A Kapra move can start from a colony house, an apartment around A.S. Rao Nagar, or a shop with stock and racks to shift. Tell us which property and which entrance, rather than only giving ECIL or another area landmark. Agarwal Logistics Packers and Movers (ALPM) plans the vehicle, packing and carrying work around your actual goods and both addresses.
Local household guides start from ₹5,500 for 1 BHK, ₹8,500 for 2 BHK and ₹12,500 for 3 BHK for straightforward moves in Kapra and surrounding colonies. Few-item, larger-home and cross-city requests are assessed from their own inventory and access. Below are the costs, nearby-area checks, shop-stock handover guidance and outstation options.

The survey checks these details when setting your final estimate:
Floors without a lift, and how far the crew must carry goods between the door and the vehicle.
Heavy or bulky pieces such as double-door wardrobes, large sofas, a refrigerator and a washing machine.
How much of the home the crew packs, compared with how much you have already boxed yourself.
Furniture that has to be taken apart and refitted, and a second address with its own entrance difficulties.
A move of only a few items, such as one bed and a washing machine, is not read off the table. Send the item list and both addresses so it can be quoted for its actual scope.
Kapra, AS Rao Nagar and Nearby Areas: Plan the Actual Address
Kapra colony or village-side address
For a house described by Kapra village, a lake-side landmark or a colony name, add the lane, house number and loading gate. Photograph any tight turn and show the distance from the proposed stopping point to your door. Do not assume the street is inaccessible merely because it is an older area; assess the chosen vehicle against the actual approach.
AS Rao Nagar, Sainikpuri and Kushaiguda
For an apartment, named colony or shop, check the entry and moving hours with its own association or owner. Share the block, service-lift size and booking if there is one. A shop-front pickup also needs somewhere the vehicle can stand without blocking access. The existing Kushaiguda guide below is useful when that is the actual pickup address; a nearby ECIL landmark is not the home’s entrance.
Moula Ali, HB Colony and the Cherlapally side
For staff quarters, an independent house or an office, confirm the full property and authorised receiver. Measure the largest packed piece against the stairs and landing instead of assuming all quarters have the same fit. If a home or office towards Cherlapally, Nagaram or Dammaiguda is newly ready, check the working lift, approach and utilities before fixing the delivery. Company assets or workshop equipment need their own inventory and assessed scope.
Comparing local destinations from Kapra
What to check for a local or cross-city move from Kapra
Destination enquiry
Planning detail to settle
Malkajgiri, Tarnaka or Uppal
Both exact addresses, the gate approach and enough time to complete loading and unloading within the permitted hours
Secunderabad, Alwal or Bowenpally
The correct entrance and side of the road, receiver with keys, lift or stair fit and vehicle standing point
Kukatpally, Kompally or western Hyderabad
Assess the city road leg alongside packing finish, the destination tower or lane and the complete unloading duration
Gachibowli, Hitech City or Madhapur
The named tower and goods gate, service-lift reservation and a receiving window that fits the assessed road journey
For relevant destination preparation, use the Alwal moving guide or Gachibowli apartment guide when those are your drop areas. A cross-city quote uses the two actual pins. It is not a fixed kilometre band from ECIL X Roads, and a short drive does not guarantee a half-day move.
What a Kapra quote should cover
A useful quote can be read line by line, and each line should appear once. Ask for any that are missing.
The base of the quote
Packing labour and packing materials for the rooms or items agreed.
Loading at the pickup address.
Road transport.
Unloading at the delivery address.
Dismantling and refitting of the furniture agreed at the survey.
Written separately
The quote should state the applicable GST treatment and show how it affects the payable total.
Other assessed work, such as air-conditioner removal and refitting, special crating, a second trip, storage or a closed car carrier, is written as included, as an extra with an amount, or as not applicable. It should not be left unmentioned.
Stairs, long carries and fragile packing are assessed in the scope itself. They are not added as an automatic fee on top of a base that already allows for them, and nothing is charged twice.
Delivery and unpacking: name the agreed handover point, the carry into the premises, room placement and whether boxes are opened. A transport-only handover needs a clear plan for the remaining carrying work.
Payment terms: the advance, the balance and when each is due, as written on your quote or booking.
Transit cover is a separate decision. If you want it, it should have a declared value and its own line on the paperwork, and you should hold the written conditions before the move. Those conditions, not a verbal summary, are what the cover rests on.
Kapra addresses: names, landmarks and the gate that counts
People use Kapra for a wide stretch of north-east Hyderabad. Kushaiguda, A.S. Rao Nagar, Sainikpuri and ECIL may also appear in an address or in how someone describes it. An address can be correctly called Kapra and still sit in a different part of the area from another address with the same label, so the locality name alone does not set the quote.
Near ECIL is a useful area landmark, but the crew still needs your building and loading entrance. ECIL lists its Admin Building address and factory main gate separately; a familiar destination name can still lead to different entrances. Send the map pin for your actual gate, your own postal PIN and a photo of the approach. If the vehicle must stop elsewhere, identify that point too.
When you ask for a quote, send:
The colony or block name and the house, flat or shop number, as written on your address proof.
The road and the nearest junction or landmark.
The pin code for both the pickup and the delivery address.
Whether the building is gated, and which entrance a vehicle would use.
The floor, and whether there is a lift or only stairs.
Kapra has apartment blocks, independent houses and shop frontages, and a quote assumes neither a narrow lane nor a high-rise. The survey of the actual address sets the access.
Apartments
We ask whether there is a working lift and how large it is, how many flights remain if there is none, and where a vehicle can stop in relation to the entrance. Some buildings have rules on move timings, lift use or deposits and some have none. The building office or association is the one to ask, and it is worth asking before the date is fixed.
Independent houses
The questions are the width of the gate, how close the vehicle can come, and the staircase. External stairs, internal stairs with a turn and a narrow upper-floor door each change how a bed, sofa or wardrobe is carried.
Shops and ground-floor premises
A shop usually loads from the road. The points to settle are where the vehicle can stand without blocking traffic, whether the shutter opens wide enough for racks and counters, and during which hours the shop can be left empty.
A piece that clears the front door can still fail at a staircase turn or inside a small lift. Check the route at both the pickup and the delivery address, not only the one you know best.
Measure the packed piece and the separated parts
For each large item, note the width, height and depth of the full piece as it will be carried once wrapped. If it can be separated, note the same three measurements for the largest panel. Compare both sets with the door opening, the lift cabin width, height and depth, the stair turn and the landing at each end. Tell us the tightest point on the route.
A smaller truck does not solve a stair problem, because the difficulty is on the way from the door to the vehicle and not inside the vehicle.
Dismantling
Dismantling is planned only where the design of the piece permits it. Panels are protected and labelled, screws and fittings go into a labelled bag, and tape is kept off the finished surface. The time for taking apart and refitting is part of the quote.
Illustrative example, not a recorded job: a 2 BHK on the third floor of a block whose lift is too small for a wardrobe. If its construction permits dismantling and the wrapped panels clear the stairs at both ends, the agreed plan could include separating, carrying and refitting it. If the panels still do not fit, another feasible handling plan must be settled before loading. Include the assessed work in the quote once.
If a piece still will not go
Decide this before loading. The options are a suitable permitted alternative with qualified help, a new slot, or leaving the piece out of the move. What happens if a problem appears at the receiving end after loading is covered in the receiving section below.
Household and few-item moves: how a Kapra move runs
ALPM handles household moves from a 1 BHK to larger homes and villas. It also takes small loads, such as a bed, a refrigerator and a washing machine, priced from the list of items. Services around the move include packing and unpacking, loading and unloading, and dismantling and refitting of beds, wardrobes, modular units and tables. Appliances such as refrigerators, washing machines and televisions are packed and moved. Fixed appliances such as air conditioners need separate removal and refitting that is assessed case by case.
The sequence is much the same for most households:
You send both addresses and an inventory. The survey is a visit, or room-by-room photos and a short video where a visit is not practical. For larger homes a visit is better.
The survey fixes the crew size, the vehicle, the packing needed, any dismantling, and the carry at both ends.
You receive a written quote listing those items, and you choose the date.
On the day, packing comes first, either the day before for a very full home or on the same morning. Loading follows against the inventory, with fragile and high-value items noted.
For a local move the vehicle goes straight to the new address. Unloading, placement, refitting and unpacking follow as far as was agreed.
You check the delivered items against the inventory before the crew leaves.
A straightforward local move can be planned within one working day. Inventory, access and any extra trips set the booked schedule. You can reach ALPM on +91 94671 86002 for a quote.
Packing, materials and appliance preparation
Good packing matches the protection to the risk. Fragile items need cushioning and rigid protection, and a crate where the survey finds one is needed. Wrapping that protects a surface finish from scuffs is not the same as protection against impact, so glass tops, mirrors and screens are not treated as covered by wrap alone.
Packing some things yourself
You can pack part of the home and let the crew handle the rest, and the quote reflects it. If you self-pack, ask three things in advance: whether the crew will inspect the boxes before loading, how they will be handled, and how any cover treats goods packed by the customer. It usually makes sense to leave glassware, mirrors and screens to the crew and to keep documents and jewellery with you.
Appliances
Preparing and restarting an appliance should follow the manual for your model. Some washing machines have transit bolts that must be fitted correctly for the move and removed before first use, but check whether yours has them. Air-conditioner gas work, electrical work, plumbing, carpentry and IT setup are separate scopes handled by qualified people, and the quote should say who does them.
Shop stock handover: counting cartons versus counting stock
A Kapra shop move has two different things in it: the stock you sell and the fixtures you sell it from. They are packed, counted and checked differently, so list them separately.
Shop stock, racks and fixtures at handover
What is moving
Packing and counting responsibility
Receipt and check
Stock for sale
Agree an item list with quantities. The person who packs creates the carton IDs. Agree whether the crew only seals and numbers cartons or also counts items into each one.
Carton count and condition against the carton IDs on delivery. Your own person then unpacks and reconciles the contents against the list.
Counters and racks
Separated only where the design permits, with panels labelled and fittings bagged.
Piece count and condition, with refitting scope as agreed.
Fixed fixtures and equipment
Confirm which fixtures are authorised to move and which stay. List approved pieces individually; agree any specialist removal, disconnection and reconnection.
Item and condition. Restart is done by the qualified person.
A short checklist
Agree a last-sales cutoff if your business needs one.
Freeze the stock list with item names and quantities.
Number the cartons and keep a carton list by ID.
On delivery, check the carton count and carton condition and record them.
Unpack, and reconcile the contents against the frozen list.
Counting cartons does not count stock. A carton count acknowledged at delivery shows that the cartons arrived and in what condition. It does not verify what is inside them.
Illustrative example only, not a recorded job: a shop lists 40 units of one item across two cartons, IDs C1 and C2. Two cartons arriving in good condition confirms the carton count. It does not show that all 40 units are inside, which is found when your staff unpack and reconcile against the list.
If your staff packed the cartons, the contents count is theirs. If the crew packed from your list, the receiving check follows what was agreed about counting. Any exception should be noted promptly and raised under the terms of your booking. Keep the stock list, packing responsibility and receiving notes with your booking records.
Office and shop moves from Kapra
For an office or shop, plan both the goods movement and the day the business needs to restart. An upper-floor office, an independent unit and a ground-floor shop can need different access arrangements. The local price guide below is assessed against the actual furniture, equipment and carrying work.

These bands are a guide for local moves within Hyderabad. They are not a guarantee for any particular shop. Specialist IT or technician work is assessed separately, and a move to another city is quoted separately from these local figures.
Shop front or office floor
For a shop using a shutter entrance, check counters, shelving, signage and stock against the opening. The plan covers where the vehicle stands, whether the shutter opens wide enough, which items go first and how long the shop stays closed. An office floor has more desks, partitions, cabling and files, and the plan is about labelling and sequence.
Restarting on a workday
Prepare an asset list with IDs, count, condition and packed size, and state who may authorise release and who receives at the new address.
Have the responsible business or IT person back up the data before equipment is disconnected. Disconnection, reconnection, testing and restart of computers and phones are done by a qualified person you agree on, and the restart timeline follows what that person says is safe.
Servers, safes and industrial equipment need an explicit assessment before they are included.
Choose who carries personal devices and essential work equipment. Business assets follow the business’s release and receiving authority.
Label every desk, cabinet and carton with its destination. Do not write passwords or file contents on labels.
Settle whether delivery is a road-side handover or a placement room by room.
Moving out of Kapra to another city
A local move can use one crew and one vehicle with the two addresses planned together. A move to another city is a dispatch: the load leaves Kapra, travels for one or more days and is unloaded somewhere you may not be standing. The vehicle mode, the timing and the coordination of unloading all change as a result.

The price basis is a 2 BHK on the Hyderabad city corridor, shown as a reference. It is not the exact distance from a Kapra gate. Your pickup pin, the destination address, the full inventory and the vehicle decide the actual routing and quote.
Shared and dedicated
A shared move uses consolidated capacity and may suit a few items or a complete home when space and dates fit. A dedicated vehicle is allocated to your goods. Compare the available loading, dispatch and delivery windows before booking either option; allow for packing and any shared-load consolidation before dispatch. The transit estimates in the table start after dispatch.
A part load is a portion of shared capacity, not a third mode. Transport-only is a service scope that can apply to either mode; specify who packs, loads and unloads. Before the vehicle leaves, agree who unloads, who receives and when the receiving address will be ready.
Scooter, bike and car transport from Kapra
A vehicle is planned on its own calendar. It may travel on a different date from the household goods, in a different carrier, and be collected from an agreed gate or roadside point, because a carrier often cannot stand at a house door.

Condition record and handover
Confirm the carrier, protection, loading/unloading scope and both handover points before booking. At pickup, take photos of all sides, record existing marks, note the odometer reading, keys handed over and any agreed accessories. Check the same record at delivery. Fuel and battery handling should follow the maker’s and the carrier’s instructions, and there is no single rule for every vehicle. Ask the carrier what items it will not carry and which vehicle paper copies it needs. Do not use the vehicle to carry heavy goods, and keep documents, cash, jewellery and medicines with you.
Receiving, delivery checks and holding
Before dispatch or arrival
Confirm that the receiver has the keys and the authority to accept goods, that any required property permission is in place, that the path from the vehicle is usable, and that the slot is accepted. Recheck if the estimated arrival time changes.
At unloading
Priority to a first room applies only where the safe load and unload sequence allows it. The aim is that all goods are safely unloaded and placed within the agreed unloading time first. Unpacking can follow later, but goods should not be left on the vehicle.
If a piece cannot go in after loading
Once goods are loaded, a piece is not abandoned or dropped from the move at the far end. The options are a later agreed unloading time or a confirmed storage or holding plan. A transfer to another vehicle or a local leg is used only where it is assessed, permitted and workable, with the operator, location, crew, carry, unloading, reloading and the local-leg scope and cost each stated once. Record item IDs, count, condition and the change of custody.
Holding
Holding should be confirmed in writing, including the operator, the location, who has custody, item IDs and count, the actual condition and access, the duration, the rate, the exit terms and how redelivery happens. Settle these arrangements before relying on storage between the two addresses.
Checking and recording
Agree an inventory before loading, with high-value items listed individually, and keep date-stamped photos of valuable, fragile or marked items.
At delivery, check boxes and furniture against the inventory before the crew leaves, and inspect priority fragile items where safe, with suitable help for heavy pieces.
Photograph damage and the labels, and report it promptly in writing. Use the reporting process and time limits in your booking and any cover terms.
Keep jewellery, cash, original documents, medicines and essential device chargers with you, along with the keys and access cards for both addresses.
Choosing Your Kapra Moving Date and Preparing a Transfer Claim
Sunday, month-end or a griha-pravesam time
Tell the booking contact your preferred date and any fixed entry or handover time, then check the actual availability and both properties’ moving rules. For a muhurtham, explain whether the fixed time is for entering the home or completing delivery. Any separate essentials trip needs its own agreed arrangement; priority cartons still follow a safe loading and unloading order.
Give an alternative slot if you can. The best start depends on packing volume, the pickup gate, current road conditions and the destination’s hours, not a universal 7 am rule. Check the timing before paying an advance and get the revised price and rescheduling terms if your plans change.
Rain and rented-house handover
Keep a dry place for packing and a protected carry to the vehicle when rain affects the move. Dry appliances and upholstery before wrapping. Recheck the new home’s approach if conditions change, and agree a revised receiving time where necessary. Photograph the empty rented property and meter readings, check shelves and lofts, and keep the key-handover record with you.
Employer or government-transfer paperwork
If an employer reimburses the move, ask its admin team for the required invoice name, approval and documents before booking. Share that requirement with ALPM and request the quotation, inventory, applicable invoice and payment receipt for the agreed work. A posting or workplace near ECIL does not establish where your home delivery should go or authorise release of business equipment. Keep employer approval separate from the property’s entry permission and the asset list.
How to choose Kapra movers and what ALPM offers
Quotes that sound alike on a phone call often differ in what they leave out. This comparison shows what separates a quote you can rely on from one that only gives a number.

Kapra House, Shop and Vehicle Moving FAQs
How much do packers and movers charge for a local move in Kapra?
Indicative starting figures are ₹5,500 for a 1 BHK, ₹8,500 for a 2 BHK and ₹12,500 for a 3 BHK. They are starting points for a straightforward household move, not a ceiling or fixed rate. The estimate accounts for stairs or lift access, the carrying distance, bulky furniture and the packing required at both addresses; work already included should not be charged again. Larger homes, villas and a few items are priced from the inventory.
Does the price change for Kushaiguda, ECIL, A.S. Rao Nagar or Sainikpuri addresses?
The same starting figures are the reference for the Kapra area, but the quote is set by the actual address and not by the locality name. The colony or block, the entrance, the floor and where a vehicle can stand matter more than the neighbourhood name on the address. A landmark such as ECIL does not identify which gate a vehicle should use, so send the pin code and entrance details.
What should I send to get an accurate quote?
Send the pickup and delivery addresses with colony or block, road, nearest junction and pin code. Add the floor and lift details at each end, a room-by-room list of furniture and appliances, and any item you doubt will fit through a door or stairway. For larger homes, a survey visit gives the most reliable quote, and photos with a short video work where a visit is not practical.
How long does a local move within Kapra take?
A straightforward local household move can be planned within one working day. A very full home or one with a lot of dismantling may need packing the day before. Inventory, access and any extra trips set the booked schedule, so the survey decides this more than the BHK size alone.
Will my sofa or wardrobe fit through my stairs or door?
Measure the width, height and depth of the packed piece and of its largest separated panel, then compare them with the door opening, the lift cabin, the stair turn and the landing at both addresses. Tell us the tightest point. Pieces whose design allows it are taken apart, labelled and refitted, and that time is in the quote. A smaller truck does not help with a stair that is too tight.
Can you move a shop or office in Kapra, and what does it cost?
Yes. As a local Hyderabad guide, some office goods relocation is ₹4,500–9,500 and complete office shifting is ₹6,000–19,000. These bands come from the local inventory guide, not from a seat count, and they are not a guarantee for any particular shop. A Kapra shop or office quote is set after a survey of the actual assets and access, specialist IT work is assessed separately, and a move to another city is quoted separately.
How are shop stock and carton counts handled?
List stock, counters, racks and fixed fixtures separately. For stock, agree the item list and quantities, and whoever packs creates the carton IDs. On delivery, the carton count and condition are checked against those IDs. Your own person then unpacks and reconciles the contents. A carton count confirms that cartons arrived, not what is inside. Note any exception promptly under your booking terms.
Can I pack some things myself and let you handle the rest?
Yes. Tell us which rooms or items you will pack and the quote reflects it. Ask in advance whether the crew will inspect self-packed boxes, how they will be handled and how any cover treats them. It usually makes sense to leave glassware, mirrors and screens to the crew and to keep documents and jewellery with you.
How is moving from Kapra to another city different from a local move?
A shared move uses consolidated capacity, while a dedicated vehicle is allocated to your goods. Compare the loading, dispatch and delivery windows before booking. Packing and any consolidation happen before dispatch; the route transit estimates begin after dispatch. Agree who unloads, the named receiver, entrance access and the receiving slot at the destination.
Can a scooter, bike or car travel separately from my household goods?
Yes. A vehicle is planned on its own calendar and may be collected from an agreed gate or roadside point instead of the house. As route references from Hyderabad, a scooter up to 150 cc is ₹4,000–5,000 to Vijayawada and ₹5,000–6,000 to Visakhapatnam, and a hatchback on an open carrier is ₹8,500–10,500 and ₹10,500–13,000 respectively. Another route, model or a closed carrier is quoted separately.
Do you offer storage if my move dates do not line up?
Storage can be assessed where there is a gap between leaving one address and entering the next. It is quoted separately from the move, and it should be confirmed in writing with the operator, the location, who has custody, the item IDs and count, the duration, the rate and how redelivery happens. It is not assumed to be free or automatic.
What should I keep with me, and what if something arrives damaged?
Keep jewellery, cash, original documents, medicines, keys and access cards with you, and decide who carries essential personal devices. At delivery, compare the item and carton counts with the inventory and inspect condition where safe, with help for heavy or fragile pieces. Photograph and record discrepancies promptly, and follow the reporting process and time limits in your booking and any cover terms.
Can I enquire about a pickup in Moula Ali or on the Cherlapally side?
Share the complete property, entrance pin, floor and loading requirements along with the destination. The booking assessment confirms availability, vehicle approach and scope for the exact addresses. Workplace or colony names alone do not establish the receiving gate.
How should I plan a Kapra to Gachibowli or Hitech City move?
Plan packing and departure against the destination tower’s goods-entry and lift hours, using both actual addresses. The road leg is only part of the job. Agree the full loading-and-unloading window for your inventory rather than assuming a fixed one-day or driving-hour figure.
Can I book on a Sunday or a griha-pravesam date?
Ask about availability for your preferred date and check both properties’ rules. Explain which time is fixed and whether you need a separately arranged essentials trip. Confirm the slot before booking rather than assuming Sunday or a muhurtham time is always available.
Will I get documents for a transfer reimbursement claim?
Send the employer’s invoice-name and document requirements before booking. Request the approved quotation, inventory, applicable invoice and payment receipt for the agreed service. Your employer decides acceptance, so confirm its format and approval process separately.
