Local shifting charges in Pragathi Nagar

These are indicative starting guides for a move that begins and ends inside Hyderabad, with loading and delivery agreed for the job. They help you budget before a quote; the written quote sets the actual figure.

Home sizeLocal starting guideWhat the guide is built around
1 BHKFrom ₹5,500A compact inventory with limited furniture, a few appliances and a modest carton count, with straightforward access at both ends.
2 BHKFrom ₹8,500Two bedrooms of furniture, a fridge, a washing machine and an average carton count, with a working lift or a short carry.
3 BHKFrom ₹12,500More wardrobes, furniture and cartons, where the number of trips between flat and vehicle starts to shape time and labour.
4+ BHK or villaAssessedPriced from a room-by-room inventory, including terraces, stores and outdoor items.
Few itemsAssessedPriced from your item list and the two addresses rather than from a BHK size.

What each guide includes

For a full-service household move, the base counts packing labour and materials, loading, road transport, unloading and any furniture dismantling and refitting you have agreed, once. GST appears as its own line on the quote, with the treatment that applies to your booking. Anything else that was assessed, such as a restricted lift or a long carry, is marked on its own line as included, extra with an amount, or not applicable. Unpacking and placement at the new home are agreed by extent: every room, or priority rooms such as the kitchen and bedrooms. If you pack part of the home yourself, the packing line in the written scope shows exactly what the crew packs.

What can lift a quote above the guide

  • Floors without a working lift, or a lift that can only be used in set slots.
  • A vehicle that has to stand far from the entrance, which lengthens every carry.
  • Heavy or delicate pieces such as glass tables, large televisions, safes and wardrobes that need to be taken apart.
  • Unpacking beyond the rooms you agreed on.
  • A weekend, month-end or last-minute date, which tend to be busier across the moving market.
  • Waiting time at the receiving address when the home is not ready.

What a usable quote states

Ask for the inventory the quote was built from, the services included and excluded, the GST line, the date and arrival window, and how a change found on the day is priced. A single number with no scope behind it cannot be compared with another number.

Pragathi Nagar addresses, layouts and goods entry

Pragathi Nagar is not a single gate or a single road. Names such as RK Enclave, Vishnu Priya Nagar, SBI Bank Colony and Prashanthi Hills help distinguish addresses described broadly as Pragathi Nagar. Your own layout or society name, building, PIN and the map pin of your goods entrance tell us far more about the move than the area name does.

Detail to shareWhy it matters
Layout or society name, block or tower, floor and PINIdentifies the exact entrance and the carry from the door to the vehicle.
Map pin of the gate goods will useThe goods entrance can differ from the resident or visitor gate.
Lift size and whether it can be booked for movingDecides whether goods go in several lift trips or by stairs, and whether long items fit the cabin.
Gate and security rules for vehicles and workersPasses, entry timing and vehicle size are set by the community, so we ask rather than assume.
Where the vehicle can lawfully and feasibly standA longer carry adds time and labour at both ends.
Readiness of the receiving homeKeys, power, cleaning and lift booking sorted before arrival avoid idle waiting.

Nearby places are different addresses

Kukatpally, KPHB, Nizampet, Bachupally and Miyapur are close, but each is its own locality with its own roads and societies. A quote comes from the actual pickup and drop address, so give the building, block and the gate you will use, not only the area. Agree an arrival window with some margin for the entry steps at your gate.

Use the layout name and actual entrance

Add Vasavi Layout, Sai Keerthi or another layout name when it appears on your address, along with the building, lane and goods gate. A JNTU or main-road landmark should be followed by the exact entrance pin and a photo of the last turn. Keep the PIN from your own property address rather than applying one postal address to every nearby building.

Society notice, stairs and lift reservations

Ask the owner or facility office about moving notice, any NOC process, vehicle passes, lift booking and protective covering. Give the actual permitted hours at both ends. Where there is no usable lift, show the stair turns, landings and low ceilings and identify the pieces on each floor. The full packed dimensions and usable lift load matter; a person-capacity label alone does not prove furniture fit.

Choosing a vehicle for the approach

Share the packed furniture sizes, carton count and known weight so the usable vehicle space, payload and carrying crew can be assessed. If the assigned vehicle cannot reach the gate, compare a permitted longer carry with a suitable smaller-vehicle leg, including every handling stage and its cost. Main-road parking or a fixed truck size is not automatic.

Local Shifting from Pragathi Nagar to Gachibowli, HITEC City and Nearby Areas

Plan from the two actual goods gates rather than a locality-centre distance. The household starting guides are an initial budget; the complete inventory, packing, access and road leg determine the quote and moving window.

Receiving plans for local moves from Pragathi Nagar
DestinationWhat to confirm before pickup
Nizampet or BachupallyExact layout, building and goods entrance, with floors, lift or stairs checked independently at both ends.
Kukatpally or KPHB ColonyPhase and actual gate, largest-item fit and the receiver’s appointment rather than a JNTU landmark alone.
Miyapur or ChandanagarThe full carrying path, permitted vehicle stop and any lift reservation at the receiving building.
Kondapur, Madhapur or HITEC CityAllow the actual road leg between both property appointments and keep carton room names consistent.
Gachibowli, Financial District or NanakramgudaTower and goods gate, receiver with keys and a window for unloading the complete ready load.
Ameerpet, Begumpet, Secunderabad or KompallyRoute allowance for the booked day and assigned vehicle alongside packing and carrying work.
Uppal, LB Nagar, Shamshabad or another cross-city addressThe full journey and receiving access, with the appointment reconfirmed if arrival changes.

For relevant receiving guidance, see Nizampet shifting details, Bachupally moving guidance or Gachibowli delivery planning. A nearby address still needs the full package and access checks.

Packing Some Rooms Yourself? Keep Carton Counts Clear at Both Ends

Many households pack clothes, books and kitchen items themselves and ask the crew to pack the fragile pieces, then load, move and unload. That works well when every carton can be told apart at the flat door, at the vehicle and at delivery. A count only tells you that something is missing; a unique ID tells you what.

Give every carton its own ID

Number each owner-packed carton with an ID that is used once, for example KIT01 to KIT12 for the kitchen, CLO01 to CLO14 for clothes and BOK01 to BOK05 for books. That is 31 cartons, and 31 is the physical count everyone checks against. Write the ID and the receiving room on the carton. Large furniture and appliances get their own parent IDs and are listed apart from the cartons. A dismantled bed, for instance, keeps one parent ID, with its panels, bundles and fittings bag counted as the physical packages beneath it.

Contents stay private, labels stay plain

Keep a private contents sheet and share the handling-relevant fragile contents with the loading lead before acceptance. Put the ID, receiving room and appropriate handling marks on the carton; avoid personal details on labels. The crew's own packing, such as glassware, mirrors, framed pictures and screens, goes on a separate list; you are not expected to pack glass yourself. Before loading, the loading lead looks at each self-packed carton and agrees whether it is accepted as packed, inspected further or repacked, and what that means for any cover you have asked about.

ID and who packed itCondition and count pointsDecision and receipt
KIT01 to KIT12, packed by youOuter condition, seal and a photo; known weight and the handling plan needed to lift it safely. Counted at the flat door, at the vehicle and at delivery.Accepted as packed, repacked or held back, noted at each point and signed off.
CLO01 to CLO14, packed by youThe same checks: lids closing flat, no bulging, nothing rattling inside.Accepted as packed or repacked, with the decision written beside the ID.
BOK01 to BOK05, packed by youThe same checks, with extra attention to weight, since book cartons are easy to overfill.Accepted, or split into lighter cartons with new IDs.
Glassware, mirror and frames, packed by the crewA separate crew list with the item count and the packing used.Receiving room and placement agreed before unloading begins.
Sofa, double bed, fridge and washing machine, each with a parent IDA condition note per item, with panels, bundles and fittings bags counted under each parent.Carry route and fit confirmed at both ends, checked off on delivery.

What the outer-condition note covers

For a carton you packed and sealed, the record describes the outside: how it looks, whether it is sealed, how it lifts and the photo. It does not verify the contents. Agree acceptance, any inspection or repacking, and the applicable cover terms before loading.

The order of the handover

  • Finish each room before starting the next, and number cartons as you close them.
  • Write the receiving room on every carton and keep the contents sheet separate.
  • Photograph the closed cartons and the large items before the crew arrives.
  • Walk the register with the loading lead, then count by ID at the flat door and again at the vehicle.
  • Agree in writing which items the crew packs.
  • At the new home, check cartons off the vehicle against the same register before unpacking begins.
  • Keep cash, jewellery, important documents and medicines with you, and declare cooking gas cylinders, flammable liquids and perishables before booking so handling can be confirmed separately.

If one carton becomes two during repacking

Suppose the loading lead finds KIT12 bulging. It can be repacked by you or by the crew. If it becomes two cartons, they are recorded as KIT12-A and KIT12-B, and the original KIT12 label is kept only as the reference for those two new packages. The total moves from 31 to 32, the change is written into the register as a mapping from the old ID to the new ones, and the materials, labour, responsibility and any change to the agreed charge are recorded once before loading. Repacking changes the count and the mapping; it is not a loss.

A hypothetical illustration

This is an example only, not a real job. A family packs KIT01 to KIT12, CLO01 to CLO14 and BOK01 to BOK05, and leaves glassware and a wall mirror for the crew. In this separate example, no owner-packed carton was split: the register shows 31 owner-packed cartons at the flat door and 31 at the vehicle. Crew-packed glassware and mirror packages have their own IDs and counts, outside that total. At the new home 30 owner-packed cartons come off, and the register shows KIT12 has not been ticked. The lead and the family look in the vehicle and in the rooms where cartons have already been placed, while the rest of the load is unloaded first rather than held up. If KIT12 turns up, it is ticked and noted. If it does not, it is recorded as unresolved with its outer-condition photo from the door, and the matter is reported under the agreed terms.

House shifting in Pragathi Nagar: apartments, gated communities and independent houses

Housing in and around Pragathi Nagar mixes apartment complexes, gated layouts and independent houses, so two homes of the same size can need very different handling. A third-floor flat with a bookable lift is a different job from an independent house with a staircase, even when the inventory looks alike. We plan from the address, not from the BHK label.

A household move can cover as much or as little as you need:

  • Inventory and access planning before the date is fixed.
  • Packing of the whole home, or only the rooms and items you choose.
  • Loading with room-by-room counts, transport and unloading.
  • Unpacking and placement to your room plan, to an extent agreed in advance.
  • Dismantling and refitting of beds, wardrobes and tables.

Choosing a service level

Full packing suits households short of time or with many delicate items. Part self-packing, where you pack clothes, books and kitchen items and the crew packs fragile pieces, loads and moves, works with the carton register above. Transport and loading only is a scope for households that have packed everything themselves; it is a different scope, not a different kind of move.

Independent houses and larger homes

Independent houses often have more outdoor and store-room items, such as cycles, garden furniture and trunks. Walk every room, terrace and store before you share your inventory so the quote covers what is actually there.

Will the large pieces fit?

Check both the fully packed piece and its separated panels, measuring width, height and depth against the door opening, the lift cabin and the stair turn or landing at both ends. A smaller vehicle does not fix a stair that a wardrobe cannot turn. Compare packed dimensions and known weight with the lift cabin dimensions and its usable load, and assess anything unknown. Where dismantling is needed, permitted by the design and agreed by the owner, panels are protected and labelled, fittings go in an item-labelled bag, and adhesives are kept off finished surfaces.

  • Before loading: if a piece will not fit, choose a workable, permitted alternative with a qualified person, a new slot, or leave that piece out of the move.
  • After loading: a piece that cannot enter at delivery waits for a later agreed moving window or a confirmed holding place instead of being abandoned or dropped from the job.
  • If a last leg needs a different vehicle, a transfer is planned only when it is assessed as permitted and workable, with the operator, location, crew, carry, unload and reload legs and cost written once, and the item IDs, count, condition and change in responsibility for the goods recorded.

Rental handover and first-night essentials

Share when the old keys must be returned and when the new home becomes available. Include loft, terrace, balcony and storage items in the survey and photograph existing marks for the handover. Agree whether cartons are placed sealed, opened or unpacked into prepared cupboards. Keep bedding, medicines, chargers, basic utensils and original documents in a personal first-night bag.

Packing, loading and unloading: what each stage covers

Each stage can be booked alone or as part of a full service. The table shows what it covers and what is worth confirming before the date.

StageWhat it coversWhat to confirm
PackingCartons and cushioning for household goods, with fragile items wrapped individually.Which rooms the crew packs and which you pack yourself.
LoadingCarrying goods from the rooms to the vehicle and arranging them securely, with counts by room or ID.Carry distance, lift use and where the vehicle will stand.
TransportMoving the goods in the vehicle arranged for the job; a local move is planned for the same day.The vehicle and the arrival window agreed for your job.
UnloadingTaking goods into the new home and into the rooms on your plan. That the receiving home is ready and who directs placement.
UnpackingOpening cartons, placing items and clearing packing material, where booked.Whether it covers every room or priority rooms only.
Dismantling and refittingTaking apart beds, wardrobes and tables and refitting them at the new home.Built-in units that may need a carpenter, and any missing fittings.

Carry cash, jewellery, original documents and medicines yourself. Keep unsafe or prohibited goods out of the household load and ask the operator how declined items are handled.

Specialist items

  • Glass, mirrors and framed pictures need cushioning and rigid protection, and a crate where it is assessed as needed. Wrapping a surface protects the finish, not the item from impact.
  • Refrigerators, washing machines and other appliances follow the maker's manual for preparation, transport position and restart. If a washing machine model uses transit bolts, they are fitted correctly for the move and removed before first use.
  • Use a television or monitor’s original box only when it is sound and has the matching protective supports. Otherwise assess cushioning plus suitable rigid screen protection or crating where needed.
  • Air conditioners (gas), electrical, plumbing, carpentry and IT work belong to a qualified technician and are planned as a separate scope from the move.
  • Ask how self-packed cartons are accepted, inspected, handled and covered, and get the answer in writing.

Few items, part loads and holding goods between homes

Not every move needs a full household quote. A single bed and wardrobe, a fridge and washing machine for a student room, a few pieces of furniture after a partial move or a handful of cartons can be moved as a few-items job. These are quoted from your item list and the two addresses.

What to send for a few-items quote

  • Each item, with an approximate size for furniture.
  • Pickup and drop addresses with building, block, floor and lift details.
  • Whether dismantling, packing or unpacking is needed.
  • Your preferred date, and whether it is flexible; a flexible date may open more options.

Holding goods between homes

If there is a gap between leaving one home and entering the next, holding can be assessed. Before anything is moved, get these written down:

  • The operator and the location that will hold the goods.
  • Who has custody, and the item IDs and count handed over.
  • The actual condition of each item on entry, and how you can access them.
  • The duration, the rate, and how the goods exit and are redelivered.

Holding is quoted as its own line and is not part of a moving quote unless it is written in.

Bachelor rooms and PG belongings

For a room near JNTU or another landmark, give the actual address and list your own bed, desk, appliances and cartons. Mark shared items that stay and name the person authorised to hand over your belongings if you are away. The vehicle and helpers follow the packed load and access rather than a fixed room package.

Office and shop relocation within Hyderabad

The guides below apply to office goods moving within Hyderabad, with the price built from the assets and access at both buildings. They are not a cap, a per-employee rate or an intercity figure.

ScopeLocal guideWhat decides where you fall in the range
Some office goods₹4,500–9,500The amount of furniture, cabinets and cartons, and the access at both buildings.
Complete office₹6,000–19,000Total furniture and equipment, how much your team packs, stair or lift access and the time window available.

Asset list and release

Work from a list of actual asset IDs with count, condition and packed size, and name who authorises the release at the old office and who receives at the new one. Labels carry the asset ID and the destination room only; passwords and file contents do not belong on a label.

IT and equipment

Back-up, disconnection, reconnection, testing, restart and power are done by your IT or maintenance contact or another qualified person you agree on, with the crew moving the equipment in between. Your IT contact decides when systems are restarted once power and network at the new site are ready. Servers, network racks, safes and industrial equipment are quoted only after an explicit assessment. Personal laptops and files stay in their owner's custody if the owner prefers, while business assets follow your office's authority.

Shop stock and fixtures are assessed from their own inventory, protection and release needs; the office guide is not a shop tariff.

Shops and showrooms

For a shop, share the stock volume, racks, counters, signage and the hours you can close. Stock resets fastest when packed in small cartons labelled by shelf or section. Moving after closing time or in a short window changes how many people and trips are planned. Agree the building's rules for moving in working hours, the lift or loading-bay slot and who signs off on each floor.

Booking around work and billing requirements

Ask about after-hours or weekend availability and obtain permission at both premises. Share the employer’s estimate, approval and reimbursement requirements before booking and confirm the billing name and applicable GST details before invoicing. Unload and place the complete ready load first, then complete the booked assembly and qualified equipment checks.

How to compare packers and movers for a Pragathi Nagar move

Listings for this area tend to look alike. One shows a single starting figure with no mention of floors or lifts. Another shows distance bands with no inventory behind them. An app-booked mini truck with a helper is a different service from a surveyed move with packing. A fair comparison needs the same scope on every quote.

Before Moving Day: Pragathi Nagar Packing and Receiving Checklist

Set the date around both properties

Enquire once your move-out and receiving dates are clear, especially for month-end, weekends or a fixed work or gruhapravesam deadline. Agree the property windows and obtain applicable advance, cancellation and rescheduling terms before payment.

Prepare the load

Finalise what moves, who packs each room and the labelled carton list. Check large-item fit at both ends and arrange qualified disconnection or refitting where needed, following model instructions. Keep valuables, medicines, originals and essential work devices with you. Do not pack unsafe or prohibited goods; ask the operator about any item you are uncertain about.

Prepare the new home and the carry

Keep selected cupboards empty, clean and dry and label the receiving rooms. Confirm the receiver’s keys, authority, permission and usable path. In rain, keep furniture dry before wrapping and cartons off wet ground, with a dry carrying path where possible. Recheck the unloading appointment if arrival changes, count packages and note any concern promptly.

How a move runs, from quote to delivery sign-off

  • Share details: addresses with society, block and floor, the inventory, your preferred date and the services you want.
  • Scope and quote: we confirm the scope against your inventory and access details and state what is included and excluded.
  • Preparation: you label rooms, complete the carton register if you are packing part of the home, and arrange gate passes or lift booking where the community requires them.
  • Move-day start: the crew walks through the home with you, records the condition of furniture and appliances and confirms what the crew packs.
  • Packing and loading: room by room, with counts by ID at the door and at the vehicle.
  • Transit: a local move goes straight to the new address, while an intercity move follows the timing in the intercity section.
  • Unloading and placement: goods go to the rooms on your plan and cartons are checked off against the same register.
  • Sign-off: you check the condition notes and the counts before the crew leaves.

Local timing

A local move is planned as a same-day job where the inventory and access allow it. A larger inventory, long carries, a lift available only in slots or a receiving home that is not ready can push loading or unloading into a second window, so confirm the plan when you book.

Before dispatch

Check that the receiver has the keys and the authority to accept the goods, that any permission the property requires is in place, that the path to the door is usable and that the agreed moving window still holds. If anything changes, recheck the expected arrival time with the team.

At the new home

Everything is unloaded safely and placed within the agreed moving window first. A priority room such as the kitchen can go first only when it fits a safe loading and unloading sequence. Unpacking comes afterwards, so no goods are left on the vehicle waiting for it.

Condition check, cover and documents

Check condition promptly after unloading and report any issue with the team's help for heavy or fragile pieces, using photos and the labels. Report as the terms of your booking state. Cover for goods in transit is a separate arrangement from the moving service, so say early if you want it. Ask what is covered, what is excluded, how value is declared, how long you have to report a problem and how a claim is made, and get those terms in writing. Keep the inventory list, the written quote and any society permissions or gate passes ready.

Moving out of Hyderabad: shared and dedicated guides for a 2 BHK

This page is mainly about local moves. If you are leaving Hyderabad, the guides below are for a 2 BHK and are Hyderabad-city corridor references, not the exact distance from a Pragathi Nagar gate. The pickup PIN, the destination, the full inventory and the vehicle all affect the final quote.

Shared and dedicated, in plain terms

A shared load travels with other consignments, and shared capacity can carry a whole home when dates and capacity fit. A part load is a portion of shared capacity, not a third kind of service. Consolidation is the planning step that matches consignments on a corridor. A dedicated vehicle carries only your goods, with pickup and delivery windows agreed for the job. Transport only describes scope, such as goods you have packed yourself, and is not a mode of its own.

CorridorAbout distanceShared guideDedicated guide
VijayawadaAbout 280 km₹16,000–25,000₹23,500–33,000

Pune4–6 days after dispatch.2–3 days after dispatch.
Visakhapatnam5–7 days after dispatch.2–4 days after dispatch.

Transit days run from dispatch. On the Pune and Visakhapatnam corridors, packing and consolidation before dispatch take additional time. These are budgeting guides, not fixed quotes. Other destinations, larger inventories and special items are quoted once the details are known.

Bangalore, Chennai and other destinations

For destination guidance, see the Bangalore moving guide, Chennai relocation details or Pune route page. Request the full destination PIN, packed inventory and mode in the estimate. Packing and shared matching before dispatch add calendar time; confirm handling costs without charging the same packing twice.

Car and bike transport from Pragathi Nagar

A vehicle moves on its own schedule, with its own collection point, date and condition record, apart from the household move. The guides apply to the selected routes and vehicle groups shown.

VehicleTo VijayawadaTo Visakhapatnam
Scooter up to 150cc₹4,000–5,000₹5,000–6,000
Bike above 150cc₹5,000–6,000₹6,000–7,500
Hatchback, open carrier₹8,500–10,500₹10,500–13,000
Sedan or SUV, carrier type to confirm₹10,500–13,000₹13,000–16,000

An enclosed carrier is quoted separately, so say at the start if you want one. Other routes and models are quoted once the model, route and collection point are confirmed.

Before the vehicle is collected

  • Confirm the exact model and the carrier availability against the carrier's own calendar.
  • Agree the collection and delivery points, which may differ from your household loading point, and the protection used, plus the loading and unloading scope and cost.
  • Photograph the vehicle on all sides, note the odometer reading and existing marks, and list the keys and accessories handed over.
  • Follow the maker's and the carrier's instructions for fuel and battery.
  • Ask which items the carrier declines and which vehicle papers it needs. Do not place unsafe or prohibited goods in the household load, and ask the operator how declined items are handled.
  • Carry your documents, cash, jewellery and medicines yourself.

FAQs: Packers and Movers in Pragathi Nagar

What are the packers and movers charges in Pragathi Nagar?
For a local move within Hyderabad, the indicative starting guides are ₹5,500 for a 1 BHK, ₹8,500 for a 2 BHK and ₹12,500 for a 3 BHK. A 4+ BHK, villa or few-items move is assessed from your inventory. Local office guides are ₹4,500–9,500 for some goods and ₹6,000–19,000 for a complete office. These cover packing, loading, transport, unloading and agreed dismantling and refitting once, with GST on its own line. The written quote sets the final figure from your inventory, access at both addresses, the services you add and the date.
Why can my quote be higher than the starting guide?
The guide assumes fairly straightforward inventory and access. A quote rises with a lift that is out of use or booked in slots, a long carry from the vehicle, heavy or delicate items that need assessment, unpacking beyond the agreed rooms, waiting at the receiving home and busy dates such as weekends and month-ends. Each assessed item is written on the quote as included, extra with an amount, or not applicable, so you can see where the difference comes from.
Do you handle moves in apartments and gated communities in Pragathi Nagar?
Yes. We plan around the society name, block and floor, lift size and booking, gate and security rules for vehicles and workers, where the vehicle can stand and how long the carry is. We ask for these before confirming a date, because the community sets entry timing and vehicle limits that we should not assume.
Can I pack some boxes myself and ask you to pack only the fragile items?
Yes. Give each carton its own ID, such as KIT01 to KIT12, and write the ID and receiving room on it. Keep a private contents sheet, share fragile-handling details with the loading lead, and put the ID, receiving room and handling mark on the box. The crew packs glassware, mirrors and similar items from a separate list. The loading lead checks each carton for lift, closure and condition, and we count by ID at the flat door, at the vehicle and at delivery. Large furniture and appliances are listed apart from the cartons.
What happens if a self-packed carton needs repacking, and how do the IDs change?
If KIT12 has to be repacked into two cartons, they become KIT12-A and KIT12-B, and the original KIT12 label becomes the reference for those two new packages. In the example with 31 owner-packed cartons, that owner-packed count rises to 32 and the change is written into the register as a mapping. The materials, labour, responsibility and any price change are recorded once before loading. The register then shows the new IDs at the door, at the vehicle and at delivery.
What if a carton is missing at delivery?
Check the register by ID to see exactly which carton is missing. Then look with the lead in the vehicle and in the rooms where cartons have already been placed, while the remaining goods are unloaded first and unpacking waits. If the carton is found, it is ticked on the register. If it is not, record it as unresolved with its outer-condition photo from the door, and report it under the agreed terms of your booking.
Do you move offices and shops within Hyderabad?
Yes. The local guides are ₹4,500–9,500 for some office goods and ₹6,000–19,000 for a complete office. They are built from the asset list and access at both buildings, not per employee, and they do not apply to intercity moves. Work from asset IDs with count and condition, and name who authorises release and who receives. Your IT contact or another qualified person handles disconnection, reconnection and restart, and servers, safes and industrial equipment are quoted after an assessment. Shop stock and fixtures are quoted from their own list rather than automatically using the office guide.
Can you move just a few items or a part load, and do you arrange holding between homes?
Yes. A few-items move is quoted from your item list, the addresses, floor and lift details, and whether dismantling or packing is needed. A flexible date may open more options. A part load uses a portion of shared capacity; a dedicated vehicle carries your goods alone, with the planned windows agreed for either option. If there is a gap between homes, holding can be assessed. You would get the operator and location, custody, item IDs and count, condition on entry, access, duration, rate, and exit and redelivery in writing. Holding is quoted separately.
How long does a local move from Pragathi Nagar take?
A local move is planned as a same-day job where the inventory and access allow it. A larger inventory, a long carry, a lift available only in set slots or a receiving home that is not ready can push loading or unloading into a second window. Confirm the plan when you book so the arrival window and the expected finish are clear.
Is an address in Nizampet, Kukatpally, KPHB or Bachupally treated as Pragathi Nagar?
No. These localities are close, but each has its own roads and societies. We quote from the actual pickup and drop address, so give the building, block, PIN and the gate you will use, not only the area name.
How much does it cost to move a car or bike from Pragathi Nagar?
There is no single price. On the selected routes shown on this page, a scooter up to 150cc to Vijayawada is ₹4,000–5,000 and to Visakhapatnam ₹5,000–6,000. A hatchback on an open carrier is ₹8,500–10,500 to Vijayawada and ₹10,500–13,000 to Visakhapatnam. Larger bikes and sedans or SUVs have their own guides. An enclosed carrier is quoted separately, and other routes and models are quoted once the details are confirmed.
What happens if something is damaged, and is transit cover included?
Condition is recorded before handling, and you check the notes and counts at both ends before signing off. If you see a problem, report it promptly as your booking terms state. Cover for goods in transit is a separate arrangement, so say early if you want it, and ask what is covered, what is excluded, how value is declared and how a claim is made, with the terms in writing. For self-packed cartons, the record describes the outside, because the contents were packed and sealed by you.
What does 2 BHK shifting from Pragathi Nagar to Gachibowli or HITEC City cost?
The indicative local 2 BHK starting guide is ₹8,500. The final quote uses the complete furniture and carton list, packing work, floors, lift, carrying distance and actual road journey. It is not a fixed price for every locality pair; share both full addresses for assessment.
What if the moving vehicle cannot enter my lane?
Send the goods-entry pin and approach photos before the quote. Compare a permitted longer carry with a suitable smaller-vehicle leg after assessing the packed load and stopping point. Agree each handling stage and its cost rather than assuming main-road parking or a fixed truck size.
Can I request a Sunday, urgent or short-notice move?
Ask about availability for the actual date and inventory and confirm the hours and access permitted at both properties. Agree the appointment before treating the enquiry as booked, and obtain the applicable advance, cancellation and rescheduling terms before payment.
What advance is needed, and can I get an invoice for reimbursement?
Obtain the payment stages and advance amount in the assessed quote before booking. Share the employer’s approval and billing requirements and confirm the billing name and applicable GST details before invoicing. ALPM’s published GSTIN is 36FDRPM0957B1ZC; the invoice reflects the actual services and tax treatment.
