Hyderabad to Khammam moving cost and timing at a glance

Khammam is about 200 km from Hyderabad by road. For planning, the indicative budget for a 1 BHK is between ₹11,500 and ₹13,500, a 2 BHK between ₹14,500 and ₹17,500, and a 3 BHK between ₹18,500 and ₹22,500. A same-day arrival is possible when packing, dispatch and the receiving window at Khammam all line up. Otherwise, plan for one to two days after the vehicle leaves Hyderabad.

The distance rarely decides the price on its own. The inventory, the access at both ends and the exact delivery address do. Confirm the destination early, because Khammam city, a nearby town and a place in another district are three different jobs.

The route and what the distance does and does not tell you

The usual direction is out through Hyderabad city roads onto NH65, the Hyderabad–Vijayawada highway. From there the route continues on the New Suryapet–Khammam highway, which maps label NH365BB. The final approach, such as Timber Market Road or the Kodad–Khammam road, depends on the actual receiving address.

Treat that as orientation, not a fixed truck path. The main option is about 200 km. Maps also show alternatives of roughly 212 km via NH365BB and roughly 222 km via NH930P and NH563. The carrier chooses the actual route when your job is assessed, based on the vehicle, tolls, road works and your delivery address. We do not treat a detour through Warangal or Bhadrachalam as a normal part of this move.

Why a passenger-car drive time is not the length of your move

A map check for a passenger car on 16 October 2026 showed about 3 hours 41 minutes of driving. That is a snapshot for a car. It is not a goods-delivery time and not a loaded-vehicle arrival estimate. A loaded vehicle is a different case, and the drive is only one part of the day. Packing, dismantling, loading, waiting for the vehicle, unloading and placing furniture sit on either side of it.

Packing and load consolidation should finish before the vehicle is dispatched, not on the road. Each vehicle, including a car or bike going by a separate carrier, has its own calendar, so the household load and the vehicles may not travel together.

Which Khammam: city, nearby towns and onward districts

Khammam city is one destination. Madhira, Sathupalli and Wyra are separate towns. The official Khammam district page lists each of them as its own municipality, with its own roads and approaches. A quote written for an address inside the city does not automatically stretch to them, and we do not assume one PIN code covers an entire town.

Kothagudem and Bhadrachalam are a different case. The official Kothagudem district page says Bhadradri Kothagudem was formed from the erstwhile Khammam district. Its headquarters is Kothagudem town, and it has two revenue divisions, Kothagudem and Bhadrachalam. Some people still describe those places as Khammam district, but the address now belongs to a different district. That changes the route, the vehicle plan and the scope of the quote.

• The district.
• Which entrance a truck can actually use: main gate, service lane, gated-community gate or an internal road.

Locality details for a Khammam city address

For Wyra Road, ZP Centre, Nehru Nagar, Kaviraj Nagar, Rotary Nagar, Mamillagudem, Raparthi Nagar, Khanapuram Haveli, the Yellandu Road side or another colony, give the street, house or flat number, floor and goods-entrance pin. Add the receiver and where the vehicle can stop.

Check the actual lane, gate, lift cabin and stair turns for large packed pieces. If a transfer or extra carry is needed, agree the operator, handling and cost before dispatch. A locality name does not by itself establish vehicle access or the final price.

Goods going to two receiving points

Some moves do not end at one door. A family may settle its household in Khammam while a few selected pieces continue to a relative's home in Madhira, or to a different town or district. That is a separate assessed route and a split-drop request, not an automatic part of a Khammam city quote. We do not assume that every route passes through Khammam city, or which drop comes first. The carrier confirms whether a route order is feasible.

Fill in a drop manifest before loading

A short manifest, filled in by you and checked against the inventory, keeps two drops from turning into confusion on the road.

Label cartons by destination and room, for example B kitchen. Do not write file contents or passwords on any label. If a receiver is missing at the second point

A missing receiver does not mean the goods are left with whoever is standing at the first point. The owner has to accept that arrangement. Loading, unloading, unpacking and placing

Loading effort depends on the floor, the lift, how far the carry is and whether large furniture has to be dismantled first. At Khammam, goods are unloaded against the inventory. Agreed furniture reassembly belongs in the base scope. Confirm whether carton unpacking and room-wise placement are included, and the amount for any additional work.

Ordinary office moves

We plan moves of ordinary office physical assets such as desks, chairs, storage units, computers and files, based on an inventory with IDs and counts. Special equipment is covered in its own section below.

Car and bike

Cars and two-wheelers can be arranged alongside the household move. Prices and the points to confirm are in the vehicle section.

Conditional holding

Holding goods for a period is not part of a house-shifting quote by default. It is arranged only when a holding operator and location are confirmed, and it is quoted separately. The terms are in the receiving section.

What the written price should state

Compare the services and handling against the same inventory and addresses. The base scope for a household move is:

• Packing labour and packing materials.
• Loading.
• Road transport from Hyderabad to the confirmed Khammam address.
• Unloading at the delivery address.
• Furniture dismantling and reassembly as agreed.
• GST, shown on a separate line.

For every other requirement that the assessment turns up, such as a long carry, an extra floor, a fragile item that needs a crate or a part of the load going to a second address, the quote states one of three things: it is included, it carries an extra amount, or it is not applicable. What to confirm for each vehicle

• The exact make and model, and whether it runs.
• The carrier's availability and calendar for your date.
• The collection point and the delivery point.
• What protection is used, and whether loading and unloading are included or extra.
• Photos of all sides and the odometer reading at handover, plus keys and accessories.
• Any fuel, battery or other preparation the maker or the carrier asks for. We do not apply a universal fuel level or a no-objection-certificate rule.

A hypothetical budget, worked through

At about 200 km, driving your own car is a real option. Put your own numbers side by side with the carrier's written quote for your date:

• Your fuel and toll costs for the drive.
• The hours the drive will take on a day that is already busy.
• How the driver gets back, or who the second person is.
• The carrier's availability, because its calendar is independent of your household load and the car may not arrive the same day.

One practical question helps settle it: can the car be ready, and can someone be free to drive it, on the day the household goes? If the answer is no, compare a carrier’s confirmed dates with your alternative driving arrangement.

Furniture, appliances and fragile items

Check fit at both ends before moving day

Measure each large piece twice. Measure the whole packed piece, and also every separated panel by width, height and depth. Compare those with the door opening, the lift cabin dimensions, the stair turn and the landing at both ends. A smaller truck does not fix a stair that a wardrobe cannot turn, so a piece that does not fit is better found out before loading.

Dismantling

We dismantle only what the design permits. Panels are labelled, fittings are bagged and identified with the matching furniture without adhesive on finished surfaces, and the agreed reassembly is done at Khammam once. Furniture that cannot be taken apart safely travels whole, and the access check decides whether it can reach the room.

Fragile items and finishes

Fragile items need cushioning and suitable rigid protection; a crate may be required after assessment. Finish protection for polished or glossy surfaces is a different matter from packing against breakage, and the quote should say which is included.

Appliances

Preparation and restart instructions depend on the manufacturer’s manual for the model. A washing machine may need its transit bolts fitted, and a refrigerator may need to stand upright and rest before it is restarted. Work on air conditioners, gas lines, electrical points, plumbing, carpentry and IT cabling needs a qualified person and is quoted as a separate scope. We do not include it by default.

Ordinary office assets

For an ordinary office, the inventory lists asset IDs and counts, the actual condition, and the packed size of each group. Whoever releases the items and whoever receives them at Khammam should be named, with the authority to sign.

• IT equipment: take your own backup before the move. Your own IT person, or a qualified one, disconnects, reconnects, tests and restarts the systems. Power work is separate.
• Special equipment: servers, machinery, safes and business stock need an explicit assessment before they are quoted. They are not covered by the ordinary office budget.

If a government, bank or other employer is paying, ask HR or accounts which estimate format, invoice name, billing and GST details, payment evidence and transport records it needs. A same-day arrival depends on what is assessed for your move: the scope of packing, the dispatch time, the carrier's road allowance and the receiving windows that have actually been accepted. It is not a promise, and it is not a fixed loading hour. It is also not the passenger-car drive time from the route section.

Questions that decide a same-day arrival

• Is packing complete and the load ready, or will packing still be running when the vehicle arrives?
• Is the vehicle dedicated to your load or shared with other goods?
• Are the keys, the lift booking, the gate timing and any property permission at Khammam sorted for that day?
• Will someone be there with the authority to receive and sign?

For a full home, enquiries several days to a week ahead leave preparation time; allow more where possible for busy dates or a large load. Confirm availability rather than treating a general lead-time guide as a reservation.

Settle receiving at each point before dispatch

Before the vehicle leaves, each receiving point should have the keys, a person with the authority to accept, any property permission the building needs, a usable path from the vehicle to the door, and an accepted slot that is feasible. During transit, reconfirm the expected arrival and the readiness at the other end.

If receiving is not ready

If the problem is known before loading, resolve it first. Settle a suitable permitted handling method with a qualified person, a different workable slot or leaving the unresolved piece out. If it appears after the goods are loaded, arrange a feasible later slot or a confirmed holding arrangement. Keep the loaded items identified while the revised receiving arrangement is made. Holding terms to agree in writing

Holding is arranged only when both the operator and the location are confirmed. Before agreeing, ask for these in writing:

• The IDs and counts of what goes into holding, and its actual condition.
• Who can access the goods, and under what conditions.
• How long holding runs, and the rate for it.
• How the goods leave, and how redelivery is arranged.

If goods have to move between operators or locations, do it only where it is lawful and feasible, and agree the crew, the carrying, the unloading, the reloading and the local legs, with their scope and cost, once. IDs, counts and condition are recorded at each custody.

Payment and cancellation

Agree in writing how much notice is needed to reschedule, what is retained if you cancel, what is paid at booking, at loading and on delivery, and by which mode. Terms differ between providers, so we do not quote fixed percentages or a free-cancellation promise here. Ask for the actual terms and keep your receipts.

Invoice and tax

Ask for a written quote and an invoice with the GST treatment shown on them. If you need the invoice for reimbursement, check the current rules or ask your accountant.

Cover

A mover's responsibility for the goods it handles is not the same thing as an insurance policy. If you want cover, ask who the insurer is, what value is declared, what is excluded and how a claim is made. If you pack some boxes yourself, ask whether the mover will accept them, whether they will be inspected, and what handling cover applies. Do not assume.

Check whether your building requires photo ID, address proof, shifting permission or a goods-lift booking at either end. For a car or bike, keep the registration certificate and the insurance papers ready. Whether any other document is required depends on what is being carried, so check with the carrier and the official source instead of relying on a general statement.
