Household moves, 1 BHK to 4 BHK

The core service is packing, loading, road transport and unloading with normal access. Furniture dismantling and refitting, appliance handling and unpacking can be added. Each one is written into the quote as included or charged.

Transferred employees

If your employer pays or reimburses the move, ask for the quote split the way your claim form needs it, with packing, transport, vehicle and extras on separate lines. A signed inventory also helps if the company asks what was moved.

Students and few-item moves

For a bed, a study table, several cartons or a bike, compare a shared consignment with a suitably sized dedicated arrangement. These jobs are priced on counted items, their size and weight, the packing needed and access at both ends, subject to a minimum chargeable basis.

Light offices

Desks, chairs, files, computers and printers for a small office or branch setup. Business assets are listed apart from anyone's personal goods.

Cars and bikes

We coordinate vehicle transport after assessing the model and its condition. Vehicles run on their own carrier calendar, which is confirmed separately from the household goods.

Holding and storage on request

If your Srinagar home is not ready, or the highway is restricted, goods may need to wait. Holding or storage can be requested subject to availability. Agree the custodian, location, access, duration, cost, release notice, redelivery window and any key-delay charges before loading.

Noida to Srinagar shifting charges

The figures below are planning guides for the core household service: packing, loading, road transport and unloading with normal access. Use them to budget for the agreed scope. Your surveyed inventory, access, date and mode determine the written quote and may put it outside a band.

Why the ranges are wide

BHK count is only a starting point, and two flats of the same size can hold very different volumes. A lighter inventory with easy access sits nearer the low end, while more furniture, fragile items and difficult access push the figure up. The low and high ends are not separate prices for shared and dedicated vehicles. The vehicle mode is decided inside your quote, and your inventory may fall outside these guides altogether.

What sits outside the core figure

• Wooden crates for large glass, mirrors or art
• Waiting or holding charges if dispatch is held
• Stairs where no usable lift is available
• Long carry between the vehicle and the door
• A shuttle vehicle if the main vehicle cannot reach

• A qualified technician for appliance or AC work

Each of these is either priced as a separate line or written as included. If something is not mentioned, ask before you confirm.

A worked example (hypothetical)

Suppose a 2 BHK core move is quoted at ₹32,000 and the Srinagar building needs an agreed long carry at ₹1,500. The total is ₹33,500 before GST, any cover you select and any other extras you agree. This shows how a quote adds up. It is not a real job or invoice.

Count packing once

Some quotes give a full-service price, while others show freight with packing on its own line. An itemised packing line may be part of the core total. Check that the same materials or labour have not also been added to the payable amount a second time.

Car and bike transport from Noida to Srinagar

The vehicle figures below are planning guides for common models, for budgeting before a model-specific quote. Confirm the carrier type, collection and handover points, dates and included work.

For an SUV, EV, premium or non-running vehicle, the model, any packing needed, the transport mode and the carrier's availability are checked before a figure is given.

Preparing the vehicle

• Photograph every side, the wheels, the interior and any existing marks, in good light.
• Note the odometer reading on the handover record.
• Agree which keys are handed over.
• Keep the original RC and insurance with you, and give the copies the carrier asks for.
• Follow the maker's and operator's guidance on fuel level, battery and EV charge. There is no automatic rule to drain fuel or disconnect the battery.
• Check with the operator how your FASTag should be handled.
• Remove unattached personal items, chargers, documents and valuables from the cabin and boot; ask before dismantling any fitted accessory.

Your car or bike may be collected and handed over on different days from the household goods. Both calendars are confirmed separately.

At delivery in Srinagar

Before signing, check the vehicle against the handover photos, odometer reading, key count and handover record. Note any new mark, missing item or difference on the delivery record while the carrier's representative is present, and photograph it.

If the car or bike will be used in Jammu and Kashmir for a long period, check the current re-registration and road tax requirements with the relevant transport authority. That is a separate process from the transport booking.

Distance, route and provisional delivery time

A driving map checked on 18 October 2026 showed three Noida to Srinagar options:

Use these as a reference of about 825–900 km and 17–20 hours by car. They are not goods vehicle or full-move times. A map may route around a temporary closure, so the options it shows on another day can differ. NH44 appears in all three labels, but that does not mean every stretch is fixed or that any section is open on a given day.

Provisional timelines

• Dedicated vehicle: about 3–6 days from packing to unloading. This is a planning estimate based on the distance plus driver rest, handling, and dispatch and receiving slots, not on company trip records.
• Shared or part load: about 5–9 days from pickup, including time to consolidate a load. Dispatch and delivery dates are confirmed separately.
• Cars and bikes: the carrier's own collection and handover dates, which may not match the household goods.

Highway restrictions, holds or weather can push any of these longer. The next three sections cover how that is managed.

Checking the Jammu and Kashmir traffic advisory before dispatch

The Jammu and Kashmir Traffic Police publish date-specific traffic advisories on their official portal, with dated documents available on their official advisory page. For a move to Srinagar, the operator should check the applicable advisory alongside current conditions and vehicle permissions before deciding when to proceed.

Permitted timings and vehicle categories change, so we do not print fixed opening hours here or say the road is clear. Ask the coordinator to confirm the applicable dated advisory, the approach decision and the next update time.

The driver travels as the actual permissions allow. A car drive time on a map is not a promise for a loaded goods vehicle.

If the highway is restricted: holding and custody terms

If the road is restricted after loading, your goods may have to wait. Agree these terms in writing before anything is loaded:

• Custodian: who is responsible for your goods while they wait, and how to reach them.
• Location: where the vehicle or goods will be held, stated as precisely as possible.
• Inventory: the count and condition recorded at loading carry through. Any transfer to another vehicle or store is recorded against the same list.
• Notification: how soon you are told about a hold, and how often you hear after that.
• Cost: whether waiting or holding is included up to a point, and the rate after it.
• Release and redelivery: how goods move on once permitted, and what happens if your receiving date has to change.

No mover can promise that a vehicle will never be held or that the road will be passable in every kind of weather. What you can have is a clear record of who holds your goods, where, and on what terms.

Receiving in Srinagar: getting the approach right

Srinagar city lies on both banks of the Jhelum in the central Kashmir valley. A locality name or a well-known landmark is often not enough for a goods vehicle. The driver needs to know which bank to approach from and exactly where to stop.

What to send before dispatch

• Full address with PIN code
• Building name, floor, and whether a usable lift is available
• The goods entrance, if it differs from the main gate
• Where the vehicle can park and roughly how far that is from the door
• A photo or short video of the last stretch of the approach
• Name and number of a local receiver if you will not be there

When the vehicle cannot reach the door

Lane width, parking and local rules vary from street to street. We do not assume every lane is narrow or that every delivery needs a shuttle. If the survey or your photos show tight access, a long carry or a smaller shuttle vehicle is quoted as a separate line before booking, so it does not appear as a surprise on delivery day.

Updates and a fallback contact

Agree before loading how updates will reach you and what happens if your main number cannot be reached on delivery day.

• Update channel: call, SMS or a messaging app, and how often you will hear during transit and during any hold.
• Alternate contact: a second number for you or a family member.
• Receiver handover: the name of the person authorised to accept the goods and sign.
• Inventory access: a copy of the inventory with you or your receiver, so the count can be checked at unloading.

Keep the coordinator's number and the vehicle details somewhere besides your phone.

Noida pickup: survey and loading access

Confirm loading access alongside the inventory survey:

• Society move-out rules: permitted hours, gate pass, lift booking and any deposit.
• Lift: compare the lift cabin and door dimensions and rated load with your largest packed item, plus the crew and trolley that travel with it.
• Vehicle parking: where the truck can stand and how far that is from the tower entrance.
• What stays: items you are selling, leaving behind or carrying yourself.

An in-person or video survey lets us count the inventory, measure the large pieces and record access before the quote is written.

Packing for a long road haul

Cartons, furniture and glass

• Books go in smaller cartons so each one stays liftable.
• Crockery is wrapped piece by piece, with cushioned edges and filled gaps, and the carton is marked fragile with its orientation.
• Polished or painted furniture gets a soft layer before stretch film, and no tape touches a finished surface.
• Assess the supported orientation and restraint of each mirror or heavy glass piece. Crating is assessed for size, construction and handling needs.
• Screws and fittings go in a labelled bag, wrapped again and listed against a named carton.

Appliances and IT

• Fridge: where the maker's guidance calls for it, defrost, drain, clean and dry it. Transport it in the orientation the maker allows and follow the maker's advice before restarting.
• Washing machine: drain and dry it, then fit the correct transport locks if your model needs them and remove them before use. If they are missing, ask the maker or a technician.
• Computers and servers: take a verified backup before packing and have a qualified person recommission the equipment. Passwords and credentials stay with the owner.

Items that do not go with household goods

• Gas cylinders, fuels, flammable liquids and chemicals need an appropriate specialist.
• Pets and plants are not part of the household load by default.
• Jewellery, cash, important documents and spare keys travel with you.

Few-item, student and light office moves

Few items

For a student or single professional, the price depends on the item count, each item's dimensions and weight, the packing needed, and access for loading and unloading at both ends. Ask whether a minimum or dimensional chargeable basis applies to the quoted consignment. Share a list or a quick video and the quote is built from that rather than from a BHK label.

Light office

• List assets with their owner, whether the company or a named person.
• Record serial numbers or asset tags for computers, printers and network equipment.
• Back up data before packing and plan for qualified setup at the new office.
• Label by desk or department so unpacking goes in order.

Keep household and business goods apart

If you are also moving shop stock, handicraft goods or tools of trade, declare them. They go on a separate inventory with their own owner and dimensions, so handling, acceptance and documents can be assessed for the actual mixed consignment.

Documents, e-way bill and optional cover

Used personal and household effects are listed in the annexure to Rule 138 of the CGST Rules among goods for which an e-way bill is generally not required. New goods, trade stock and business assets in the same consignment are a different matter. Check those with the operator and your accountant. Apply the used-household-effects exemption separately from the rules for taxable goods; packaging or a value threshold alone does not establish the household-move requirement.

Do not assume a fixed list of identity documents or forms. Ask what the carrier needs for your consignment. For a vehicle, keep the original RC and insurance with you and hand over copies. GST is charged as applicable and shown on the invoice.

Optional transit cover

Cover is optional. Before choosing it, check:

• Who provides the cover
• What is excluded
• The declared value per item and in total
• The deadline for reporting a claim
• The evidence a claim needs, such as photos, the inventory and the packaging

The provider's wording, exclusions and claim conditions determine the cover and premium.

How the move runs, step by step

1. Enquiry: share your move date, Noida and Srinagar addresses, home size, and any vehicle or business goods.
2. Survey: in person or by video, covering inventory, large-item sizes and access at both ends.
3. Written quote: the core scope, vehicle mode, extras listed separately, timelines, and holding terms.

Payment, changes and claim records

Payment and changes

The payment schedule should be written into the quote: how much is due at booking, at loading and at delivery. Keep receipts for every payment. Agree postponement and cancellation terms before an advance; if the inventory, date or access changes, get the revised scope and price in writing before the work goes ahead.

Checks at delivery

• In heavy rain or snow, pause carrying until a covered, dry and safe handling route or staging point is available. If the pause runs past the building's permitted unloading hours, agree beforehand which options are available: waiting on the vehicle, moving to the next permitted slot or using agreed holding. Confirm who has custody meanwhile and whether waiting or a second visit is charged.
• Count cartons and items against the inventory numbers.
• Note visible damage or shortages on the delivery record before signing.
• Photograph anything damaged while it is still in its packaging.

If a carton arrives wet

• Record its inventory number and photograph its condition before opening it.
• Handle the contents according to the material and the maker's care guidance. Not every item should simply be opened and air-dried.
• Keep the carton and packing material until any claim is settled.
• Have a qualified person inspect any wet electrical item before it is powered on.
