the crew and the packed goods have a usable path by lift or stairs, and the room is ready. If any of that is missing, tell us before dispatch.

If the receiving end is not ready, the options are a written new slot, or an assessed and confirmed holding arrangement. Holding is a separate arrangement, and it is not automatic. It depends on the operator, the location and its availability. It also needs custody under item IDs, the goods' condition, access, duration, rate, the terms for goods going in and out, and redelivery. Whether a fee applies depends on what is arranged, and it is written down first. Storage works the same way and is offered only where it is needed, feasible and confirmed.

Checking delivery

On delivery, check the IDs against your list and the visible condition of the goods. Intact outer packaging and a correct count do not prove the contents are undamaged. Check fragile items soon after delivery, report any damage or missing goods promptly, and write any difference on the handover paperwork with photos before the crew leaves.
