Packers and Movers Charges in Tarnaka
These are indicative guides for a household move within Hyderabad where Tarnaka is the pickup, the drop or both. A written ALPM quote covers packing labour and materials, loading, road transport, unloading and any agreed basic dismantling and reassembly of furniture as one scope. GST appears as its own line at the treatment that actually applies. Any other assessed work is shown as included, as an extra with its amount, or as not applicable, so nothing is charged twice.

What usually moves it up
1 BHK
₹5,500
Extra furniture, a long carry, upper floors without a working lift
2 BHK
₹8,500
Heavy wardrobes, a full kitchen, many fragile items, tight lanes for the vehicle
3 BHK
₹12,500
Large inventory, bulky furniture, more than one trip, dismantling

What shapes your figure
The inventory: cartons, furniture sizes and weights, and appliances that need separate care.
Access at both ends: floors, lift size and booking, stairs, and how far the crew must carry goods to the vehicle.
The vehicle and crew the job needs, which follow from inventory and access and not from the BHK label alone.
The packing level and extent of dismantling and unpacking agreed in your scope; a change is assessed against what the quote already includes.
The date: month-end and weekends are busy, and an early weekday start is often easier to arrange.
Reading a quote
A quote you can compare names the home size, the items, who supplies packing material, the vehicle, the floor and lift assumptions and the date. A figure without those is a headline. Ask for them in writing before you decide. Office guides are in their own section, and intercity and vehicle figures are further down.
Tarnaka Access: Lanes, Lifts and the Drop Address
Tarnaka metro station sits on Krishna Deva Raya Road near NIN, close to Tarnaka Main Road, with the Osmania University side and Lallaguda nearby. Those are handy reference pins, but what decides a move is the building and the lane. Homes here range from apartment blocks to independent houses, so we check each address and do not assume access from the locality name.
What to share for each address
Building name, lane, floor and a map pin, so a neighbouring area is not mistaken for the pickup point.
Whether there is a lift, its size, and whether it can be reserved for moving. If not, the number of stairs and any narrow turns.
The width of the approach road and where a vehicle can stand, and for how long.
Society or building rules: moving hours, deposits, gate passes and security checks.
Any piece wider or longer than the door or lift. The measurements are covered in the fit section below.
Vehicle and timing
The vehicle follows the inventory and the approach road. A narrow lane can mean a smaller vehicle making more trips and not one larger vehicle. When the building permits, an early start also avoids the busiest junction hours. Share the same details for the receiving address, because a move that is perfect at pickup can still stall at the drop if the lift is unavailable or the vehicle cannot stand close.
Moving From Tarnaka to Other Hyderabad Areas
Start with the actual two buildings. A move within the Tarnaka–Habsiguda side and a cross-city move towards the western IT areas can need different driving and receiving plans, but distance alone does not set the price. A book-heavy inventory, stairs or a distant loading point can change a short move substantially.
Tarnaka local destinations and checks before booking
Destination
What to share and confirm
Habsiguda, Uppal, Nacharam and nearby addresses
Give the exact colony, gate pin and receiving floor. Confirm the stopping point rather than using only a metro or main-road landmark.
Lallaguda, Mettuguda and Secunderabad
Check the building or quarters entrance, permission and loading window. The relevant office or association confirms its own rules.
Osmania University side, Adikmet and Amberpet
Distinguish a private residence from an institution-controlled address. Confirm authorised release for institutional files or borrowed books and any gate permission.
Madhapur, HITEC City, Kondapur and Gachibowli
Plan the whole city leg, actual tower entrance, lift slot and accepted delivery window before dispatch.
Use the Habsiguda moving guide or Nacharam shifting guide for relevant destination details. The local starting guides above remain inventory-based; no fixed rate applies to every address pair.
Moving Books, Files and a Home Study: Keep Track Shelf by Shelf
A home with many books, files and a study desk needs a different method from a home of clothes and crockery. The aim is that every shelf can be traced to its cartons on the way out and checked against them on the way in. The example below is a hypothetical illustration, not a record of a real job.
Sort before packing
Sorting a book-and-paper-heavy home
Group
Examples
How it travels
Keep personally
Original certificates and property papers, medicines, laptop, drives, passports
With you, not in any carton
First-access copies
Non-sensitive copies of current work and reference files
With you, or in an accepted marked carton placed early only when the safe unloading sequence allows
Everything else
Books, older files, notes, stationery
In numbered cartons, packed shelf by shelf
Books borrowed from a library and files that belong to an institution are not yours to release informally. Get the owner’s authorised release before they go into a move, and do not treat them as personal items.
The three-column register
Keep one sheet, on paper or on your phone, with three columns. Plan the first two before pickup, record the actual packing details at loading, and complete the receiving checks on delivery. The sample statuses below illustrate how to fill the sheet.
Shelf-to-carton register
Shelf or location, and type of contents
Carton IDs and what was recorded
Receiving room, check status and who resolves
Case 2, Shelf 3: novels and paperbacks
C2S3-1of2 and C2S3-2of2; two physical cartons; record condition, seal and actual weight against the carton limit
Study; both cartons seen at the handover; resolver is the crew supervisor
Case 1, Shelf 1: reference books
C1S1-1of1; one physical carton; record condition, seal and actual weight against the carton limit
Bedroom; checked on arrival; resolver is you
Study desk drawers: stationery
D1-1of1; count and condition noted
Study; pending; resolver is you
The bookcase itself gets its own parent ID, separate from its cartons, and its protected panels and hardware carry the same ID and separate physical package counts. Describe contents by type only. Do not write file contents, grades, research topics or sensitive reference numbers on a label. A carton count shows that cartons arrived, but it does not show how many books are inside unless the books were listed separately.
Carton strength and weight
Books add weight quickly; a compact carton can still exceed its strength or marked load limit. Choose cartons by their real strength and any marked load limit, and weigh them. The crew and equipment must be able to carry them along your actual route, so tell us about stairs and the carry distance. There is no single kilogram figure that suits every carton, carrier and route, so use smaller strong cartons, close the base properly, balance each load and fill voids so nothing shifts. Linen or soft items can fill a gap, but they add weight, so check the weight again afterwards.
Keep paper dry
Keep damp-prone papers dry before wrapping, and do not seal books that are wet. Certificates, photographs, maps and older notes do better in sleeves, off the floor and away from wet items. Very old or rare paper needs specialist advice and an ordinary move is not conservation, so ask before you pack such items.
A hypothetical illustration
Imagine Case 2, Shelf 3 packed into two cartons labelled C2S3-1of2 and C2S3-2of2. At delivery only C2S3-1of2 is seen. Compare labels with the signed loading inventory and unloading counts; ask the crew to check the vehicle and other handover records before opening cartons and mixing piles. The difference is then reported to the booking contact with photos under the actual booking terms. The register turns a vague feeling that something is missing into a specific carton to chase. Use the same method with your own shelf IDs and actual counts.
Receiving Room Readiness and Unpacking Order
Before dispatch, confirm who will be at the receiving address with the keys and the authority to accept goods. Check any society permission, gate pass or lift booking, that the path from vehicle to door is usable, and that an accepted slot is fixed. If the arrival time shifts, recheck all of these.
Plan the rooms first
Sketch the new home and mark which wall each bookcase will stand against and which room each numbered carton belongs in. That sketch is what the crew follows when carrying in, and it is also what you tick against the third column of your register.
Order of the day
First-access items come off first only if the loading sequence safely allows it. Safety of the load comes before convenience.
Every item is unloaded and placed in a safe, accepted spot within the agreed slot before anything is opened or rebuilt.
Do a signed count check against labels and the inventory at the vehicle handover, before cartons are opened and cartons from different shelves mix.
Shelves are then assembled. Where the design needs anti-tip fixing or wall mounting, a suitably qualified person follows the design and the owner-agreed fixing plan, and the books go on only once the shelf is secure.
Unpack carton by carton in register order, ticking the third column as each one is checked.
Do not stack books onto shelves while the truck is still being unloaded. A half-unloaded home with open cartons is where counts get lost.
First check on delivery
Check fragile and heavy cartons promptly, with the crew present where practical, and photograph labels and any visible damage. Report issues under your actual booking claim terms and do not rely on a deadline you have been told informally.
What stays with you
Original documents, medicines, your laptop and drives stay with you throughout. The first-access carton holds only non-sensitive copies.
Will It Fit? Doors, Lifts and Stair Turns
A packed bookcase or wardrobe may fit the vehicle but still miss a door opening or stair turn. Measure width, height and depth for the full packed piece and for its separated panels, then compare them with every point it has to pass at both ends.
Measure and compare
Measure
Compare against
Fully packed bookcase: width, height, depth and known weight
Door openings, lift entrance, lift cabin width, height and depth with usable load, stair turns and landings at both ends
Separated panels with their protection: width, height, depth and weight
The same points, plus the vehicle’s usable body size and payload
A smaller truck does not solve a stair-turn problem, because the limit is inside the building. We do not dismantle a whole bookcase automatically. If it fits, it stays whole. If the design allows dismantling, the owner agrees to it, fittings go in bags tagged with the parent bookcase ID, panels are protected and labelled, and no adhesive tape touches the finish.
If a piece does not fit
Before loading, choose a suitable permitted alternative handled by a qualified operator, a new slot, or leave the piece out of the load. After loading, if the drop turns out to be unreachable, the next step is a later accepted slot or a confirmed holding arrangement and not abandoning or excluding the piece.
A transfer to another vehicle is considered only when assessed as lawful and feasible. Confirm the operator, location and crew for carrying, unloading and reloading, the local legs and the cost once, plus item IDs, physical package counts, condition and the change of custody.
House Shifting in Tarnaka: Full Homes and Selected Rooms
A household move starts with a room-by-room list and not with cartons. For each room, tell us the floor, the lift, the large pieces and anything unusual. That list decides the crew, the vehicle and the packing material.
Packing of the whole home or chosen rooms, with breakables wrapped one by one and cartons labelled by room.
Covers and padding for furniture, mattresses and sofas, with edge protection for mirrors and glass.
Where needed, owner-approved dismantling of beds, wardrobes and modular units whose design permits it, with fittings in labelled bags.
Loading in a planned order so heavy items sit low and nothing leans on fragile cartons.
Unloading room by room, with furniture placed where you indicate.
Full or partial packing
Full packing suits a household without time to box a home. Partial packing suits one that wants to box books, clothes and daily items and leave fragile items, kitchen and electronics to the crew. The quote states which one it assumes.
Before the crew arrives
Keep a bag with documents, valuables, medicines, chargers and first-night essentials with you. Leave a clear walkway from the door to the lift or stairs, and tell us about any item that is unusually heavy, fragile or sentimental so it is planned for in advance.
1 RK, Few Items and Part-Load Moves
Not every move needs a full vehicle. A single wardrobe, a bed and a refrigerator, one room’s furniture, a few appliances or a set of cartons can move as a few-items job within Hyderabad. A 1 RK is assessed in the same way, from what it contains.
What helps us quote it
A list of the items, with approximate sizes for furniture and the make or model for appliances.
Photos of each large item and of the route from the door to the vehicle.
Floors, lift availability and both full addresses.
Your date, and whether the receiving address will be ready to accept the goods then.
How it is priced
It is quoted from the list and the access and not from a BHK size. The trip and the crew’s time are needed whether the load is small or large, so a short list does not always mean a proportionally small figure.
If one item matters more than the rest, such as a glass-top table, an instrument or a large mirror, say so at the start. It is then planned as a priority and loaded where heavier goods cannot lean on it.
PG or student-room checkout
Ask the owner or warden about the collection window and checkout permission before choosing the vehicle time. List what belongs to you and what came with the room. A bed, cupboard or study desk supplied with the accommodation stays unless its owner agrees to release it. Keep certificates, personal documents, laptops and drives with you, and include any second collection address in the quote.
Office and Shop Shifting in Tarnaka
Office and shop moves are planned around the working day, so the first question is when the premises can close and when they must reopen. Then comes the asset list: desks, chairs, cabinets, computers, printers, networking equipment, shelving, counters and stock.
Local office guide within Hyderabad
Scope
Indicative guide
Some office goods
₹4,500–₹9,500
Complete office
₹6,000–₹19,000
These are guides to local moves within Hyderabad and are not a cap, a per-employee rate or an intercity figure. The assessed quote follows the assets and the building access. Server racks, structured cabling, heavy safes, machinery and industrial equipment are quoted only after explicit assessment.
How an office move is organised
Keep an asset register with main item numbers, separate physical package counts, condition and packed size, plus who authorises release and who receives at the other end.
Label furniture and cartons by destination area, and mark cable ends or ports on equipment.
IT: back up data first. Disconnection, reconnection, testing and power-up are done by a qualified person as agreed. We do not set a fixed restart timeline for IT systems, because it depends on the equipment.
Personal laptops can stay in their owner’s custody; business assets follow the business’s authorised release and receiving instructions. Do not write passwords or file contents on labels.
Confirm goods lift booking, gate passes and permitted hours at both ends.
Shops and showrooms
Stock and loose goods have their own counts. Assess shelving, counters and fixed fittings separately, including owner consent and any qualified removal or refitting; the office guide is not a tariff for shop stock. We plan the closing day and reopening day first, then work backwards to packing and fixture removal.
Packing, Loading, Unloading and Appliance Handling
These steps decide most of what happens to your belongings, so each is planned in advance.
Packing
Cartons are packed by room and labelled with a short description. Breakables are wrapped individually and packed upright where possible. Fragile items need cushioning and rigid protection, or a crate when assessed, since a wrap that protects a surface finish is not impact protection. If you pack some cartons yourself, ask beforehand about acceptance, inspection, handling and cover for those cartons.
Loading and unloading
Heavy and stable items go low, cartons are stacked so weight rests on the base and not on a fragile lid, and furniture is padded and secured. The loading plan accommodates the delivery order wherever weight distribution and securing permit. At the other end cartons go to the rooms on their labels and walls, door frames and floors are protected where the route calls for it.
Unpacking
Unpacking is optional and the extent is agreed in advance, for example kitchen and wardrobes first. Items you prefer to unpack yourself, such as books and papers, are left boxed.
Appliances and furniture
For appliances the manufacturer’s manual for your model decides the preparation and the restart. Qualified technicians handle air-conditioner gas, electrical, plumbing and carpentry work, and IT setup is a separate scope. They are arranged separately unless your quote says otherwise.

Declare gas cylinders, fuel, paints and other hazardous contents before booking, and ask how declined items are handled. Do not place unsafe or prohibited goods in the household load.
Tarnaka Moving-Day Preparation and Transfer Paperwork
Ask for available dates early enough to arrange both buildings. If a weekend, holiday or urgent move is needed, confirm the crew, vehicle and permissions before treating the slot as booked. An early start helps only when the building accepts it; there is no fixed hour that saves the same time on every move.
For campus or staff-quarter addresses, ask the responsible office about goods-release authority, gate passes, lift use and collection hours. A landmark near a university does not give entry permission.
Share any current event or road-access instruction affecting your street. Confirm the vehicle approach for the booked date rather than assuming a permanent festival diversion.
During rain, keep a dry packing area and a protected carrying path. Books and files must be dry before they are sealed; extra film does not dry damp paper.
For an employee transfer, provide the employer billing name, GST details if required, approval and reimbursement paperwork before invoicing. Keep the quote, inventory and payment receipts with the applicable invoice.
Read the payment stages and any cancellation or date-change terms on the estimate before booking. Do not assume a universal advance amount or refund policy.
Comparing Packers and Movers in Tarnaka, and How a Move Runs
Public pages show prices in very different shapes, and the shape tells you what the figure means. Compare like with like.
What to compare
Compare
A comparable quote states
Scope
Home size, items, and which of packing, dismantling and unpacking are in or out
Vehicle and crew
Vehicle type and number of trips assumed
Access assumptions
Floors, lift use and where the vehicle will stand
Date and window
The date, start slot and expected unloading
Cover
Who issues it, what is excluded and how a claim is made
Extras and payment
Which extras are charged and when payment is due
Reading public prices
A marketplace listing with one starting price per home size is a floor for a straightforward move.
Check what an app entry fare includes: a vehicle trip, a small item move and a full-home packing service can have different scopes.
A page with distance bands and wide ranges shows a spread across many cases, and your inventory decides where you sit in it.
Local, intercity and vehicle figures are different services and should not be mixed.
Why ALPM for a Tarnaka move
ALPM is based in Old Bowenpally, Secunderabad. We work from an inventory and an access check, write the scope down, agree a moving window and hand over items against a list. Local, office, intercity and vehicle work are kept as separate lines so each can be checked. Ask any provider the same questions from the table above, and choose the one whose answers are clear and in writing.
How a move runs
You share the item list, both addresses, floor and lift details and your preferred date. You can send these through the quote form or on +919467186002.
We assess the inventory and access and send a written quote with the scope, vehicle, services and date.
You confirm the date and start slot and decide what you will pack yourself.
The crew packs, labels and lists items, and protects furniture.
Loading follows the planned order, checked against the list.
Goods travel, with dispatch and arrival updates for intercity moves.
Unloading and placement follow room labels, and unpacking and reassembly happen if booked.
You check delivery against the list before signing off and note any issue on the spot.
A local move within Hyderabad is usually planned as one day, with packing and loading first and unloading later the same day. A large inventory, a long carry, building-hour limits or a receiving home that is not ready can move unloading to a later slot, and that is agreed in advance.
Moving From Tarnaka to Another City, With or Without a Vehicle
The figures below are compact references for a 2 BHK household moving from Hyderabad on three corridors. They are corridor references and are not the exact distance from a Tarnaka gate. Your pickup address, destination address, inventory and any vehicle going with you all affect the quote. Packing and any consolidation before dispatch are additional to the transit time shown. All figures are indicative and are not fixed quotes.

Shared and dedicated
A dedicated vehicle is allocated to your goods, with pickup and delivery windows agreed in writing. A shared vehicle carries separate consignments on a suitable route and calendar; it can take a whole home when capacity fits. Consolidation does not mean a truck must fill first, and it happens before dispatch. A part load is simply a portion of shared capacity. For transport-only work, state who packs, loads, secures and unloads, and quote that agreed scope separately.
Vehicles on the same routes
A car or motorcycle has its own calendar, collection and delivery points, and handover. The date can differ from the household date. For the quote we need the exact make and model, whether it is an EV, modified or non-running, the carrier type available, the protection, the loading and unloading scope and cost, photos of all sides, the odometer reading, the keys and accessories. Fuel and battery preparation follow the maker’s and carrier’s instructions, with no universal rule, and RTO and ID numbers are not shared publicly.

These guides apply to the routes and models shown. A closed carrier is quoted separately and is not automatic. Carry documents, cash, jewellery and medicines personally, and ask the carrier which items are declined and what vehicle paperwork it needs.
Other intercity destinations
For a destination outside the three comparison corridors, use a route-specific plan rather than carrying over a price from this table. The Hyderabad to Bangalore guide and Hyderabad to Chennai guide explain their own route and delivery planning. Give the Tarnaka pickup and actual destination to assess the complete move.
Holding, Condition Records, Cover and Documents
These are the parts of a move that matter most when something does not go to plan, so settle them before the date.
Holding goods
If you must vacate before the new home is ready, a holding arrangement can be assessed. Before goods go in, confirm in writing the operator, the location, who holds custody, the main item numbers and separate physical package counts, their actual condition, the access arrangements, the duration, the rate, how you exit and how goods are redelivered. Confirm availability and the handling and storage charges before committing to the arrangement.
Condition records
Photograph large furniture, screens, glass and high-value pieces before packing, with the date visible.
Keep a copy of the inventory with existing marks noted against items.
At delivery, check items against the list and look at visible condition before signing.
Note damage or a missing item on the delivery paper and report it with photos under the actual booking claim terms.
Cover
Do not assume transit cover comes with a move. Ask whether any is included, who issues it, what it covers and excludes, and what a claim needs. If you want cover for specific items, ask for it in writing as a separate document. Assistance with arranging cover can be discussed at quote stage.
Documents to keep
A written quote stating scope, vehicle, date and inclusions.
The signed inventory and the delivery acknowledgement.
An invoice, and for intercity moves the goods-carrying paperwork.
For a vehicle, copies of its registration and insurance papers.
Any building permission, gate pass or society letter needed at either end.
FAQs: Moving From Tarnaka
What are the local shifting charges in Tarnaka?
As indicative local guides, a household move within Hyderabad starts around ₹5,500 for a 1 BHK, ₹8,500 for a 2 BHK and ₹12,500 for a 3 BHK. A 4+ BHK, a villa or a few-items job is assessed from the list. Final figures follow the inventory, floors and lifts, carry distance, added services and date, and GST is shown on its own line.
Why can my quote differ from these guides?
The guides are a starting point. Inventory, floors, lift access, carry distance, vehicle approach and date shape the assessed price. Compare the same packing, dismantling and unloading scope; any change should say what is included and what additional amount applies.
How much does an office move within Hyderabad cost?
As local guides, moving some office goods is around ₹4,500–₹9,500 and a complete office around ₹6,000–₹19,000. These depend on assets and building access, and are not a cap, a per-employee rate or an intercity figure. Servers, safes and industrial equipment are quoted after explicit assessment.
Can you move only a few items or a 1 RK?
Yes. A few-items job or a 1 RK is quoted from your list, photos and access details and not from a home size. Send the items with approximate sizes, floors, lift details and both addresses.
How do I move a home with many books and files?
Sort first, keeping originals, medicines, your laptop and drives with you. Number each bookcase and shelf, and label each carton with its shelf and its place, such as C2S3-1of2. Keep a three-column register covering the shelf and contents type, the carton IDs and what was recorded, and the receiving room status. Do not put file contents or sensitive references on labels.
How heavy can a book carton be?
There is no single figure. Use cartons that are strong enough, observe any marked load limit and weigh them. Smaller strong cartons with closed bases, balanced loads and void fill work better than one big carton, and the crew, equipment and route must be able to carry what you pack.
What if a carton count does not match on delivery?
Compare the labels with the inventory and the signed count at the vehicle handover, before cartons are unpacked and mixed. Report any unresolved difference to the booking contact with photos under the actual booking terms. A carton count does not show the number of books unless they were listed separately.
What should I keep with me and what goes in the first-access carton?
Keep original documents, medicines, your laptop and drives with you. Non-sensitive copies of current work can travel with you or in one marked carton that the crew accepts. It comes off first only if the loading sequence safely allows it.
When are bookshelves assembled and books put on them?
After the whole load is unloaded and placed in a safe, accepted spot. Shelves are then assembled, with anti-tip fixing or wall mounting by a suitably qualified person following the design and owner-agreed fixing plan where the design needs it. Books go onto the shelves afterwards, in register order.
How are intercity moves from Tarnaka priced and timed?
They are priced by route, home size and shared or dedicated capacity. For a 2 BHK from Hyderabad, guides run from ₹16,000–₹25,000 shared and ₹23,500–₹33,000 dedicated to Vijayawada, to ₹20,000–₹30,500 shared and ₹28,500–₹40,000 dedicated to Visakhapatnam, with Pune between them. Transit days are counted after dispatch, and packing or consolidation beforehand is additional.
Can my car or motorcycle move with the household?
Yes, on its own quote. On the Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam routes, a scooter up to 150cc is around ₹4,000–₹5,000 and ₹5,000–₹6,000, and a hatchback on an open carrier around ₹8,500–₹10,500 and ₹10,500–₹13,000. A closed carrier is quoted separately, and a vehicle has its own dates.
Is storage or transit cover included, and what documents should I get?
Neither should be assumed. Short-term holding can be assessed, with the operator, location, custody, item IDs, condition, duration, rate, exit and redelivery confirmed in writing first. For cover, ask who issues it, what it excludes and how to claim. Keep the written quote, signed inventory, delivery acknowledgement and invoice.
Can you arrange shifting from a home near Tarnaka Metro?
Yes. Share your full building address and gate pin, floor, lift and preferred date. Our base is Old Bowenpally, Secunderabad; a station landmark helps with orientation but does not identify the collection entrance or establish a branch at the station.
How is a Tarnaka to Gachibowli or HITEC City move priced?
The estimate follows the inventory, both addresses, access and packing scope. The local BHK figures are starting guides rather than a fixed destination tariff. Confirm the receiving society’s gate, lift slot and unloading window with the item list.
Can I book a Sunday, holiday or urgent move in Tarnaka?
Ask for an available slot and confirm building permissions at both ends. Crew and vehicle availability, inventory and preparation decide whether the date works. A short-notice enquiry is not a reserved slot until the booking is confirmed.
Can I get paperwork for an employer-paid transfer?
Provide the billing name, GST details if needed, estimate approval and the employer’s document requirements before invoicing. Keep the quote, inventory, receipts and applicable tax invoice. Reimbursement follows your employer’s approval and policy.
