Shared truck or dedicated truck – which one to choose?
For a 1 BHK or smaller inventory with a flexible receiving date, a shared truck can be a useful option. You save a good amount, and the only trade-off is a few extra days, because the truck also carries other customers' goods and makes drops on the way.
If you are moving a full 2 or 3 BHK, have kids' school admission or an office joining date fixed, or simply don't want your goods to be unloaded anywhere in between, take a dedicated truck. The booking should specify exclusive space, the sealing arrangement and any planned transfer. A smaller final-delivery vehicle may still be needed if the Jaipur lane cannot take the main truck.
A few ways to bring the cost down
- Sell or give away old furniture before the move. Compare the moving cost of an old wardrobe or mattress with its remaining use and replacement cost.
- Avoid month-end dates if you can. The last and first week of the month is the busiest time for shifting in Bangalore, and both trucks and labour are in demand.

Rain can slow loading and highway travel, so keep cartons off wet ground and plan covered loading wherever possible. Rajasthan’s summer heat makes an early permitted unloading slot more comfortable for the crew and household. In cooler months, keep room for visibility-related delays. How We Pack for a 2,000 km Journey
Packing for a move inside Bangalore and packing for Jaipur are not the same. A local shift can have a much shorter road leg. On this route, the goods may be in transit for several days, with speed breakers, braking and vibration all the way. So we pack in layers.
- Furniture: Beds, wardrobes and dining tables are opened by our carpenter, wrapped in foam sheet, then corrugated sheet, and finally stretch film so that dust and water don't get in. Screws and fittings go in a labelled packet taped to the same piece.
- TV, monitors and computers: Screens get bubble wrap and a thermocol sheet in front, and go into a strong carton. If you still have the original box, give it to us – its fitted inserts can help if the box is still sound.
- Fridge and washing machine: Defrost the fridge a day before and dry the washing machine and prepare transit bolts according to its instructions. We wrap both in bubble wrap and corrugated sheet and load them standing up.
- Crockery and glass: Each plate and glass is wrapped separately and packed tight in a divided box so nothing moves inside.
- Pooja mandir, glass table tops, marble items: Assess these for fitted wooden crating and include it in the estimate.
- Clothes, books and kitchen items: Packed room-wise in fresh cartons, each one numbered and labelled with the room name, so unpacking in Jaipur is easy.

Walled-city lanes and society gates need different plans

If the lane needs a smaller Tata Ace or pickup for the last stretch, include the transfer and carrying work in the estimate. Avoid setting an unloading time from an old no-entry schedule.
For Jagatpura, Mansarovar, Vaishali Nagar or the Ajmer Road side, share the actual gate width, ramp clearance, floor and service-lift slot. A newer colony does not automatically mean a large truck can reach every building entrance.

Before handover, prepare the fuel and battery according to the booked carrier’s instructions, remove loose personal belongings and detachable accessories from the vehicle, and take photos of all sides along with the odometer reading. We note the condition of the vehicle on the handover sheet in front of you.
Documents You Need for Bangalore to Jaipur Shifting
For household goods, the paperwork is simple:

Transit Insurance
Transit insurance is optional and separate from the physical packing service. Choose the declared goods value, then check the premium and actual cover before dispatch. Road accident, fire, breakage, loading and unloading are covered only as stated in the issued policy.
Read the policy schedule for exclusions, deductible, depreciation and the claim-notice deadline. Owner-packed goods, storage and delicate items may have particular conditions. Keep the inventory, invoice, consignment note and condition photos for any claim. Note visible damage on the delivery receipt and notify the coordinator and insurer promptly under the policy procedure.
Bills for Company Reimbursement
If your company is paying for the move, we give you a proper GST invoice, the bilty / LR copy and payment receipt. These are the documents most HR teams ask for. If your company needs the quotation in a specific format before approval, send it to us and we will prepare it accordingly.
