These are ALPM’s guide ranges for a household move from Hyderabad to Ranchi. The written quote, based on your inventory, the floors and access at both addresses and the date, is what you pay against, not the guide.

What the base price covers

The base price covers packing labour and materials, loading, road transport, unloading, and the furniture dismantling and reassembly you agree on. Each of these is counted once.

Other work on the quote

Work that is assessed separately, such as a long carry, a staircase with no lift, or crating a fragile piece, appears on the quote once, marked as included, as an extra amount, or as not applicable. There is no automatic fee for stairs or fragile items, and nothing in the base price is charged a second time. Agree how far unpacking and placement go, because that is a separate decision from delivery.

What moves your estimate within the range

A lightly furnished flat and a home with large wardrobes, many book cartons or fragile glass tops can need different vehicle space and packing. Share the actual list, large-piece dimensions and carton count. Floors, available lifts, carrying distance and your date flexibility also affect the work. Compare both loading options for the same inventory rather than choosing from the BHK label alone.

Hyderabad and Secunderabad Pickup: Prepare the Building First

Give the actual loading address in Gachibowli, Kondapur, Madhapur, HITEC City, Kukatpally, Miyapur, Nizampet, Bachupally, Manikonda, Narsingi, Kokapet, Secunderabad, Bowenpally, Alwal, Kompally, Uppal, LB Nagar or Dilsukhnagar. Include the entrance, floor and the point where the booked vehicle can stop.

For a tower, ask the society about move-out permission, a service-lift booking, loading hours and vehicle entry. For an independent house or an older block, show the stairs, tight turns and parking space. These details determine the carrying work; a locality name does not establish the lift or truck rules for every building.

Collect any required gate pass or NOC before packing day. Confirm the packing start and finish with the coordinator against the actual inventory and permitted loading slot, rather than assuming a small flat will always take one day.

Shared, Dedicated or Part Load: Choosing the Vehicle Mode

The mode decides how your goods travel and when they leave. It changes both the price and the days after dispatch.

Shared space can carry a whole home when the capacity and dates fit, so it is not only for small loads. A part load uses a portion of shared capacity. It is priced from your item list and is not a third mode with its own band.

Transport-only is a different scope, not a mode. If you pack everything yourself and only need the goods moved, say so at the start so the quote is built for that.

Road Route, Distance and Transit Days

The driving distance from Hyderabad to Ranchi is about 1,280 km. The route selected for this page is 1,276 km via NH163. A driving check on 16 October 2026 also showed 1,297 km via NH930P and 1,370 km via NH44, and a different mapping tool or day can show slightly different figures.

These are driving distances. The same check showed about 26 hours for a passenger car, but that is not a delivery time for goods, since a goods move also includes loading, dispatch planning and unloading.

The carrier checks the suitable permitted route for the assigned vehicle using your actual pickup and delivery addresses. The final road leg can therefore differ from this city-to-city reference.

Transit days after dispatch

A car or bike has its own calendar, and an office move takes its dates from its asset plan. Neither copies the household range.

From the Survey to the Ranchi Handover

1. Survey: show the room-wise list, large-piece sizes, both addresses and photos of difficult access. Compare the agreed services and the two loading modes.
2. Packing: keep your personal travel essentials aside. Check the item protection and carton numbers, and identify any dismantled panels and matching fittings.
3. Loading: match the package count with the inventory. Agree priority items before loading, within the securing and safe stowage plan.
4. Dispatch: record when the goods leave Hyderabad and use that date to count the household transit guide. Shared consolidation before departure is a separate wait.
5. Updates: keep the shipment reference and named contact. Recheck the Ranchi receiver, keys and building appointment when the ETA changes.
6. Delivery: count packages, inspect condition and complete the agreed room placement and furniture work. Keep a copy of the handover record and report problems with package IDs and photos.

Plan your own travel separately. Carry clothes, medicines, chargers, documents, bedding and the everyday items you need while the goods are on the road. Decide where you will stay if the dispatch and your arrival are several days apart.

Company Transfer? Settle the Bill and Ranchi Gate Permission

If your employer pays for the transfer, ask two separate people two separate questions: what billing records does HR need, and what entry arrangements does the receiving property need? Settle both before booking so the invoice and the delivery work for their actual purpose.

The bill: check with HR or administration

This covers the named billing entity, the services actually agreed, the format of the GST invoice, the receipts and the consignment record. If a car or bike is part of the move, it is a separate scope and should have its own cost line.

The gate: check with the property or estate office

This covers the exact gate, who holds the keys, who has authority to receive the goods, the permission the property requires, and the slot it accepts. A gate pass does not show that your employer will reimburse anything, and an approved bill does not open a door.

A bill should describe only services actually agreed and carried out. Confirm reimbursement eligibility with your employer before booking.

If you are paying for the move yourself, you need no employer paperwork. The access side still belongs in your delivery plan.

Household Moving: Fit, Packing, Appliances and Fragile Items

Few items, 4BHK and villa moves

A few items can travel in shared capacity when the available space and dates fit, or be assessed for a dedicated vehicle if needed. They are priced from the actual list. A 4BHK or a villa is priced from a full inventory, not from a band on this page. Send room-wise lists with the larger pieces marked, so the quote reflects what will actually travel.

Will the furniture fit at both ends?

Measure the width, height and depth of each large piece fully packed, and again with its panels separated. Compare both sets with the door openings, the lift cabin width, height and depth, and the stair turns and landings at the Hyderabad and Ranchi addresses. A smaller truck does not fix a piece that cannot turn a stair landing.

Where the design allows, wardrobes and beds can be taken apart, with panels protected and labelled and fittings bagged against the right piece. Do not put adhesive directly on finished surfaces.

If a piece will not fit

Before loading, compare a suitable handling alternative, a different slot or leaving the piece out. Have qualified people assess any specialist method. If the item is already loaded, arrange a later accepted slot or confirmed holding and keep it in the handover plan.

If the last stretch needs another vehicle, check that the arrangement suits the road and the actual goods. Record who handles it, the transfer point, carrying, unloading and reloading work and the local leg. Price the work once and check package IDs, count and condition at every handover.

Holding is not automatic and is not assumed to be free. If goods must wait, confirm in writing who holds them, where, the item IDs and counts, their condition, access, the duration, the rate, the exit and the redelivery.

Packing fragile items

Cushioning absorbs knocks and a rigid outer layer or crate helps guard against compression, so glass tops, mirrors, framed pieces and similar items are assessed for both. Wrap that protects a surface finish does not protect against impact.

If you pack some boxes yourself, ask beforehand whether they will be accepted, whether they will be inspected, how they will be handled and what cover applies to them.

Appliances

Appliances need preparation for the move and a restart afterwards, both done to the model’s manual. If your washing machine model requires transit bolts, they should be fitted correctly for transport and removed before the machine is used. Work on an air conditioner’s gas, on electrics or plumbing, on carpentry beyond furniture dismantling, or on IT wiring needs a qualified person and is a separate scope with its own cost line.

Office Relocation From Hyderabad to Ranchi

Office moves are priced as their own scope. They are not a household price and they do not follow the household mode or days.

The band is set after the asset list is reviewed, not by headcount or seat numbers. Dates come from the asset plan, not from the household minimum.

What the asset list should hold

List each asset with its ID, count, condition and packed size, and name who authorises the release at Hyderabad and who receives at Ranchi. This is what the item handover is checked against.

IT and restart

Back up data before the move. Disconnecting, reconnecting, testing and restarting power-sensitive equipment should be done by a qualified person and agreed in advance. Servers, safes and industrial equipment need an explicit assessment before they are quoted. Do not expect a fixed restart time for IT systems, because that depends on the equipment and the site.

Personal items and files

Laptops and personal files can stay with their owners if the owner chooses. Business assets follow the authority of the office. Do not write passwords, file contents or sensitive details on labels.

Car and Bike Transport on This Route

A car or bike has its own quote and its own collection and delivery calendar. It is not added to the household price and does not follow household days.

The cc bands are a capacity guide. The exact model, packed size and weight decide the price, and not every bike above 150cc is automatically treated as heavy or crated. The hatchback or small-car row assumes an open carrier. Confirm the carrier arrangement for a sedan or SUV; premium enclosed transport is assessed separately.

What to prepare

Fuel level, mirror folding, lashing and crating follow the maker’s and the carrier’s instructions for your vehicle. There is no single rule. Ask the carrier which vehicle papers it wants, and agree a suitable way to provide the required copies.

On collection, photograph all sides, the odometer reading, the keys and any accessories. Confirm the collection and delivery points, the protection used, and the cost of loading and unloading. Do not leave heavy or unsafe goods inside the vehicle, and ask the carrier what it declines.

Documents and longer-term use in Jharkhand

Keep RC, valid insurance, applicable PUC and booking-person ID ready for the carrier’s checklist, with originals retained by you. If the vehicle will remain in Jharkhand, check the current local transport-office requirements for its registration category, reassignment, NOC and tax separately from the carrier booking.

Ranchi Delivery: Kanke Road, Harmu, Bariatu, Doranda and More

Kanke, Namkum, Argora, Hatia, Doranda, Hinoo and Morabadi are names people use for parts of Ranchi, but a quote cannot be set from the name alone. What decides the work is the exact address: the gate, the floor, lift or stairs, the path from where the vehicle stops to the door, and who is there to receive. Two addresses in the same area can need different handling, so ALPM asks for the full address instead of applying an area rate.

Before dispatch

• The receiver is named and the keys are available.
• The receiver has authority to accept the goods.
• Any permission the building or campus requires is in place.
• The path for the vehicle is usable, and the door, lift and stair sizes are measured.
• The delivery slot is accepted by the property.
• Everything is rechecked if the expected arrival changes.

Order of delivery

Ask for a first room only if the unloading order can safely allow it. The first aim is to get every item safely unloaded and placed inside the accepted slot. Unpacking can follow later, and no goods should stay on the vehicle because unpacking is not finished. Agree how far placement and unpacking go, for example boxes placed in rooms and furniture reassembled, or contents also unpacked.

Give the locality and the actual entrance

For Kanke Road, Morabadi, Bariatu, Lalpur, Harmu, Ashok Nagar, Argora, Ratu Road, Hinoo, Doranda, Hatia, Dhurwa or Namkum, add the street, apartment or house, floor and gate pin. For an address on the BIT Mesra or Ormanjhi side, state the actual destination and its entrance; an institution name alone may point to the wrong building or residence.

Ask whether the receiving property needs a gate pass, vehicle details or a goods-lift appointment. Send photos of the truck approach and any podium, stair turn or narrow landing. Check power and water before arrival, while keeping appliance restart subject to the model instructions and any qualified work agreed separately.

Ranchi Rain, Winter Essentials and a Fixed Moving Date

• June–September rain: pack dry goods and arrange a covered carrying point. Ask the receiver to check the approach and unloading surface near arrival. Outer film does not make a damp carton dry.
• Winter: keep warm clothes and bedding in your personal bag if you arrive before the household load. Choose a receiving slot accepted by the building and crew rather than leaving the appointment to the last minute.
• Hot-weather departure: carry medicines and temperature-sensitive essentials with you. Ask about suitable handling for anything that cannot tolerate ordinary road-transport conditions.
• Month-end or festivals: enquire a week or two ahead where possible, earlier for an inflexible date around a joining deadline, Dussehra, Diwali or Chhath. Confirm actual availability and the Ranchi receiving window.

What to carry yourself
