Packers and Movers Bangalore to Varanasi

Bangalore to Varanasi is a long one. Around 1,820 km by road, five states, and at the end of it a city where some old neighbourhoods need smaller-vehicle or manual last-mile delivery. Common reasons for the move include a transfer to BHU, IIT BHU or BLW, a posting at the Cantonment or with the Railways, or a family going back home to Banaras after years in Bengaluru.

The practical questions are easy to overlook. Packing that is fine for a local shift but not for four days on a highway. A quote that looks cheap and then grows at the Varanasi end. A truck that reaches Mohansarai and then can't get anywhere near a house in Bhelupur or Sonarpura. This page explains how we handle each of these, how to compare the moving estimate, and what you should check before you hand over your goods to anyone, including us.

Bangalore to Varanasi Packers and Movers Charges

Compare shared and dedicated transport using the same inventory and included work. These are planning estimates; bulky furniture, access and specialist packing affect the final written quote.

(1,400 – 2,200 CFT)
Dedicated FTL Recommended ₹82,000 – ₹1,25,000 1 – 2 Days 4–6 days for larger loads

The dedicated column’s planning window is generally 3–5 days; a larger villa can need 4–6 days. Shared household delivery should be planned around 5–8 days, depending on dispatch and consolidation. Have GST, optional cover, crating, technician work, stair carrying and final-mile transfer shown separately where applicable.

What actually decides your final price

Two 2 BHK flats can get very different quotes for the same route. Furniture volume and handling decide the work involved. These are the things that move the number up or down:

  • How much you are carrying, not how many rooms you have. A 2 BHK with a sofa set, two wardrobes, a fridge and a washing machine takes far more truck space than a 2 BHK with mostly cartons.
  • Shared or dedicated truck. Shared is cheaper because the truck carries more than one family's goods, but it waits to fill up and stops at more than one place. If you have a joining date to meet, the dedicated truck is usually worth the extra.
  • Floors and lift. Fourth floor with no lift in Bangalore, or a first-floor house in a narrow gali in Varanasi, means more manpower and more time.
  • Delivery address in Varanasi. If the truck can reach your door (Sigra, Mahmoorganj, Shivpur, Pandeypur and most of the newer colonies), it is straightforward. If it is inside the old city, goods move to smaller vehicles. We include this in the quote once you tell us the address, so tell us the exact lane, not just the area name.
  • Special packing. Wooden crates for a marble mandir, a glass dining top or a large TV cost extra because the crate is made for that item.
  • Car or bike along with the household. Compare a combined quote with separate transport; savings depend on space and handling.

Charges that can come up later, and how to avoid them

We would rather tell you this upfront than surprise you at delivery. Changes that should be priced and agreed before the added work include:

  • Items are added on packing day that were not in the survey. Show us everything, including the loft, the balcony and the storeroom.
  • You are not ready to receive the goods in Varanasi and the truck has to wait, or the goods have to go into storage. Agree any waiting or storage charge before dispatch.
  • The delivery address changes after dispatch.

Everything else, packing material, loading, freight, tolls, unloading and basic reassembly of what we opened, is in the written quote. If someone from our team asks for cash that is not on the quote, please call our main number and tell us.

Bangalore to Varanasi Distance, Route and Transit Time

Plan roughly 1,820 km, with the actual mileage depending on pickup, final delivery and the selected corridor. The broad road journey runs towards Hyderabad, Nagpur, Jabalpur and Rewa before Varanasi, crossing Karnataka, Telangana, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh.

A dedicated household vehicle can be planned around 3–5 days, while shared loads need around 5–8 days. Packing, departure, driver rest, road conditions and receiving access are separate from continuous driving time. Keep a buffer around travel and joining dates rather than making them depend on an exact truck arrival.

For a delivery outside Varanasi city, identify the final town before the route is assigned. A Ramnagar or Mirzapur address should not be treated as the same drop as an old-city lane.

Pickup from anywhere in Bangalore

We pick up from all parts of the city and the outskirts, including Whitefield, Marathahalli, Bellandur, Sarjapur Road, HSR Layout, Koramangala, BTM Layout, Electronic City, Bannerghatta Road, JP Nagar, Jayanagar, Hebbal, Yelahanka, Hennur, KR Puram, Rajajinagar and Malleshwaram.

One thing that catches people out in Bangalore is the apartment society. Many gated societies allow move-outs only during fixed hours and ask for a move-out pass or NOC from the association, and some charge for lift use. Speak to your facility manager a few days before the move, book the service lift, and tell us the timings. It saves a lot of standing around on the day.

Delivery Inside Old Kashi: Lanes, Ghats and Transfer Handling

For a Godowlia, Chowk, Dashashwamedh, Assi, Sonarpura or Maidagin address, check the exact lane and permitted unloading point; a large container may not reach the door. For these addresses, the truck stops at an agreed transit point outside the narrow-lane area and your goods go into a smaller pickup or tempo for the last part. Where even a tempo can't reach, our team carries things by hand or on a handcart.

Record the vehicle and any transfer arrangements in the booking. A dedicated highway journey and a smaller last-mile vehicle are different parts of the same delivery plan; have the handling and price included after the actual address is assessed.

Varanasi Residential Areas and the Exact Delivery Gate

For Sigra, Mahmoorganj, Lanka, Bhelupur, Ravindrapuri, Durgakund, Shivpur, Pandeypur, Sarnath, Harhua or Babatpur, share the actual gate and approach. A broad main road does not guarantee room for the vehicle inside a colony.

Use the full address for Orderly Bazar, Nadesar, Ashapur, Chitaipur, Manduadih, Kakarmatta and Paharia as well. Include the floor, lift dimensions, parking position and receiving contact. Any smaller-vehicle transfer or added carrying should be priced before dispatch.

Moving into BHU, BLW, Cantonment or Railway quarters

Campus and colony deliveries are different from a normal house. Security at the gate will want to know who the goods are for and where they are going. A few things make the day smoother:

  • Keep a copy of your joining letter, transfer order or quarter allotment letter on your phone and share it with us before dispatch.
  • Tell us the gate number and the name of the block or quarter, and whether the estate office needs to be informed in advance.
  • If your quarter is not handed over yet, tell us before the truck leaves Bangalore so storage availability or a revised dispatch can be discussed before the truck has to wait.

For the claim, many departments ask for a quotation before the move and the bill, LR and packing list after it. Tell us what your office needs at the time of booking, and we will make sure the names, dates and addresses match across all documents. Check names, dates and addresses across the documents; employer policy determines acceptance.

Packing Mandirs, Banarasi Silk, Instruments and Screens

Mandirs and pooja items

Give the weight, material and dimensions of marble mandirs or heavy idols during the survey. Dismantle suitable parts, use non-scratch cushioning and assess a rigid crate and lifting needs. Keep precious-metal valuables with you and label the pooja box you want to open first.

Silk garments and heirlooms

Pack clean, fully dry garments separately from liquids and kitchen goods, using suitable covers and strong cartons. Keep heavy objects away from delicate silk and zari work. A moisture barrier should not trap dampness inside a garment box.

Musical instruments

Identify sitars, tanpuras, tablas and harmoniums separately. Share their cases and dimensions so cushioning and suitable bracing can be assessed. Do not load a fragile instrument beneath ordinary furniture.

TVs and workstations

Back up data, photograph connections and label cable bags. Screens need supported corners, non-scratch protection and correctly sized outer boxes; exposed electronic components can need anti-static protection. Protect furniture surfaces, label fittings and restrain heavy goods against movement.

Bangalore to Varanasi Car and Bike Transport Charges

Vehicle serviceEstimated costPlanning point
Bike or scooter₹5,000–₹8,500Model, protective packing and securing assessed
Car carrier transport₹14,500–₹22,500Model, dimensions, carrier and collection arrangement assessed

A bike may be assessed for travel with the household load if there is suitable space and securing. A car needs a carrier arrangement matched to its dimensions. Ask whether the vehicle and household schedules differ; a combined booking does not automatically mean the same truck or a free vehicle move.

Compare road transport with railway parcel for a bike using the complete station drop-off, packing, booking availability and receiving cost. Choose the arrangement that fits your handling and arrival needs.

Shifting your car or bike: documents you will need

For transport, keep these ready:

  • RC copy, valid insurance copy and your ID proof
  • Fuel and battery preparation matched to the selected carrier’s instructions
  • Remove loose items, the bike's side boxes, and anything kept in the car boot
  • Duplicate keys stay with you

We note the odometer reading and photograph the vehicle from all sides at pickup, and you check it against the same photos at delivery.

Do you need to re-register a Karnataka vehicle in UP?

For a long-term move, check applicable NOC, registration and road-tax requirements with the Karnataka RTO and the destination UP RTO. BH-series and financed vehicles can have different requirements. A Karnataka tax refund depends on eligibility and the applicable process, and is separate from vehicle transport charges.

Delivery to towns around Varanasi

A lot of families on this route are not going to Varanasi city itself but to a home town nearby. For an address in Ramnagar, Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Nagar (Mughalsarai), Chandauli, Mirzapur, Bhadohi, Jaunpur, Ghazipur or Azamgarh, give the final town and PIN code at quotation stage. Service availability, mileage, handling and receiving time need a destination-specific plan rather than a fixed extra-day assumption.

When to plan a Bangalore to Varanasi move

You can move any month, but the season does affect this route more than most:

  • May and June: Varanasi gets very hot. Electronics and anything with wax, polish or adhesive should be well wrapped, and unloading is better done early morning or evening.
  • July to September: monsoon on the MP and UP stretch. Protect moisture-sensitive furniture and allow for rain-related delays.
  • December and January: fog on the highways in UP and MP slows trucks down, especially at night. Keep one or two extra days in hand.
  • Diwali, Chhath and Dev Deepawali: vehicle demand can rise and the area near the ghats gets heavy crowds and traffic restrictions. If your move falls in October or November, book early and avoid ghat-side delivery on festival days.
  • Shravan month: heavy crowds around Kashi Vishwanath and the old city. Deliveries in Chowk, Godowlia and Maidagin may need to be timed around this.

Within the month, the last week and first week are the busiest for movers in Bangalore because that is when leases end. If your dates are flexible, the middle of the month is easier to book.

Survey to Delivery: The Moving Process

  1. Survey: Share room-wise items, fragile pieces and access at both ends. Include loft, balcony and stored items.
  2. Quote and booking: Record packing, vehicle arrangement, optional work, delivery window and payment stages.
  3. Packing and dispatch: Number cartons by room, label furniture fittings and compare the loaded goods with the inventory. Keep the LR.
  4. Road journey: Agree the update contact and available tracking method; keep the receiver informed of arrival changes.
  5. Receiving: Complete the agreed final-mile handling, room placement and furniture refitting, then check the delivery record.

Dry appliances before packing. Keep regular medicines, valuables, documents and travel essentials with you. Leave out LPG cylinders, fuels, fireworks, hazardous chemicals and illegal items; discuss unusual liquids, batteries and plants before loading.

Transit Cover and Transfer-Claim Papers

Transit insurance is optional. Read the issued policy for its premium, declared value, covered risks, exclusions, deductible and reporting deadline. A transport quotation does not establish a complimentary benefit or guaranteed payout.

Keep pre-packing photos and the delivery record. Report visible damage promptly, with photographs, the LR and inventory, following the actual policy or transport terms. Any insurer assessment follows the issued policy.

Documents for an employer claim

Get the BHU, BLW, railway, defence, bank or other employer’s checklist before booking. It may require a quotation, GST invoice, consignment note, numbered packing list and receipts, plus applicable insurance or weighment papers. Arrange these in advance; acceptance follows employer policy.

Identify personal household effects, new purchases and company goods accurately because documentation requirements can differ. Do not apply a blanket household-value rule to every shipment.

On delivery day in Varanasi: what to check before you sign

  1. Where a dedicated load has a recorded seal, check it against the dispatch record before opening.
  2. Count the cartons against the packing list. Each carton has a number.
  3. Open and check the TV, fridge, washing machine and any glass items in front of our team.
  4. If anything is damaged or missing, write it on the delivery receipt before signing, and take photos. Without this note, an insurance claim becomes very difficult.
  5. Inform us and the insurer quickly. The policy has a time limit for reporting damage.

Keep the delivery record and photographs with your consignment papers for any follow-up.

Delayed Keys, Storage and Varanasi to Bangalore Moves

If the keys or quarter handover are not ready, discuss storage availability before dispatch. Agree the holding location, duration, handling, charges, cover and redelivery plan separately. Keep urgent work and travel items out of a load that may need holding.

For Varanasi to Bangalore, request a fresh quote with the Varanasi pickup location, inventory and complete Bangalore address. The packing checks are similar, but reverse-route departure and receiving access can differ.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is an e-way bill needed for shifting household goods from Karnataka to UP?
Personal household effects, new purchases and business goods can have different documentation requirements. Give an accurate item list and keep the LR, inventory and applicable declaration. Do not assume household value alone determines an e-way-bill requirement.
Which is better for a bike, train parcel or truck?
Compare the full railway-parcel and road arrangements, including station drop-off, packing requirements, departure availability and collection. If household goods are already moving, ask for an assessed combined bike quotation rather than assuming a fixed saving.
Do I need to be present at both ends?
Someone you trust needs to be there at packing and at delivery, to show the items and to check and sign. It does not have to be you. Just share their name and number with us in advance.
How do I pay?
Use the payment stages and accepted methods recorded in your booking. Have any advance, its adjustment in the final bill and the remaining due dates written down, and keep receipts.
Can my goods be stored if my house in Varanasi is not ready?
Discuss availability before dispatch and agree the holding location, duration, handling, cover, charges and redelivery plan separately. Do not assume storage is included in a normal moving quote.
Do you also shift from Varanasi to Bangalore?
Request a fresh Varanasi to Bangalore quote with both addresses and the item list. Reverse-route vehicle availability and receiving access can differ.
How early should I book?
One to two weeks before is usually enough. During October and November, and at month-end, book earlier because trucks for north India get booked fast.
How many days does Bangalore to Varanasi moving take?
Plan around 3–5 days for a dedicated household vehicle and 5–8 days for a shared load. Larger homes can need longer packing or handling. Departure, weather and final access affect arrival.
What are the 1 BHK, 2 BHK and 3 BHK moving charges?
Shared estimates are ₹19,500–₹27,000 for 1 BHK, ₹29,000–₹41,000 for 2 BHK and ₹41,000–₹58,000 for 3 BHK. Dedicated estimates are ₹31,000–₹42,000, ₹42,000–₹58,000 and ₹58,000–₹79,000 respectively. Survey and agreed work determine the quotation.
What are bike and car transport charges?
Bike or scooter transport is estimated at ₹5,000–₹8,500 and car carrier transport at ₹14,500–₹22,500. Model, packing, carrier and collection arrangement affect the quote.
How is delivery planned inside old Varanasi lanes?
Share the exact lane and gate before dispatch. Where the main vehicle cannot reach, a smaller pickup, tempo or additional carrying may be needed. Record the transfer arrangement and cost in the quote.
Can you deliver to BHU, BLW or Cantonment quarters?
Share the exact gate, block or quarter and receiving contact. Check any estate-office or security permission before dispatch, and advise the team if the quarter is not handed over.
How should marble mandirs and musical instruments be packed?
Give dimensions, material, weight and existing cases during the survey. Suitable cushioning, rigid crating or bracing and lifting should be assessed separately; do not place delicate instruments beneath ordinary furniture.
Are highway tolls included?
Have highway freight, tolls, loading and unloading listed in the written scope, with taxes and optional work identified. Include any last-mile transfer or carrying after the actual address is assessed.
What if the goods arrive damaged?
Check the inventory at delivery, photograph visible damage and note it on the delivery receipt. Inform the booking team promptly and follow any policy reporting deadline and assessment process.
