The J&K government’s 2024–25 Economic Survey records that the old toll on goods at Lakhanpur and other posts was abolished from 1 January 2020. That historical goods levy is separate from normal highway tolls or other applicable vehicle charges. Ask what each quoted charge covers rather than accepting an unexplained “Lakhanpur tax” line.

Confirm the paperwork for the actual load and purpose before dispatch. Personal effects, office assets and new stock can need different documents.

• Both full addresses, PIN codes and an authorised receiver.
• Consignment note or LR and itemised inventory.
• Requested identity, ownership or authorisation details; confirm what is needed before sharing copies.
